We did have Chris Killen too who was decent. Can see us going 442 with that Wynee as left back. Can’t see us not playing him else why bother signing him…this is vale though.

These lads have let us down this season big time. If that’s cause they ain’t good enough or they haven’t wanted to play for certain people only they know but the last two games have given us a bit of hope and, for me, a bit of pride. What will be will be now and the end of the season is the time to analyse it thoroughly but if the lads are going to play like that for the remaining games then they deserve our full backing. Who knows they may just about get us over the line with that level of effort. UTV!!!!

What we need to do is defend like our lives depend on it. Do that and we give ourselves a chance in any game

If we are going that route again then we need a steady hand on the tiller. I would be more looking at someone like Neil warnock. Serial over achiever and someone with extensive contacts and knowledge. It will all boil down to cost.

Could burton be the turning point again… strange how football works but there is hoping and praying with everything crossed that we can somehow find something from somewhere for the last few games. At least yesterday gives us a glimmer of hope…but that’s what kills you as the saying goes.

Have to just go for this and every game remaining. Points on the board is all that matters now. Can we make some sort of fist of the last few games? Highly doubtful with this lot of shrinking violets.

Genuinely can’t believe anyone keeps anyone from this squad except garrity and Smith. Can’t wait see the back of the rest of them. Smith arguably only stays cause he has credit in the bank. He’s had an absolutely horrific season.

Th message to our owners needs to be simple. We all have a lot to thank them for and I do believe that they will put it right eventually but it’s simple…. “You have forgotten what’s important, the product on the pitch and the entertainment of its fans”

We certainly need to mate. This is literally the lat chance saloon…these are the guys we need to catch. Can’t give them any leg up at all.

Staying up would be a miracle. We need 2 wins just to go level on points with those above us. We can’t get one win even against those around us! To stay up we probably need 6-7 wins…not happening. We will finish 2nd bottom as Fleetwood will make a fight of it. Would love to get out of it but our lot can’t stomach the fight. Our “be nice” profile has bitten us on the arse.

I’m not one for this kind of thing usually but I’m that peed off at the minute that renewing my season ticket would feel like treason. The situation we are in for me NEVER happens when you are as well run as we are told we are. Let’s not forget we have been in this situation ever since flicroft came. Even the promotion season we ended up without strikers! For me we should put the money to one side and only renew when change is made. Someone needs to be held accountable for what we are currently being asked to suffer. Joke does not describe it.

My bet would still be Troy Deeney. Been around the block, bit of a prickly character on the pitch and puts himself about. Got 4 goals for Forrest green so better than any of our current lot and must be fairly fit. Let’s face it, it’s stick or twist time and there isn’t much in the pack. Deeney is exactly the type we need atm, a fighter. Moore has to ruffle a few feathers and hope he gets a response.

Like the letter and respect what is said. Big respect for Carol for communicating too, she doesn’t have too. There is one simple solution though and one statement that will mend some of the issues we currently face. Appoint a strong manager. Someone who will get an extra 20-30% out of players. But most importantly someone who will challenge DF. Do that and I think you win back some of the respect. Appoint what will be deemed another Crosby yes man and I really do fear for us. Just because we have a DOF shouldn’t mean that we appoint someone that won’t challenge all things football and be banging down DF’s door when things aren’t going right demanding better. Have to create that environment where everyone challenges everyone to be better which I don’t think we have currently in the club from first team right the way through. We hear it so often how nice we are. Well we don’t want to be nice and equally we don’t want to be horrible but we have ri be competitive and I think that lies somewhere between the two. We had it in abundance when we got promoted and coincidentally it only seemed to wain once Clarke began to become withdrawn while dealing with some truly horrific circumstances that no farther should ever have to deal with. We will never know but I’m not having that a fully focused Clarke would have allowed DF off so lightly as Crosby may have done. So come on vale grow some for a change and restore some pride!

Tbf means nowt. I hate watching vale at the minute but I still turn up 😂 . Genuinely though it’s nonsense l to say Lee Bell wouldn’t come cause he hates us. Football is all about who pays. If vale wanted Lee Bell and offered the right money he would come no 2 ways about it.

This was my thoughts. And would make sense to the end of the season. Name that hasn’t been mentioned is Steve Evans. Not a huge fan of him personally but you would have to be an idiot not to credit the job he’s done at most clubs he has been with. Would certainly take no prisoners. And the other name is Coleman at accy who may have burned his bridges after his silly comments the other season. But again be a fool to ignore the job he has done. Tbf he should have had it when mickey left is and we gave it gannon. Remember reading an article where he was basically saying come get me at that point. the big question is… Are we willing to go for someone that will potentially challenge DF if we are intent on keeping him or are we just going to appoint a yes man. I fear, if it’s the latter, then we may be in big trouble.

Either way we need to get this spot on. I feel we always under play the manager role and under sell ourselves with who we can/could attract
