It’s not Darren’s fault but he can get us bouncing back

1 goal in our last 8 away games. Incredible. -

Scored in last minute against somebody to salvage a draw in a game we dominated. That's only memory I have of Kanu other than he's tiny. -
Players I never want to see in a Vale shirt again

This thread should of been started after the Cambridge game. I'm afraid a few of you will be disappointed when you see the teamsheet on Saturday. -

Hi Barry. Come and help me start the Port Vale rebuild. Just the 22 grand a week pay drop. You'll be fine. Let's scratch him from our forums and await new ridiculous suggestions . -
Summer transfer rumours and speculation

The trap I won't fall into again. Is that oh they played for last seasons title winners. Great signing. Massey ,Wigan . Grant, Plymouth . Think someone had suggested before , let's raid Harrogate, Morecambe etc for their gems. And yes they do have some. Hungry players not crocks and players on a downward trajectory. -

No self respecting professional footballer would want to be at a club where they have no future and are ostracised. I agree, play hard ball, make our stance known. Then as you say the ball gets rolling and hopefully their agents are on the phone to Spennymoor, Winsford or Truro City and they can leave. We can't afford ( playing wise ) to have some of these loitering around without the possibility of another struggle for league two survival. They are hopeless. A minus 33 goal difference is a disgraceful statistic amongst numerous records we've set this season. Get them gone. There are ways and means. Doesn't have to involve payouts of over a million quid to the cast offs. -

Be good for folk to get a look at Brazier before he goes to Dortmund. -
Seems odd Simpson quoted as saying mid table budget in L2 then ?
-
There was a press release last May saying 4500. Can't find any other info.

Definitely had Armstrong who seemed to do very little. He was meant to be going to Wrexham I think and it fell through. Just had quick ganders and he scored 3 in 20 for Carlisle. He has a 3 1/2 year deal so they splashed the cash definitely on him.

Thought Toby Edser and Usain Crookes were okay 😉

I don't like the defeatist attitude and negative approach 😒. I get Bolton and Peterborough are better than us. Bolton and Peterborough both lost at home to Carlisle. Orient won 3-0 away at Portsmouth. Derby lost at Shrewsbury and drew at Cheltenham. Plenty of other examples. We can't go toe to toe but too many times we have our bellies tickled. In no scenario is a 3-0 defeat acceptable in my opinion. Me and a mate I go to the game with had a ding dong on Wattsap about Peterborough where he said we were seconds away from the perfect first half . I replied there was 45 mins left and we would of got spanked anyway even if 0-0 at half time. We only beat Derby last season due to 10 men and the gods were in our favour. In general we are beaten before a ball is kicked and rarely score against the bigger fish. -
Gateshead almost have no purpose or goal. They have reached their ceiling because of that ruling so little point coming top or in the play offs.

Wimbledon moved to a new stadium on plough lane. I'm a ground nerd and went in October v Bradford when we were on international break. Not a bad ground. Squirreled away amongst flats apartments and office blocks. Little did I know I'd be attending the following season or I wouldn't of gone 🤔. The pubs by the ground ask for your match ticket to check you are a home fan otherwise can't get in.

One of the most bizarre things I've ever heard was that our fans were in the Reading end at Wigan. Completely staggered me. Agree with all your post.

I think a good show is stretching it. Only your profligacy in front of goal stopped a cricket score. But cheers for the good wishes 👍. -

How's the new Udders manager doing ? Surely he's had a third of a season to turn it around? -

Wasn't he on berserk money in League one ? No way he's dropping to League 2 at his age. Be another Dwight Gayle scenario with people believing we have a chance. -

No chance Smith. Huge list ahead of him. Jones, Debrah, Massey, Loft, Grant and Lowe . That's without even racking my brain properly. -

Some of Debrah defending yesterday was beyond a joke. Looks like he's won a raffle to play. Smith has been poor 100%. But he's nowhere near our worst culprit at the back. -

Spot on. Has he even played double figures ? Another perennially injured crock.
