  1. So you would pay their contract up costing a small fortune on the basis that they are likely to walk away in a few weeks time costing you nothing
  2. If a sex trafficker gave you £20 million but took your daughter I suppose you would be happy because your bank balance looked good?
  3. They must be pretty clued up if they know not only our wage budget but that of every club in the league at the start of the season.
  4. You could say Crosby's team were doing well until he had lost plant and Clarke and with them any pace to carry the ball up the pitch. Devine only really played well for his last month or so and was in and out of the team when we got the majority of our points this season. He was also without garity towards the end. I don't think it is fair to judge either manager with the unbalanced squads they had. Moore may have a bit more pulling power when it comes to signing players. I also don't think the majority of the players are as bad as everyone makes out its just hard when there is no pace, no full/wing backs and it is difficult to make subs that improve the team.
  5. I think the players were lore demoralised by the lack of help (new signings) brought in in January than we were
  6. Looked like he missed a clear and obvious handball by Dipepa before our 2nd but otherwise pretty good
  7. Does anyone know if Moore has been a manager without a DOF or similar at any of his previous clubs?
  8. Unfortunately whilst identifying players to sign we didn't entertain the fact we might be signing players for league 2
  9. It's amazing how much more of the game sky show in the highlights when there aren't any Premier league games
  10. The first half was pretty even. The second half I felt we were just about the better team until they brought Hudlin on, who many wanted us to sign, at which point I felt their performance fell off a cliff. Not excusing nor signing a forward but I would take Dipepa over him every time.
  11. I think that to be a strong leader you have to listen to the advice of those around you but ultimately come to your own decision. If that decision ends up being a mistake then you learn from it. I'm sure Carol will have made plenty of decision in the past going against advice that have got her where she is. I'm also sure she will have made decisions in the past, going against advice she was given which she later regretted. If she didn't go with her gut and published the letter she would probably now still be thinking that if she had things may have been different. That her show of faith in flitcroft and the players may have galvanised the squad and got the results we needed. Even worse not going with her gut may have made her second guess every bold decision in the future. Most people who have become incredibly successful in life look back at a point in their life where they had an idea and went with it, when everyone else told them it would never work, as the decision that made them.
  12. Whilst the quality of the Kane statue looks pretty awful the cost of £7200 surprised me when compared to the £100000 cost of the Rudge statue. I believe the cost of the Rudge statue includes the ground work etc to put it into place but the price difference is huge. 13. I'm not sure it would be wise to have Ripley on the halfway line when defending a corner. [emoji3]
  14. It did make me chuckle (then cry a bit) in Flitcroft's podcast when he was on about PL2 strikers and he stated something like we identified 6 strikers at that level that would score goals at league 1 level and the rest wouldn't. I did wonder when scoring goals at league one became an objective for him when signing strikers.
  15. Carol has made her opinion clear. I think the way people are going about it trying to force her hand will not work. She will either come to her own decision that Flitcroft needs to go, assisted by people close to her whose opinion she values, without being swayed by fans. Or fans trying to force her hand will result in her giving up on the club or perhaps more importantly the fan base. I really hope it is the former. I want Flitcroft gone but I am not arrogant enough to think that I can force her hand.
  16. Of those players only Clarke and Mighten aren't central players (cb, cm or cf) and only Mighten and Thomas have any pace. That for me is the biggest failure for a team that have no full/wing backs or pace in the squad. I really do thinkthat whilst not ideal we may have coped without a striker in Jan if we had just signed some bloody full backs.
  17. I think the thing that finished Thomas off was Loft getting fit. He was featuring from time to time until he played a couple of games with Loft and as a duo they were completely ineffective. We lost a midfielder and never held the ball up up top so lost our ability to dominate possesion.
  18. No one will be buying a ticket as their season ticket holding mates will get it on their behalf at no benefit to themselves.
  19. If we lose by 10 though it would make us a less appealing prospect for a new manager
  20. I think most on this forum would happily make a few bad challenges if it meant that they could play beyond their ability in the top 2 tiers, earning the money that he did.
