    Happy relegation day.

You poor fuckers who are going and wasting your money on the worst Vale team in generations, should be wearing black suits.

First away game of the season we got done 7. Last away game of the season might just beat it.

Id like to thank Andy Crosby for his dull tippy tappy, nicey nice crap football.
A big shout out to Carol Shanahan who puts all her energy into Port Vale Community Centre.
And let’s not forget the scumbag that is David Flitcroft. Who managed to assemble the worst, most pathetic, most effortless squad in Port Vales history, over the course of three glorious transfer windows, and got away with it.

Go out there lads and show your worth. And may most of you be <ovf censored> off out of this club next season you absolute bunch of bottle job no hopers.

Come on now Spunkers! Tell us what you really think!

A word of advice to stay away from social media when relegation is confirmed. We’ll rightly get pelters and it’s wholly unedifying to engage.

We are all grown men/women and please act like that when we’re relegated. Try not to make a holy show of yourself.

Agree but no bragging rights in Stoke on Trent this season, that's for sure!

  3. Dear Darren,

Please can we sign players to fill those positions that we are weak in?  Also, please can we play our players in their favoured or strongest position?

It appears that lots of other teams do this and to me seems a great idea, although David didn't seem to think that it was important.

    What do you think?

I look forward to your summer shufflings, as well as our team winning a few games in League 2.

    Yours sincerely,

    Diego

  4. Even though I reckon a good few of our players will be able to hold their own next season, some (Garrity, Chissy, Ripley) even top end of League 2. However, I do think that we need to break up parts of the squad in order to break up the lack of mental strength.

No blood, new quality and a new belief.

    This is a great idea.

However, we have numerous fans forums where these concerns were made.

Did Carol not listen to them back if she wasn't in attendance?

Thought that but, for me, it should be a smaller event with no BS. Just her and A. N. Other and just a handful of regular fans.

Think it would possibly go 'some' way to help to heal the relationship between club and supports as well, as long as 'some details' from the discussions are published.

  6. If I was Carol, next season, I would meet with a small number of fans (stakeholders of the club) once a month or whatever to gage fans' opinion, concerns etc. behind closed doors.

In all seriousness, although people on here might disagree with one another, it's clear to me that people on here see the issues (e.g. Flitcroft, lack of striker etc.) so early on that Carol could do with hearing these thoughts and opinions as early as possible. It would be then up to her but at least it would improve communication between club and fans.

As IMO she has been hearing a load a boswollocks from Flitcroft who was found out but it took too many transfer windows.

Sang & Grant haven’t been played in midfield once so that list prob goes down to 4. For league 2 that would be more than capable in my eyes

But what do we reckon if we did play them all as midfielders? For me, depth would be pretty decent for League 2.

I'd also guess at least one of Garrity and Chislett will be sold as 10+ goals in a poor side from midfield won't be sniffed at by some.

Agree. Certainly going to be a challenge keeping hold of these 2. And, even though Ojo has done my head in a bit recently, when his head's on, he's decent.

I reckon Ojo, Garrity and Chissy is a decent midfield 3 in league 2. For me, better than what we went up with.

Just the small matter of the defence and attack.

Hoping Auntie Carol is going splash some cash, as well as clearing out some sh1t3.

I always had the impression that he didn't really want to come here in the first place, that it was something Man U wanted rather than it being his choice.  Played just over half a match, got injured (?) , looked out of his depth as Santa said, and probably didn't fancy a physical relegation battle when (if) he regained his fitness. Certainly not what we needed to replace Arblaster/Devine.

Splitting hairs but sure he went off in the first half after having a complete 'mare'. Never to be seen again. Waste of time, money and effort!

Even tho a pie is one of our national dishes, what we accept for pies emoji3050.png is generally pretty dismal emoji106.png

Definitely need to sort out 'Piegate' and 'The Great Pie Debacle of 2023-24'.

Two decades of under investment? I’d say it’s closer to five but you’re spot on about VP being a money pit.

In an ideal world we should move to a new build stadium with a 12k capacity similar to Rotherham. If our our useless City council got involved, it could also become a proper ‘community stadium’.

Or do what the Milan clubs do?🪖🤪🤪🤪

@Dipepa delight stop quoting your own damn posts ffs unless you've got something to add, it's annoying.

I'm really at a loss with this result right now. Trying to figure out what is the way forward because I'd be rollicking the players for that second half.

I just fear we'll hear lots of crap like 'if we play like we did first half, we will stay up'

I reckon, if we play like that, we'll stay up. Just kidding!

Seriously, I need someone to explain that game. How the swing from us being decent to so poor and vice versa. However, the swing in quality the second half was bigger than the first. I.e. they were better in the second half than we were in the first and we were worse second half than they were first.

Second half, Sang looked like he'd never played football before.

To be honest I hate that defeatist phrase

We ain't good enough I've read, heard it, and seen it for years, yet I've also seen Vale teams of yesteryear who were clearly at times not good enough have more of a go than what we did Wed .

As one if those who attended I was shocked by how much of a attitude, desire application ,quality ,gulf there was between the teams yet did that years ago when say Arsenal the unbeatables come to Vale Park clearly they had better players but had to take Allen Tankard and one other missing penalties to beat uswe went about them to get a 0-0 and 1-1 draws.

It was all so utterly pitiful Wednesday

If you accepting of that FINE I aint.

SHOW ME A VALE I can be proud of

Can feel your frustration but for me that's the reality. We aren't good enough. Not against a potential Championship side. Make all the comparisons you want but we're are not good enough. That's why we are fourth from bottom.

Moore could have set us up to 'have a go' and attack. I reckon he didn't do that because he thought that we would get even more of a battering. So he set us up to be well organised and as tight as duck derriere. Not pretty. Not attacking. But trying to strangle the life out of the game to stop them scoring. If it had worked, we all would be saying he's a tactical genius.

A comparison would be how Italy used to play in World Cups 1982 (although they did counter attack) or how set up defensively in the Euro 2000 tournament and got to the final.

Don't expect him be a miracle worker but what did he do to stop that out ball what kept on putting Lowe/plant in trouble .

It's gone now it wasn't very good and if tactical mistakes are made last 4 the same results will be the outcomes .

You get up the pitch you engage in areas where you make teams uncomfortable not let them pass it with all the time in world .

You don't have to be a football manager /expert to work that out

We aren't good enough. Not against Peterborough. Simple.

    He didn't many options tactically.

Pack the park. Haha. Come on mate. There won't be 6,000 there such is the absolute shower on show. All the cheering, clapping and shouting in the world won't turn this bunch into decent footballers anyway.

Moore will no doubt manage to select a starting 11 absolutely nobody else would pick.

We're down and have been for many weeks. Accept it and look forward to (hopefully) a rebuild.

Do think that us, Burton and Cheltenham are pretty much on par: p155 poor.

So, we do have a chance.
