  1. I said after one of the games last month, we should be playing the kids as they won't do any worse and we are already down. For me, they are miles away from being football league ready and I include league 2 ready next year. The likes of Shorrock, Dippepa, Lomax need to be going out on loan to the National League North early next season and then hopefully come back ready. The only one I could see that might be ready is Walters but maybe he doesn't want to be here anyway.
  2. I'm one of those crazy fans that will be there on Tuesday, must be mad for going. I can't see anything other than a defeat by 2 goals but for what it is worth my team, no idea who is fit and able to play but would be; Ripley Debrah Kasper Yak Clarke Mighten Garrity Walters Plant Chislett Wilson I would give young Reece another chance, he might not be ready but he for me is still the one out of the younger players who has shown the most.
  3. Disagree, under previous regimes this was the right way to go about it as the money was being pocketed by the likes of Smurthwaite. We now have owners who are not the issue, I will have the occasional moan about them but we all know what the problem is. He has to be removed from this club and continued protests about him is the only way for him to go. I dont feel starving the club of finances is the way forward.
  4. Jean, no doubting you and everyone else who attended that meeting are all massive genuine supporters but surely you must agree that there has to be a public forum open to everyone and for this to be arranged before the end of the month.
  5. It's the modern game Jean, it is compulsory for all 92 league clubs to do this, think it is in every coaching manual now. As someone who watches a lot of football in the Premier League, everyone is the same. I have said for years, leave 3 on the half-way line, they have to leave 4 back. Ripley will now command his area but at times, too many players back and too many to go through.
  6. Feel like repeating myself week in week out but nothing ever changes. People keep saying each game a massive 6 pointer, when are these folk going to learn that we are down and have been for weeks. Still walking up Hamil Road after the game, I had to laugh when I heard two old gentlemen say if we can win 2 on the bounce we are back in it. We will not win another game this season, I said after Fleetwood away, we might get a record low points tally for a season 36 and I maintain that. Smith cost us yet again, 2 home games running now, Devine was right all along about Smith. Chislett massively overrated but the decision to bench him and again Mighten in favour of Massey in baffling. Shrewsbury are a very poor side but did the basics better than us, our relegation won't be on Moore but my god the football is dire so far under him, did not expect Brazil football but this has so far been very worrying.
  7. 2 nil Shrewsbury, no shots on target again, no strikers no hope.
  8. Said a few weeks back I think we might get our lowest ever points tally and I still maintain that, 36 is the lowest with 3 points for a win in 1999/2000.
  9. Playing these bunch of gutless, pathetic, spineless players that we have will pretty much guarantee relegation to the National League as well, other than Ripley and Garrity.
  10. Another awful depressing day other than a couple of great pubs found about half an hour away from the ground, just wished we had stayed in there. Just glad the season is soon coming to an end as we are getting worse with every passing week, keep saying the same things but we have no fight at all and players out there going through the motions. I don't like calling players out but Ojo is massively overrated by so many people, he offers nothing at all and was pulling out of challenges. I was not going to go to all the games left but fear it will be a long time before we get to go the likes of Derby, Wigan and Bolton again, we are going to be scrapping for survival in league 2 with this bunch of players. I moaned about Crosby and thought things could not be worse but it is no better at all. I did not expect miracles but expected fight, we have nothing at all.
  11. I've seen some bizarre posts but Fleetwood on a par with Middlesbrough is right up there. The reason for the booing and quite rightly was that we were gutless and pathetic in that second half. If you decide to sit back and invite pressure and allow the opposition to have all of the ball and show no ambition to get it back and when you do to try and play the ball forward, you are asking for trouble. Fleetwood will be going down with us, they will get a couple of wins and finish above us but we can have a nice trip to them next season I have no doubt about that.
  12. Most of the time I would leave a game like that deflated and angry but as I have said numerous times, already resigned myself to league 2 football next season. We have a truly awful side, no character, no fight, bunch of players who are not likeable apart from Ripley and Garrity. That second half performance was one of the worst I can ever remember, I slated Crosby after the Stevenage cup replay but this was way worse than that. I have no idea what the team talk was but my word, we were battered. I said with 10 minutes to go, even at 2 nil we would lose by 6 playing like that at Derby. We literally had 1 attack in the whole half, it was embarassing. Moore was my choice to be manager and it won't be on him if we go down but these 4 games have been shocking and I did not expect free flowing football but if that is what we need to get used to, negative changes, being battered by a bottom 2 team at home, it will be a tough watch. We have gone from a manager who wants 70% possession to a manager who seems happy to have hardly any of the ball.
  13. You can add the likes of Peterborough, Bolton, Oxford into games we won't get anything from, that would leave 9 games left to get 6 wins, not a chance.
  14. A league 2 defender, football ability wise would be National North, will always give his all but out of depth at this level.
  15. Tempted to play the kids for the rest of the season, already down, budget will be cut for next season, be lucky sell 3500 season tickets, the gate on Tuesday will be what we need to get used to. The season can't end soon enough, even the dreadful season under Bruno and Brown, we had more fight about us than this lot.
  16. I said a few weeks ago Cheltenham will get out of it and Charlton whilst on a shocking winless run are showing fight the last few games with draws against Bolton and Portsmouth will have too much quality as well. For me the bottom 3 are gone, we are 7 points off 19th place now, 3 wins off catching them up. I think it will be one from Burton, Shrewsbury and Cambridge.
  17. Yet another gutless display, not a surprise as these players other than Garrity, Sang and Ripley can do one, no fight at all. I kept hearing in the build-up, if we get 4 points from these 2 games, we are down and I accepted it the day deadline closed. People can forget any winnable games we have, we are not going to win them. We are going down with a wimper and will be playing the likes of Crawley, Colchester and Grimsby again. Bring a friend for free and we get 6300 home fans, yes we are dreadful and going down but Oldham at home in the National League managed get 12000 against Kidderminster.
  18. Would not call anyone thick on here for wanting a change, I hope she has learnt from some of the mistakes she has made and things get better. I would vote no for change but if we are relegated which I think will happen and were struggling in league 2 with Flitcroft still overseeing things, I would be worried how supporters will feel towards her.
  19. Our lowest points in a season with 3 points is 36, I think that is in danger, I can't see a win, maybe 6 draws to avoid that.
  20. Good job we had a good spell of 6/7 games in August/September or be far worse.
  21. The worst thing for me is could not be bothered to watch on I-Follow or listen on radio and when I saw that we were 2 nil down did not feel anything, I should be feeling anger, hate losing but all the fight for the club has gone from me at this moment in time. I resigned myself to going down the moment the transfer window shut, that was when I knew we had given up. The worry for me is this squad is going to be fighting in league 2 for survival, from this bunch of wasters, I would only keep Ripley, Debrah, Plant, Chislett Ojo and Garrity, beyond that I am struggling and there is no way Chissy or Garrity are staying.
  22. Won 2 tickets for this game that was going to give mates, typical I win something that they can attend for nothing anyway.
  23. If it is 4 at the back tonight and we lose and play rubbish, can we not have people saying we have to play 3 or 5 at the back as we have been awful for over 12 months with the same formation. Lets try and give 4 at the back a go, the formation was a concern when Clarke was in charge and him never changing and been carried on ever since.
  24. We got different opinions on this one and respect yours but for me the job of the referee is so difficult, feel we will just be adding to it unnecessary. I feel players will just waste time that never gets added on, last year the average time the ball was in play was 54 minutes but the average game time was 97 minutes. On a last note with fans moaning about the refs, were just as bad and only see it one way, watching Sheffield United v Brighton, the ref is getting so much abuse from the home fans when a player gets sent off for a challenge that is a leg breaker and truly shocking. Brighton score a second when home fans up in arms about a corner when it was clearly a corner, I'm on my own I think but fans only see it one way.
  25. It's not just results that will stop people going, it's the performance levels as well, a lack of fight and hunger there. I was debating whether go the Reading game on Tuesday but the performance level made it easy, not wasting half a day off work to watch a team showing no desire and no fight apart from a 5 minute spell at the end of the game. I would never miss a game but missed Exeter, Carlisle and now Tuesday and speaking to a few on the coach, so many regular people who would never miss a game have had enough.
