I mentioned him about 5 or 6 weeks ago and got shot down on here by most people on here.

Now, I see that his name is being mentioned by quite a number of Vale fans in the past 48 hours.

I think subconsciously they are channelling you BJ - you planted the seed 💗💗💗

    Wouldn't be against MF myself👍👍

Thousands? In that case I can only put it down to the world we live in today, when a well meaning, albeit badly worded, letter causes such outrage.  I’ll have to admit that most fans I’ve spoken to in the flesh weren’t particularly arsed about the contents of the letter beyond the basics of it defending Flitcroft.  General opinion ranging from one of some sympathy towards her predicament to a feeling she’d had some kind of meltdown, poured her thoughts into a jumble of words and put them out there for all to see in a moment of weakness.  Who knows?👍🏻

Interesting how we all attach a different interpretation to the same words - appreciate and understand your view GR, but for me it will always come across as condescending and ill judged - you don't write a tome like she did in two minutes and hurriedly push it out onto the ole interweb - she really took her time with it - anyway its in the past now (just like the clown it was defending)👍👍👍👍

You’re right, but if that letter from Carol stings then you’ve gone soft.  I am looking forward to that breakfast.👍🏻

Yes GR I think you are right - I have gone soft - alongside a few thousand other vale fans 👍👍👍👍

There's another interpretation of that letter which is that Carol was setting the stage for his dismissal/resignation, giving him some face to walk away with, which ever it was. Countless times a football owner has heaped praise on an employee and then administered the chop.

Given the situation It's the right ending as DF didn't do a good job in the most important task/goal in his job description, ie recruitment and over a period of time, ca 4 windows. Vale need a change, probably in the whole DoF/manager/recruitment process and it needs to be got right.

DF has gone, hopefully Carol will remain at the helm, there is no need for an immediate apology from Carol as I'm sure the story will come out over time, she's much more astute and savvy than the fans give her credit for.

Excellent counter view there 6754 👍👍👍, For me however, the letter coupled with her Delia Smith moment released to Social Media (wrongly in my view, but this is the world we now live in) don't add up to much "foresight" in my opinion.

I think there has been a lot of flying by the seat of their pants, and unfortunately for DF it seems he has lost his

Apologies? Why not just let it go?  It was simply misguide from someone under a lot of pressure, no worse than that in my view.

Some things sting worse than others - for me it was not needed and a mere few weeks later he has departed, hardly covered in glory. - enjoy tomorrows breakfast GR 😍

Did anyone listen to the hastily arranged Grumble and Grumble last night at all ?

I decided to watch the darts but was quite tempted to put RS on.

Went to turn on my radio to listen, but our littlen had pulled the plug out the wall, and I couldnt be arsed to plug it back in - tuned into the muffled bot show known as the supporters club meeting stream instead - Id tell you what was said but genuinely couldn't hear one word that was said 🙈🙈🙈🙈

  11. Was impressed with his interview yesterday when he said what's the point of signing players who wont improve us - sounds like a man already looking towards next season.

I fancy DM has far more backbone than is shown in his media outings - perhaps he didn't take any of DFs <ovf censored> 👍👍👍👍👍👍

  12. I wonder how much Carol has bent DMs ear about "the departure"

Like most, I think this is a real turning point for the club. We have a manager with a successful pedigree, who will have many contacts in the game re players etc.

relegation is a certainty, but lets face it, we have hardly seen a good game of football since we were in league 2 - id much rather be close to the top of a division (whichever division that may be) than languishing at rock bottom of a division. Just ask Leek, Congleton and Crewe fans if they are happy 😍

Could also ask Stoke fans as well 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍

  13. Really wish I was going now

"Hoppers, do you want another pint of Abbots, and what's the vale score"

"Yes please Smithie, and who cares" 😍😍😍😍😍😍

To all the beautiful bouncing valiants travelling tomorrow - enjoy the day, bring 3 points back with you, and I'm with you in spirit (well, quite a few hopefully 🥃🥃🥃)

2 1 Vale - Lofty and Massey for me too 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Not a name known to many OVF posters I suspect.

But whilst being Head of Academy Coach & Player Development at the Vale Josh also has a second job as Manager of Leek Town FC and 'his' team are the antithesis of PVFC first team results wise.

Whilst we are busy getting ourselves relegated Leek Town have, since a 5-0 drubbing that saw Josh take over as Manager, won 15 drawn 2 lost 0 in the league.

This fantastic run now sees Leek Town comfortably top of the league and if results go their way on Saturday will see them win the league and take the one automatic promotion spot to Step 3 of the non league pyramid.

Just three more promotions to league 2 may seem a task beyond them, but, on average gates of around 500-600 , I hope you will agree it's an amazing success story.

So, congratulations to you Josh and Leek Town FC.

Look forward to you taking on the likes of Macclesfield and FC United of Manchester next season if i am not mistaken.

Its exceptional isn't it - well done to all over there👏👏👏👏👏  - I'm seriously considering watching them next season; the never ending PVFC circus of life has finally, I fear, worn me down
