As I’ve previously stated she needs to start interacting with the fans and I don’t mean paying them a lip service. It’s the fans who own the club all but in name. If she feels to do this is below her, then careful consideration should be given by regarding her position and selling the club. For me Carol has to be proactive in the summer transfer window and the team not to start entertaining the fans in the pitch. If there are no signs of either of these things by Christmas, then she definitely has to sell the club. Personally I don’t believe that the lady is for turning. So I’d like her to prove me and others of the same opinion, who are members of the Port Vale family, wrong.

Rob, thanks for the correspondence and for organising the event. I feel your disappointment with the club but how they now operate I can’t say that I’m surprised. I am able to attend the event, but at this time I don’t feel that I could attend such an event with any sort of enthusiasm. Im sure that it would mean more to others, so if you could leave me out, I’d appreciate it. I look forward to doing the same next season. Regards Playa

Vtid, whilst I agree with you, we’re not a club that raids other clubs for decent fit players. It’s not part of our business model, that would mean investment. We’re a L2 selling club that soon won’t have any saleable assets.

I just get the feeling that they’re probably all on roughly the same. £2.5k-£3k a week. If so not really a wage structure.

Portsmouth players and fans this week celebrated their promotion at a local pub and apparently trashed the place. Just wondering if we could hold a similar event for our relegation. We could hold the event in The Duke it would be classed as a refurbishment.

Organisations don’t do this for nothing they’re handsomely rewarded financially by the government and local councils. Supermarkets off load goods because they’re going out of date and it means that they then don’t have to pay the cost of disposing of the food. I’m not sure if they also have an obligation to do this for tax reasons. I have no problem with the supermarkets doing this, as my biggest frustration is seeing food going to waste. I don’t believe that anyone should have to go hungry, but we’re all responsible for our ourselves. As a football club we are a rudderless ship, with no one at the helm, to guide us.

We’re a football club, first and foremost and should be looking at putting points on the table.
