  1. We did that month not too many to choose from for November or October though (I think we scored 1 league goal in an October and that was at home to Cheltenham!)
  2. I like signings / potential signings like this. Clearly a fair amount is scouting has gone into this and like Jesse could hopefully turn out decent. No harm in a short contract to see if he’s up to it
  3. Who sounds entitled? I’m happy with e the position but the football has been dreadful at times. Performances like Saturday aren’t acceptable
  4. I’m more than happy to have 2/3 seasons 14th ish in league 1 and by then hopefully have a squad capable of challenging for a play off place. I just can’t stand the football that’s been on display at times this season
  5. The win at Exeter we got battered. Agree with the other two games. For me it’s too irregular. There are far too many off performances or boring performances.
  6. Weren’t we after that portsmouth wing back in the summer? I’d be surprised if we’re not back in for him if available
  7. Are the academy players that good or is the fact that we have recruited so poorly that we have had to use them? I personally don’t feel the club communicate enough. I don’t want a running commentary but it would be nice to know where the likes of Dan Jones have disappeared to again. Higher average attendance is kind of a given recently given the higher league and the QF yes a good achievement but we didn’t beat one side above us, the first real test, we didn’t turn up. For me, it’s possibly the owners ‘championship ready’ comments and the overall potential that seems to be at the club that is maybe putting fans off when we’re having these bad patches. Personally, since Cheltenham I think the football has been dire - the odd performance aside. Blackpool was much better but then we follow it up with that showing at Carlisle. I think the potential is there and last season being in a very good position to potentially push on and get a play off place, we decided to sit back and go backwards and not back DC. You then have another window in the summer with the same glaring errors as previous. Over recruiting in midfield, letting your only striker go before recruiting one. Signing loft. Signing injury prone players, leaving LWB wide open but letting Benning leave. Same issue as season before with Covalon. Letting Forrester go and replacing him with a league 2 player. I think, given the overall league position of the club is fine (at the moment - I still think we will struggle) and i would have taken at the start of the season. To me it just feels like we haven’t kicked in since this time last year and have downgraded with the manager. Too many similarities throughout games in which he isn’t learning. Add to this that Flitcroft is one of the most unlikeable blokes I’ve met. I think we need to hear genuine expectations from the club. Are we now a club that wants to use our own youth system or are we a club that’s ‘championship ready’. If someone came out and said this is the path the club is going down, it may give AC a little bit of slack. Overall for me I think the promotion season and start to last season and failing to take that chance has probably given some false expectations. But then the football has been so poor at times that for me it’s hard to feel positive about the club. I maintain that both the manager and DOF should be let go. We shouldn’t be losing to bottom of the table at every given chance.
  8. Pretty sure that poll is way out of date. It will be 80/20 in favour of him going
  9. Didn’t know a manager could get a side promoted mid season! What kind of argument is that against a manager.
  10. Devine was injured but Crosby kept him on, he could barely move at the end
  11. Get him gone. He should have gone after Cheltenham. He’s not a manager. Sorry if the ‘sane’ and carol disagree, but he’s only taking us in one direction.
  12. What level is Irish prem? (In terms of league 1/2 ect. Seen Waterford striker is leaving on a free scored 33 in 29 last season, leaving to play in England. (Ronan coughlan)
  13. Makes sense to sign Wilson up. Our forward options are woeful and don’t suit our style of play, Wilson does. He will more than likely only play 10 games but given our current situation that’s better than playing Loft for 10 games. End of season deal makes sense, re asses at the end of the season if he can’t get through with no injuries then maybe another contract. Needs more goals though.
  14. There’s a lot worse places for a young lad to go out on loan.
  15. What’s going on with them didn’t realise things were so bad - Crosby for the season then!
  16. Shame RE Arblaster but was always going to happen. This is the danger with loans. Fantastic player and one of the best I’ve seen play for vale period. Destined for big things and I hope he makes it big. Going to be tough to replace him in Jan. I think we saw the state of our midfield without him in recent weeks. (And Ojo)
  17. I 100% think he would be a better manager for us
  18. Why would they? Isn’t that what happens in football? Names get mentioned when they impress - not really sure your point is on this one
  19. If he’s on about summer (in window signings) then I’m guessing he is excluding Uche but leaving in Jesse as he’s done well. So by that count it’s 5 in 14. Either way the window was a right mess again
  20. Pete wild would have been a brilliant appointment, think we have missed the boat on that one now with Barrow flying
  21. Hell yes, that would be horrendous. What other good signings did we make? Iacovetti is very poor. Chislett and Deborah great signings. Devine and Arblaster as well but both will probably go back. The rest have been very poor
  22. Don’t think he’s been very good anyway. The odd good moment but largely ineffective. Arblaster is a class above him
  23. vegan club as well, like you say, stinks of a publicity stunt. Will not end well, that club is on a downward spiral, I think they needed an experienced manager, not Duncan Ferguson and not a female manager
