Just a question wife wants come along tomoz if ON ,I'm.a season ticket holder does that automatically knock the 4 pounds off or do you have to have membership too .

Last season had membership and season ticket as paying for lads but this year got his own well i paid for it so not entirely true however haven't got a membership this season as haven't needed one etc.

I think I’m right in saying your season ticket won’t get her any discount, at least I’ve not noticed any when buying tickets for folk this season.

And someone on here said he almost put it over the bar just so they could say something negative about it 🤣 it’s a good finish with a defender sliding in.

“Just so they could say something negative about it”?  Far from the truth.  From our angle, in that instant when he hit the ball it was rising pretty sharply.  Quite simply the guy doesn’t have a lot of form for hitting the target.  It was a good strike no question.

Right behind it. No chance was he missing. Helped that he didn't have time to think. Unlike the first half miss.

We weren’t in line with the shot, we were the other side of the goal with Loft in front of us. As he smashed it and it rose we were expecting to keep going.   Like you say, he had little time to think.  Chizz was a little unlucky to score from Lofts pass.  I’d have Chislett start before Wilson personally.

Interesting how we all attach a different interpretation to the same words - appreciate and understand your view GR, but for me it will always come across as condescending and ill judged - you don't write a tome like she did in two minutes and hurriedly push it out onto the ole interweb - she really took her time with it - anyway its in the past now (just like the clown it was defending)👍👍👍👍

It can hardly be described as a tome Hops.  An outpouring of emotion.  As you say, best to let it go.👍🏻

Yes GR I think you are right - I have gone soft - alongside a few thousand other vale fans 👍👍👍👍

Thousands? In that case I can only put it down to the world we live in today, when a well meaning, albeit badly worded, letter causes such outrage.  I’ll have to admit that most fans I’ve spoken to in the flesh weren’t particularly arsed about the contents of the letter beyond the basics of it defending Flitcroft.  General opinion ranging from one of some sympathy towards her predicament to a feeling she’d had some kind of meltdown, poured her thoughts into a jumble of words and put them out there for all to see in a moment of weakness.  Who knows?👍🏻

Ray, whilst I agree with you, somewhat. I was told by a person who works at VP,that she was advised by everyone at the club not to make the statement because of the back lash but she made the decision to do it, going against others advice.

I took it as a plea from the heart for fans to back her judgement, from someone feeling the pressure and no doubt overcome to a certain degree by emotion.  Probably one of those things that someone says in the heat of the moment and then in the cold light of day regretted.  Agree or disagree with the content, it really wasn’t as big a deal as many folk are making out.

Some things sting worse than others - for me it was not needed and a mere few weeks later he has departed, hardly covered in glory. - enjoy tomorrows breakfast GR 😍

You’re right, but if that letter from Carol stings then you’ve gone soft.  I am looking forward to that breakfast.👍🏻

I genuinely hope that she apologises for that.  It was utterly ludicrous to publish.

Apologies? Why not just let it go?  It was simply misguide from someone under a lot of pressure, no worse than that in my view.

I must be honest the time to panic was January. Looking at where we are now it would probably be throwing good money after bad. It's becoming low pressure football and Moore really needs to use the rest of the season to experiment for next: particularly if/when we lose on Saturday. An opportunity to give some experience to one or two of the younger players and see what combinations of contracted players can work in different systems.

Spot on.  It’d be all too easy for Moore to jump in and sign a trialist free agent but what’s the point if they won’t make a difference?

You could tell in the interview he did a few weeks back that he'd had to be persuaded to continue. He's clearly thought enough is enough & made the decision for her. You can't go from releasing that open letter like she did, to sacking the bloke in the space of a few weeks. He wanted out based on the fanbase hating his guts. He's called time & Carol's had to accept it. We'll never know the truth, but that would be my view on proceedings.

Who knows.  It seems really strange to go from part time to full time to jacking it in in such a short .  More likely Carol tried to quell the unrest with her letter and rant but results ultimately dictated.  Ultimately Carol is obviously a very loyal employer, illustrated by her sticking by managers, and the DoF in this instance, past what could be seen as their “sell by date”.  Sadly the individuals concerned haven’t managed to repay that loyalty by turning results around.  It’s cost us a place in league 1 in all likelihood.  It’s not life or death though.

I'm not entirely sure she has. I reckon he's been wanting to call it a day for about a month now but she's backed him & asked him to stay on & see it through. He's finally made the decision for her & they've agreed to call it "mutual". Either way he's gone. Let's see what happens next.

Not sure about that, he only recently went from reportedly being part time to full time.

If Robbie Williams was seriously  interested in being the owner of Vale he would have likely become the owner in the relatively  recent past.

IMHO Anyone would be crazy to want to own a football club, if events don't go as well as some fans perceive then the "Mob" comes out in force, dissing not only the owner but members of their family.

Football clubs are not always on an upward trajectory in a straight line, there are hiccups on the way, set backs, sometimes a step backwards to go forwards.

IMHO Continuity under the current ownership is the way forward for PVFC.

True.  I think if you’re having a 2 season hiccup then something major has to change.  The step backwards as you put it should’ve been the sacking of Clarke.  A new manager should then come in and take us forward, not necessarily massively but a higher placed finish in the league in this second season would’ve given us a good foundation to build from.  Sadly we’ve regressed.

  13. Thanks to David Flitcroft for his part in steering us to promotion and building the structure of the club from where it was.  Beyond that we don’t as yet know if he walked or was pushed.  If he walked fair play to the guy for taking that decision, if not, Carol deserves our thanks for making what would’ve been a tough choice.

I’d certainly stick with the DoF model but the manager should always pick which players are to be recruited, the DoF can look after everything else outside of the first team.

Whilst the quality of the Kane statue looks pretty awful the cost of £7200 surprised me when compared to the £100000 cost of the Rudge statue.

I believe the cost of the Rudge statue includes the ground work etc to put it into place but the price difference is huge.

I’m not surprised by the low cost of the Kane statue, it looks like someone asked a group of year 11’s to “make something out of chocolate”.

Keep an open mind even though we're sinking into oblivion and the owners seem to have lost interest, you know what I'll buy a season ticket , you've convinced me

Good to hear Nip, everyone will feel much so better knowing they have your positivity on board.

Shouldn’t take much pondering, should it?

  18. Good luck to Baylee.   Hopefully he’ll get a good run out be able to make his mark.

I think the fact he’s only 17 is lost on some of our fans, although fair to say the fact that he’s been promoted so soon is as much testament to our dire transfer dealings as it is his own undoubted talent.
