  1. The only plausible explanation is that we’ve actively been trying to get relegated since January 2023, as a tax write off. A bit like the plot of that Mel Brooks film about some producers. Its alright through because we almost signed a striker. Nearly. Coulda Woulda Shoulda. What was it that Sean Connery’s character said in The Rock? “ Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and do something rude to the prom queen.”
  2. Be nice if Flitcroft tried walking the walk now and again.
  3. Yeah. I think it was the season we were top in December then Adams left us. Him and his mate Stanton in the centre of defence were right sods. They got Rico sent off in the return match.
  4. Totally agree. Serial hatchet man for Watford, Bolton and Birmingham. The Watford team that night had Rob Page in their back four and another defender (Palmer, ex Ipswich) who if memory serves, punched Alan Lee off the ball.
  5. I’m not going in to bat for Andy Crosby but I will say that with a couple of decent centre forwards at his disposal he becomes a much better manager instantly.
  6. Keith Hill was a good manager for Rochdale many years ago. The Bristol Rovers v Scunthorpe match a couple of seasons ago destroyed any integrity he had left IMO.
  7. Paul Robinson would be a tone deaf appointment. As a player the bloke was a common or garden thug.
  8. I think it was a joke that he ruled himself out after watching us play on Tuesday.
  9. Adams became a figure of ridicule in Scotland over the last couple of months. I can’t see Flitcroft appointing him, even if they did both attend the same charm school.
  10. If he sold financial services, he’d be struck off.
  11. He’s done some good things and some bad things. The good things, as Roy Keane might say, “that’s his job”. The bad things have been catastrophic. Weigh that against his reported salary and decide whether we’re getting value for his footballing expertise. I’d argue not. The shambles since Monday afternoon was totally avoidable. Crosby was a manager under pressure for some time. Nothing should have taken us by surprise and yet, without a plan, we find a caretaker manager at the last minute, Bullseye style, after David Dunn didn’t fancy a go at the star prize. We pay DF good money to not end up like a banter club again and yet we’ve managed to out-Norm ourselves.
  12. Dean Holden Mark Bonner Mark Kennedy Neil Wood I’m not getting my hopes up for a big name but they might do a job in League Two.
  13. General sale at 6pm on Thursday evening . Ticket and Travel Information | Cheltenham Town | News | Port Vale WWW.PORT-VALE.CO.UK
  14. You do wonder if the people running the football club are motivated by the BAU of actually running a football club.
  15. We got played like an old fiddle. Charlton needed to look like they had another iron in the fire in order to get the Ladapo deal through. Nobody was ever seriously going to pay a quarter of a million pounds for Uche Ikpeazu. For all the backslapping and PR about how ace we are at recruitment, from the outside we’ve come across as incredibly naïve in the transfer market recently.
  16. How do they see us winning games of football?
  17. Arch window was my personal favourite.
  18. Exactly what people were saying a year ago. Jam tomorrow.
  19. Question is whether we shoe horn him in as a wing back or a striker
  20. Weren’t there stories of him having a poor attitude and turning up late for training at Aberdeen?
  21. Depends if it’s an injury or an injury.
  22. He never managed to play a game during his loan at Aberdeen either.
