  1. Somebody was shouting at the players going through their drills at half time and it stopped the work outs, Lacovetti came over and remonstrated with him, I don't know if an individual was targeted if it was it's disgraceful, I think there is enough evidence around mental health in 2024 to realise fans should think about how their words and actions can affect people.
  2. I'm sorry and I'll more than likely get hammered for this but I'm sorry Carol we don't have a good squad, we have an unbalanced squad that was unbalanced in August and nothing whatsoever has been done to rectify the situation, every one and his dog knew we needed wingbacks and strikers. And finally (Deep Breath) The signing of Blaster and Devine only helped Spurs and Sheffield Utd, it didn't help us one bit other than to put them in the shop window and give them games they wouldn't have had, we lost games with them in the side and when they went back it ripped up our midfield and left us with fixture congestion because they were away on international duty. Finally, Flikers as he is affectionally referred to has failed miserably, I just can't believe how unbalanced we are and I would hope serious questions are asked at the end of the season.
  3. I never understood the love in with Reading, if the first game had been completed we would have had a free week this week to allow DM to get his views across.
  4. It isn't as though Devine and Blaster got us in the top 6 we were losing games with them here, and when they went on international duty it gave us fixture congestion so I would argue would we have been better off not having them in the first place ? yes it was good to see Blaster on full throttle but in real terms where has it got us ? Just giving other clubs players game time ?
  5. I'm afraid that football is a results business, that's the nature of the beast, so by that reckoning DF has to be responsible, the DoF's position must be at risk if/when we get relegated, allowing the striker situation to get in to the state it is should be enough for a resignation.
  6. The problem is the games are coming thick and fast with no time to work on anything between games, plus the fact we are weak in defence (Understatement) and certainly weak and understaffed in attack. Nothing to do with DM, the damage has been done.
  7. Did he explain the Summer window and the previous January window ? Or were they just coincidences. Thought not.
  8. I cant see us escaping this mess we have got ourselves in, the warning signs were there back in September we scraped through the early season and that papered over the cracks, measures should have been taken in December to give a new manager a fighting chance. The current squad doesn't have the mettle required for a scrap, Moore needs to instil grit and desire into this squad and I'm afraid we are seriously lacking in that department, it's all very well being known as a lovely friendly club, trouble is the opposition take advantage. We were promised at the start of the season that we would be stronger fitter and physically stronger and fitter than the previous season after we got out of trouble by the skin of our teeth, I would argue we are a softer touch in fact far softer. Some players are taking advantage of the touchy feely club the Vale have become, it's all very nice, everything's nice, everything's nice and comfy, they should be busting a gut to save the Vale from relegation and repay the club for standing by them, I don't see it, sorry but it's blood and guts time and it's not there. Next soundbite.........Planning for next season.
  9. Looks more like the new pitches on Roe lane to me, could be wrong.
  10. You talk about investment as though it's easy to find a couple of million down the back of the settee. The Shannahans have invested large sums of money into the club not including the price they paid Smurthwaite for a decrepit ground and infrastructure. Kieran Maguire the football financial analyst recently reported that Leyton Orient are losing 75k a month and are £21m in debt , Crawley lost £4m in 22/23 total losses are £11.6m. There are numerous clubs in a similar situation, I trust Carol & Co are running the financials sensibly, because I for one don't want the club to go down well trodden paths of the past. If you want more investment in the club how about we double the price of a match day tickets and double the price of season tickets? that should do it.
  11. How did Piergianni stay on after his assault on Chislett ?
  12. Cautious Darren needs to have big rethink - The League Paper WWW.THELEAGUEPAPER.COM Interesting article in The League Paper
  13. The problem with a new Manager/Coach regardless of their previous success or experience the appointment relies on luck, history is littered with managers who you would have thought would guarantee success and for one reason or another they failed. .
  14. I agree, she has been let down.....badly, she did the right thing getting professional advice what she inadvertently did was pick the wrong bloke. After Wembley we just needed 3/4 new upgrades and move on, to me it seems as though he couldn't wait to chuck the jigsaw up in the air and stamp his authority on the club.
  15. Gannon took training in the morning , hooked after lunch. What I find very strange is the timing of Crosby's dismissal,
  16. I wonder if we had a back up, we should've done considering the recruitment team work 2-3 windows in advance, considering Uche was on his way to Charlton surely we had more irons in the fire.
  17. I need more than a Plumb Porter ! I can't believe that's the 3rd transfer window we have had and FAILED to address the striker situation.
  18. Throwing Dipepa in could smash his confidence.
  19. It's ever likely we haven't signed a forward..........They've all gone....Sold out.
  20. I've lost count how many Fleetwood have brought in.
  21. The January transfer window is a farce..........Just my opinion.
  22. I don't understand why Arblaster and Devine were signed one or the other for me, the recruitment team need to answer a few questions, I thought the lesson had been learned last season Re. the Keepers (Two average ones or one good one) same mistake with the strikers this time round except we never got round to signing anyone and now looking back they all seem to be panic buys and I guess none of them have come cheap.
  23. Plant made at least 3 runs to get behind the Burton defence on Saturday but nobody picked up on it.
  24. It's funny how certain managers are certain fits for clubs, every time he manages Luton he has success, move away and it's down the tubes.
