It’s not Darren’s fault but he can get us bouncing back
Rampant Zebra replied to Jim Gammon's topic in Port Vale present
I think once you walk away it is difficult to come back. I have seen quite a few people who have given up their season tickets and most of them haven't been since. -
Uche has scored goals in the championship recently for Wycombe, Middlesbrough and Cardiff. I think he will be fine in league 2 with a proper preseason.

I watched Stafford Rangers play Ashton United on Saturday. Ashton had Sean Newton in defence, he is 35 and played 77 games for Lincoln 10 years ago before returning to non league. He looked like he was in a different league to everyone else on the pitch. Non league may have some young gems but they are few and far between. -
I thought her latest statement was OK. It would not be wise for her to publicly name check David Flitcroft or anyone else in a negative fashion. NDA agreements work both ways.

He was obviously well enough to drive...

The Port Vale women's team are still in with a chance of promotion. They play exciting football and score quite a few goals. 4 games left I think. I am sure they would appreciate any support and it is only £4 in at Kidsgrove. Good beer and you can watch the match while you drink it too.

Kevin didn't look too bad when I said hello to him the other day.

What happened in those four days?

I don't get the love in for Ainsworth. Why would he want to come back anyway when nothing of his era is left apart from John Rudge and the ground.
-
Sang does put some lovely balls into the box for no-one to run on to, that isn't his fault though. I think he is good when played in the right position.

I don't think Carol listens to many people, after trying to talk to her at the Hamil move open meeting.
-
It must be because they miss him, in the same way that Walsall, Bristol Rovers and Vale missed Clarke...

It doesn't matter what happens from now on, you can't rewrite the past.

What difference does it make 😱😄 -
There have been a number of unfortunate circumstances which have combined to get us to this position. Unfortunately football isn't as simple to manage as some other businesses. I am looking forward to not having to go to Vale Park for a while.

Do you mean "on the pitch"?

Wycombe (H) match thread - 16th April
Rampant Zebra replied to ollyandpatch's topic in Port Vale present
I think we tried to be too clever. We took too much notice of statistical analysis of individual player performance. On paper it would be simple enough to pick the best performing player from each position in the league and put them together to make a promotion winning team. Even if that were possible in real life there is no guarantee that it would bring success. It is so sad that we have made such a mess of things but tried so hard and wasted so much money. -

Does anyone still believe we have a chance of avoiding relegation? What a mess... -

Who else does he play in defence though? Lopata is coming back from injury, Jones is still injured I guess. Our squad is woefully thin on options anywhere on the pitch really. -
I am going to have some time off before considering options for next season regardless of the league we are in.
-
Maybe we should pay some people to invade the pitch at their last home game to get them another points deduction.
