how many clubs have signed players yet? Not many. Could be worse we could be down the A500 where they have lost £30 million last year, re-signed a player who wasnt good enough for wolves on loan last year and the spin is they only need a leftback and they'll be fine! Most players current contracts dont expire until next week and we could be after players whose current clubs are trying to keep, eg Loft at Vale, so we possibly cant announce our signings until next week. Im sure everything is fine

Radio Stokes news today is that we hope to have some signings for the Ireland trip.

 

i mean agreed in the sense I agree with Wayne's comments the deals are done (either signed or just in principal). I suspect no snippets are coming out because Smurf is a proper business man and we will no longer have the he said she said rumours of the mold regime

To me it does it's blatantly obvious that deals are already done and will be announced soon we are a professionally run outfit now no need to panic all in good time

Smurf was confident at last weeks SC meeting that his 'Sweetie jar' would amaze us......so personally i am feeling confident about on and off field matters.....I think he will announce OFF field matters and allow MA to announce ON field stuff.

R. Stoke sport report this morning reckons that Vale will make a number of signings in the next ten days. I have no problem with this as the better players are more confident to negotiate for longer and these 'delays' (as seen by the more impatient supporters) will quickly be forgotten if the right players are eventually signed.

The last time we made a load of signings early doors was the year we brought in Tudar, Edwards and Roecastle. Look how thr worked out. If you get players in early it normally means no other club has any interest in them!

Too true some posters have been citing rovrum as an example as they have signed x amount of players who with the exception of Worrall from bury I would b disappointed if we had signed them

We got half the squad in early last season and look what happened there, terrible season.
