Ben lomax is a better option at RCB than him. We have won one and l0st two of the League games Ben has played in. It is too early to judge if he is going to be a better option, this is his first season of mens football.

I thought he looked quite good technically in the brief period we saw but he needs to learn when to try the tricks and when to just hoof it away, he did some clever footwork in our penalty area while Reading where attacking and then put the ball into an area where it was picked up by a Reading player in a good position to attack our goal. Bit like Devine did against Charlton which led to one of their goals. Overall I think he will be OK, especially since he has already played with Devine but he needs to adapt to mens football which is a different mix of technical ability and bloody mindedness.

Jordan Hughill was a non league gem, unfortunately we let him go for Smurfs wallet.

It is one of the busy seasons for transfers, players and agents will be all over the place looking for moves. Some of the dodgy rumours are probably based on truth but the final destination of any players is down to the deal on offer.

I would prefer to hear news of potential signings rather than worry how much we have paid for existing ones, although I can see that the two are related.

You replied to the comment that st*ke was a graveyard for young players by naming 5 that had been reasonably successful. I was just asking about the other members of the same age groups, how many of them are now out of football altogether or playing in non league?

But what about the other 25 or so players in the same age group?

I imagine that the club is aware of the shortcomings of the current squad but it is a complex process to sign new players. You only have to look at the Rhys Walters situation to see that. It seems like a no brainer for him to accept our offer since he is already playing for us but he hasn't as far as I am aware.

Thing is, we can only sign players who want to sign for us on the terms we offer.
