I'm minded to renew but I've missed the final 3 home games due to work or holiday. It's difficult planning when you don't know what the fixtures are until June. Will have a think while I'm away.

Wycombe (H) match thread - 16th April

Tonight pre match my expectation level was - 0 points coming. Post match - 0 points Well done vale, you've matched my expectations tonight. Glad I didn't turn away 7 hrs pay to watch that. Now to consider and reflect on whether I renew my season ticket at last year's league 1 prices or not? That is the conundrum. -
My learning point for carol following this season is that... Zoom is not an appropriate method of conducting an interview for a major position in any business.

She's been gaslighted. We've all been witnesses to the gaslighting. Like a young girl that's smitten, the devastating consequences of the break up are unleashing on vale park now. I hope that carol and the family learn from this.

That keiran McGuire chap from price of football was on RS briefly after all the lardies moaning to say that in the close season vales squad value was £91,000 compared to the likes of derby with £12m. He said vales budget was bottom 6. Then I looked on X to see that the coates family have pumped another £12m into the community stadium team today. It's clear that we need serious resourcing if any sustained league 1 campaign was sought and as for "championship ready" it's £12 million today, how much have the porky neighbours chucked at there last few season s for them also to be very very close to the drop. It's frightening! -

Not able to go last Saturday, not able to go Tuesday both times due to work. I can't be chopping and losing work shifts to watch the dirge I've watched this season. That said I may renew my ST in the hope of better times watching Salford park the bus again next season. -

We set up 1st half to keep men behind the ball and it worked until the final kick, 2nd half I felt we started better but the penalty killed us. We looked better in spells but pushing forward exposed us and the massive gulf between the 2 teams in quality is evident. Need to remember though these were championship last season and have kept their squad together. I think give Moore the summer to root us out and set us up and whichever league were in we will compete but tonight was never going to be our night. -

Agreed, we are deviod of quality compared to these but we are now scrapping, chasing, and organising like a team should. -

Our ball retention needs to be much better tonight. -
I've also thought of having Peterborough to win tomorrow, I've never ever been paid out by the bookies but I'll happily lose a quid to see the points on vales tally.

No to being on sky for me! We never win!

If we can get a point at Peterborough that would be as good as 3 today.

I am watching Leeds Vs hull. Both sides are playing out from the back and playing back to the keeper, just like we have been doing. And it's a turgid hard watch. Maybe he who cannot now be mentioned wanted to bore fans and opposing teams into submission whilst looking faster and stronger because the opponents would be falling asleep. We need to play every match like we approached Bristol rovers.

The only ideal result in that match is a draw.
