  1. I made this thread so I could show the difference between the % of people who want Carol to sell the club vs wanting DF to be relieved of his duties.
  2. I think you need 3 keepers and one comes from the academy but will only be on the bench if we are desperate. If we had a good academy keeper id send him out on loan to play games. I like Sang but he's not good enough at right back and not good enough in midfield. I'd transfer list with a view that if we can recruit someone else for his spot in the squad he can go. But realistically we are already looking at 10 spots just to plug the gaps. It's going to be another massive summer upheaval regardless of which division we're in. At least we didn't sign 24 players, 19 of which not in the first team and still look to get relegated to our lowest point in 20 years...
  3. HR paperwork person
  4. I think we need 10 players without even losing anyone who is under contract. 4 free transfers, 4 loans and fill the two obvious holes from January 24, summer 23 and January 23.
  5. Assuming we can stay in this league; Get rid of the players out of contract - Massey, Wilson, Uche and Cass. Offer Leutwiler another year as we aren't going to get better that is happy to sit on the bench Transfer list - Grant, Loft, Sang, Jones, Yak Even if you can't get rid of any of these we would still need; 1x LB 1x CB (replacing Kacper) 2x Midfielders (replacing gore and weir) 2 or 3 wide midfielders (1 to replace Mighton) 4, yes 4, strikers!
  6. I think choosing not to renew your season ticket because you are not enjoying going to games is fair enough. Football clubs don't have a god given right to your cash That's a different way of framing it to protesting against the DOF and / or owner
  7. We need 19pts to ensure safety Write off these games; Derby, Bolton, Leyton Orient Very winnable games = Fleetwood, Exeter, Shrewsbury, Cambridge = 12 pts That leaves Wigan (A), Oxford (H), Burton (A), Bristol Rovers (H), and Northampton (A) for 8 points. I still think we can stay up, but its going to be really close and I think we will go into the Cambridge game needing a win to stay up.
  8. Looks like reading have pulled away from the drop zone Two places left in the fight (Fleetwood and Carlisle already gone for me) and how many clubs are at serious risk of going down? 3?4? I think we have to win the three team group of us, Shrewsbury and Charlton - tough ask!
  9. Get rid now so we can run a thorough and proper recruitment process for his replacement
  10. Back 4 and 3 up front with wide players please.
  11. How many young players were out there and better than those two? We were never going to be able to replace them with better young loan players. We should have changed tactic
  12. I thought we looked better than we have for most of the season. On the front foot, pressing harder. We will get better when DM has had more time with the players to get them well drilled. We will get better with other players back from injury. I have every faith we will stay up now. If we had the right manager in charge for the start of the season we wouldn't be in this mess. The squad was infinitely better than the one we have now. But DF <ovf censored> that one up (again) and we will scrape through staying in the league. I'd like him gone now so we can get someone else in for the summer but realistically he's going nowhere unless we're relegated
  13. Yep listened just now. As a vocal critic of DF I am sorry to hear he has had abuse - no place for personal abuse - it's just a job. Singing for him to get out of the club is a different thing - fans are entitled to their opinion. Overall my feeling hasn't changed; - Timing of the interview is interesting. Would we have got this podcast if we had hired a manager that the fans weren't happy about? - We could have gambled on a PL2 player who DF thought might not be good enough - they would be better than a Dipepa surely?!? - No mention of the left back - All our striker options we blame the other club or the player - there is no acceptance that we are perhaps fishing in the wrong pool - Long-term plans are great but short term we need to address the mistakes that have been made - If we can afford Darren Moore now - who could we have got last summer when the club needed a reset? - If we had let Crosby go after the Cheltenham game when it was painfully obvious he wasn't up to the job we would have had an opportunity to get more points on the board and the new manager's influence in the squad. The same pool of players available yes, but managers have a pull and also their own feelings of the kind of players we are missing. I think he has done so good things and some bad things. Hiring a bad manager last summer and the overall transfer windows since being promoted to league one are enough for me to think someone else could do a better job in that position.
  14. DM usually plays 3 5 2 so I expect that was part of the reason as to why he was recruited The two is interesting though - not sure how we play 2 up front currently
  15. He's got a job at Royal Mail? Nah seriously, we gotta back him until the end of the season - maybe in the summer he moves on but for now he is a vale player!
  16. Does anyone know if Darren is in charge tonight? Haven't seen any quotes
  17. What an appointment!! Delighted - no matter the hate for DF we've gotta back the club now.
  18. Mahoosive game - hope we've got the new manager in place in time for it.
  19. With Moore being quite religious I guess he will giving up his free weekends for a minimum of 40 days. Hopefully longer
  20. In October Should never have been given it after his caretaker job in May. Needed a clean sweep but I'm glad we've got it now. I really hope it is Moore or someone equally appealing. To be linked with an exciting prospect and then to get a cheap unappealing option would do some damage for moral. I'd like to believe appointing Moore or someone of that ilk will unite the fans for a few games at least
  21. Some said when he was appointed in May it would end in relegation. But I still think a good manager can get enough points to keep us up.
  22. How was the reaction against DF?
  23. I have no doubt that Carlisle will finish bottom.
