     Bloody Hell, Lads!

What are you doing to me? I've watched every game and slowly slipped into the Trough of Despond, especially after last Saturday's abject surrender. Then, reading all the posts on here this week, I had waved the white flag and genuinely built myself up to, "Meh, not really bothered....we're down. Just watch each game as it comes and DON'T get so het up!"

NOW, after reading this thread, I'm starting to get up for Saturday. I've sniffed some optimism in the air. i'm believing we can win and it will kick start a mini revival which will see us safe. I can't believe I've just written that

If even the diehard Grumpies are sensing something, how can I resist?

Come on Vale, let's be havin yer tomorrow!

2-0 Vale! (Followed by immediate disillusionment/disappointment at 5.00pm...)

    Positive vibes only🧘🧘🧘

  2. For those that don’t know or haven’t had time to listen yet last nights Radio Stoke Sport at Six was superb. Really good round table discussion with messers Sproson, Yates and Legge reflecting on the state of the squad and recruitment.

Phil also mentioned he still has on the table a request to interview DoF to which he’s had no reply..

Pleasant surprise. Cheers for that .

    Has Wilson been training?

Yes he was involved in a 10 v 10 session yesterday as was Loft. No real clues to the line up Saturday it was mix and match on both sides.

Interestingly though Ojo and Chislett didn't take part. They were involved in the light training drills with Uche which makes me even more convinced Ojo hasn't thrown it in but is managing his injury.

I doubt we will see Ikpaezo again

I think you will be in for a nice surpise.

He's been running on the grass for at least 2 weeks and had started to do more drills. I haven't seen him yet involved in the 10 v 10 games yet but if he's not on the bench in at least the next 3 games I will be amazed.

MBE, thank you for posting this. I’m not sure as fans I would be wanting the club to give us this level of information. Also the information provided is just from one side, it could be considered divisive to try and win back the fans. How I see it our fan base is fragmented, there’s only one person that can heal that but that person treats the fans with discontent. Of course I don’t expect her to do what the fans request but to sit there and watch how last season unfolded and then the end of 2023 and to have not taken any action to resolve our fortunes is beyond me.

Yes I know it could probably  receive a mixed reception but at least stakeholders know why.

This is just the tip of the iceberg with Accrington.

Last month they released a fascinating release of accounts with a comprehensive breakdown along with a business plan to make up the shortfall of funding.

It really should be applauded for being so open. Perhaps the tone is a bit blunt but that’s Andy’s character.

Think this comes across as Smurthwaite-esque. Embarrassing.

I don’t know if you are aware of  the backdrop but this has been rumbling since the end of last season.

At least the clubs has communicated WHY.

    All we receive is WHAT.

WHY  fundamental to successful communication and leadership.

So how do you explain 3 wins out of 6 (and a credible draw against Leeds) since he has gone against Moores 3 wins out of 23?.

Why not address all us fans at a fans forum surely everything that was said should be visible to all fans not just a handful? How is that helpful?? Why have we not been told what was discussed. I feel so disconnected! A fans forum lets us know whats going on. I can accept bad decisions i can accept mistakes. But front them. Dont hide away telling us to support the club when we all spend endless money following them home and away and the hide away when things arent going our way. Fed up of it all to be honest

To be fair to the club you can’t do a forum. it would be an absolute free fall with how high feelings are at the moment and probably counter productive.

Patrick is like the club mole he comes on here and posts stuff now and again and reports back to his mum and Fraudcroft

    What’s wrong with that?

A temperature check of fans feelings to report back into the club.

    Seriously what’s wrong with that?

You can’t then complain they don’t listen to fans.

Nothing. He is meant to be chief strategist or something. The reality is, he is just a talentless wanka who only has employment due to his mum. He has done nothing for the club since getting a long overdue haircut at the playoff final.

Steady on. Who do you think is going to be the head of the club when Carol steps away? Kevin & Carol don’t get younger.

I can understand your frustrations but it’s a family owned club.

This kind of management bluffing statement might work in a corporation where there is little chance to voice your dissent, but it’s a totally different matter when there’s a crowd of 5000+ home fans on a Saturday afternoon at vale park who are voicing their unhappiness verbally and then with their feet when they don’t come back the next week.

So true. We are a currently a corporate business rather than a football club.

So, if they went - says, to St George's Park that would be different...??  If anyone thinks they're not training hard then give your head a wobble.

It’s all too nice, which has nothing to do with training hard. Home truths and players taken out of their comfort zone is needed.

The club molly coddles the players.

No.  It's not.  That's you reading that they've been taken to a Spa.  Thats like the Daily Heil saying migrants live in 4-star hotels.

They're there to train; they're NOT there having their nails done with a face mask and prosecco

Missed my point Osh. It’s the environment.

My wife has just seen the whole team arrive at the Champneys Spa resort near Ashby. It regularly gets used by teams and has a training pitch. Think it's great DM has got the team off site for a team build as togetherness is the only way we're going to get results.

That’s just nice Port Vale all over.

This group of softies have thrown the towel in so get taken to a spa. I understand the sentiment away but they should have been sent to the Army camp to install toughness, leadership and a siege mentality.

  15. Win or relegation. Simple as that.

We need to win all of our remaining home fixtures to have any hope. Can’t see it happening with this bunch of jelly.

It’s like death by a thousand cuts watching us over the past 13 mouths.

Don’t worry we will have the best scoreboard and hospitality areas in L2.
