I don't think that is relevant, a confident and confident striker would have done something like that. He hardly even had a shot. Watching live I thought that the defender had got a touch but can see from the replay that he didn't.

Why did nobody tell Plant that he didn't need to put the ball out for the corner which they scored from? He could have punted it up the wing, there was no-one closer to the touchline all the way up the pitch. Loft should have done that at the other side first of course.

It is common for the new owners to keep the founders of the company on board for a period of time after a sale like this, it isn't like buying a car and just reading the handbook to see how everything works.

Haven't you noticed that most teams we have played this season look better organised and play like a team? We haven't played like that for a couple of seasons so it is easy to forget how a team is supposed to play.

I doubt it. It is not that simple of course, there are a lot of Powerpoint presentations to prepare before you actually recruit a player.

I think part of the issue of the off field spending for me is that it doesn't seem to have been done very well for the amount it cost.

That is the point though, it does dim the hope. The corner seems to get further away rather than closer as we reverse towards league 2.

Difficult choice, keep watching mediocre football in the hope it gets better, or not. I think in some ways it would have been kinder to let Smurthwaite put the dog down rather than watching it struggle.
