Simply because there are now a few people who have nothing better to do than to just keep giving thumbs down. But they don't have the guts to add their name or give a reason. All very childish from them.Just ignore it one day these people will eventually grow up.For some strange reason they seem to get a kick out of doing nothing more than abusing the thumbs up/down feature for no apparant reason.

I voted it thumbs down.

I have no particular reason.

I think it could well been seen as abusing the feature. In the thread about the Stoke fan Mabel who is ill I wished her well only to get thumbs down. How could anyone really not wish her to get well, why give a get well message a thumbs down?

It obviously keeps the childish ones occupied for a short while.

Hang on. So giving you the thumbs up is abusing the feature too?!? I'm lost. Ill give this on the thumbs down just to even thinks up, a positive cancelling out a negative and all that.

We love Ireland and the people are fantastic,we have been around 5 times now and the last two times(the last being Easter) we have stayed in Ballybunnion in a 4 bedroom cottage with it's own beach(just pm me if anyone wants details,it cost us £600 a week for Easter but if 2 families share it's a bargain).

£600 is decent regardless, especially at Easter.

Looking at cottages in Cornwall out of season for next year and they are way more than that! Might have to try Ireland instead!

Was gonna say Athlone is midway across sort of half way between Dublin and Galway distance wise. Went the match there about 3 years ago nice little town quite picturesque with a few decent boozers.

They all sell the usual Guinness, Beamish or Murphy's(like you'd expect in Ireland) but we found a nice pub for lunch and the locals were friendly enough!

I seem to remember it has quite an active lock with river and canal boats going through it which you could sit there watching all day if you're into that sort of thing!

As I remember it Athlone is about central, half way between Galway and the east coast ferries , as we had an overnight stop there, making the journey home with a breakfast time ferry. We parked our van on the banks of a river (on a registered site) . Nice spot for a days visit but not too much going on. Found a decent pub and a Spar , didn't need much else.

She's a Stoke fan isn't she? I don't see your point.
