Shows the state the club is in when a lot of fans seem over the moon with a point in a game where we wouldn't had scored had we still been playing this time tomorrow.
If you can't score you don't win games of football. If people think the odd point here and there is enough then they need a reality check.
No one is over the moon, they are saying it’s an improvement . Which away from home it is, as we have lost pretty much everyone I can remember for a while.

Try run a football club without any season ticket money.
People will always buy season tickets regardless, me included, look at Oldham / chesterfield

They are business people fgs. First and foremost.
Yes they are are local business owners. But how far back does the affinity to Vale go?
I always thought the Shanahans were lifelong fans whom just happened to have a busness here
That illusion is now shattered. Yes I would be more trusting of a life long fan (Bill Bell and Bratty) for having the desire to take the Vale forward
At the moment Vale are going back...and no real excuses given Vale are one of the biggest in the division from a fanbase and ground size plus financial veiw. The DOF is failing the club where it matters most...on the pitch. Like it or not, I and others are fast becoming very suspicious
Clearly not the biggest or close to biggest club in league 1

another one that is missing the point.
It's not been or never been about Carol. It's been about one man, the Director of Football. A point totally missed also by Carol herself in todays "open" letter in which she's now caused total chaos & uproar when their was no need too.
Missing the point
You are missing carols point/s
She’s standing by the bloke who other than an awful last transfer window has delivered on every single objective set.
you can keep shouting but you are effectively turning on the owners clearly.

"BEING the “custodian of a community asset” rather than owner is how Carol Shanahan, below, prefers to be known at Port Vale."
The Sentinel, 16th October 2023.
Force her to step aside then, see what we end up with. Regardless of who the manger is or DOF , this season will 90 % end up in relegation.
that causes me a lot of pain , however I’d rather have the same owners who got us out of that league before and to still see the progress of the club .
who do you think will buy this football club if she goes ?

Good god I’m so glad I’ve not seen that
Twitter mainly I use, it’s hard to read some of the absolute nonsense.
Feel like sending an open letter back to Carol reassuring her that as much as this last 3 months has been rubbish , she has also been the best owner we have had.
the silent majority will certainly agree

Not sure what I’m more fed up with , the team , the miss management or the fanbase at the minute
it’s far from close to good right now , but it’s a hell of a lot better than when we were bottom four of league 2
feels like the noisy minority of vale fans are generally pretty unhappy people in life. Having a football club to slate just eases some of their demons maybe.
vale fans posting videos of our own players making mistakes and mocking them on a public forum . Creating posters including the owners In a mocking fashion.
im surprised Carol hasn’t just thrown the towel in.
I’m angey with the team , results , poor management, but embarrassed by the over top reaction or some vale fans , who are looking for deflection from their own personal issues and In some case ‘clout’ from a social media audience.

I believe the club have been disappointed with the quality of DJs in the UK and are busy scouting the Scandinavian, American and New Zealand markets for a possible replacement...
inflation has even hit the DJ market ! When will this madness stop ! 😂

On Saturday the DJ was having a one-man rave with very loud Drum N Bass music. The music he plays and general vibe seems at odds with the fan zone.
It's possibly because I'm of a certain age but I've never understood why it's so loud when people are trying to enjoy a pint and a chat.
maybe a New Dj in on loan, if no striker ?

Was waiting for someone to raise this , could at least mix it up and have a bit of everything. Puts me off going tbh and it isn’t really encouraging families.
play some vale songs/football songs. Something to maybe sing along to !

If I didn’t know better, I’d say she owns Vale for the social aspects and as a supper club rather than any burning desire to see a successful football team. It seems like one big community social club…for her.
I could think of cheaper ways of planning a few socials than pumping 10 million into a division 3/4 football club.
less stressful ways as well,
pretty lazy comment when you look at the ownership that proceeded

It's the 27th of January and, unless there is significant transfers into the club over-the-next week, this transfer window will go down as the worst ever and see us relegated by mid-March! 🙈
😂 what absolute nonsense, have you supported this club for 3 years

Are the other 10 sides in pretty much the same position/ number of points / saying the same thing … are they all in ‘free fall ‘ as well ..

Am i reading this right?
people think when a player leaves because another team has brought them they think the original club still has to pay their wages?
that is complete an utter crap if uche left vale wouldn't have to pay a penny more to him. He in affect is terminating his contract with us to sign a new contract with a new club.

Wind your neck in a little bit.
Its a simple question, why have 2 x players that we have signed, recently failed medicals other club's, how have they passed ours?
If we are not allowed to ask any questions then no point in having a fourm, don't you think?
Or in your eyes is a forum just for throwing out niceties all night.
Your views are different to mine, so, that makes you negative
I’m debating your point, and your outlook towards the club is clearly 90% negative , mine is more positive , especially because of the hard work that has gone on over the last 3 years.
rightly I will defend the clubs position when it seems lazy mud throwing when the opportunity arises
the issue around medicals is a rumour, but ask the question and see what they say
so no I won’t ’wind my neck in’ and listen to you run the club down

Barnsley. To be fair we did a lot of physio work with him prior to his signing, mainly so he could pass our medical.
So he didn’t pass our test after failing . He went away, got fit, then passed
the all things negative brigade are trying to suggest we have a less strict test of some sort, which is the reason for our injury list .

He failed it at a number of clubs, one was Barnsley but there was more than one. DF even said we put the work in with him so he could pass the medical with us. You would expect so but i find it odd how Uche could fail a medical now
Not confirmed . Sounds like maybe they got preferred targets . Don’t think it’s a secret we have signed injury prone players and we understand the gamble of that . Wilson being a good example ,
but he got us promotion almost single handed
that might be flitctofts answer at the forum if anyone asks . Uche might keep us up this season as well

Where did he fail a medical ? Never heard that pearl before. You would assume a football medical in lower league football would be pretty standard

You have totally missed the point.
Why do players fail medicals at other clubs but get a pass at our's ?
That is a genuine question and one for the Flickers to answer on Thursday.
Which players have failed at other clubs . But passed ours ?

Totally disagree.
It's not about the stats and the only manager to come out to say anything about Uche was the Charlton manager that's actually come out & said anything about him unless you can show me any other articles different.
Uche was a player that was about to get thrown out of the club until AC stumbled on a formation at half time against Barnsley to save his own bacon.
Uche's then gone on to have, what 2 & half decent games which for some reason made him a messiah amongst Vale fans, where before Barnsley he was useless.
When AC gets players back from injury & and one or two more additions in, then he is going to revert back to the possession football that we had been playing because that's the way that AC wants us to play & he's said many many times this season that is our ID & philosophy.
When he reverts back to that, then Uche will be useless again but with what I have seen with Uche already, it's not going to take a switch of formation to render him not very good again.
Fat lad from Stevenage (Evans) also singled him out and that was when he wasn’t in any sort of fitness or form. He now is

Well he’s showing up most of the 20 year olds in the squad for his work rate. 😂

Nail on head 👍
In a very even, often bland game of football, dictated by the same tactics that all coaches are drilled in, it's these marginal differences that make a difference, and provide some much needed entertainment.
Uche provides it.
Quite simply , I’ve enjoyed the games more when he’s been on the pitch , as you mention that also comes into it.
