  1. When I first saw this topic I thought it was about our defence... Back on topic the site seems to be much quicker -thanks to all!
  2. Yeah I'd agree with that. But out of the two of them even a lazy Wilson still looks more likely to score.
  3. These are the players I'd go with. Ripley Debrah Smith Lopata Massey Grant Sang Weir Ojo Chislett Wilson If Garrity fit he'd be in
  4. When Garrity is fit I'd argue he's a bigger goal threat than Wilson. I've not seen enough of Mighten yet and I'm not convinced Walters would make much of a difference to Lowe. Either way Moore us working from a small pool of players who none are really a proven massive improvement on what he picked.
  5. Loft is not good enough and I would not be starting him. But as one of our only strikers we don't have a lot of choice. Whilst I cant see him scoring he puts a lot more effort in than Wilson who has gone quiet again after his contract extension. Walters has not really shown he is ready for league one and don't think we should be relying on our youngsters in a relegation scrap.
  6. Regarding team selection what would you have picked? I can't see realistically any major changes who else can come in other than Sang/Weir/Debrah. I probably would have started Sang but can't really say the pool of choice is that great at the moment.
  7. Just listening to the Flitcroft podcast. Interesting listen so far explaining why a striker didn't come in in January. I am glad that he has come out to give his side of the coin and explain the reasons why. He does say if you ever want to chat to him to go to reception and ask for him. Though not sure how successful you'd be with that?
  8. Peterborough have lost 3 in a row. Another poster (think it was Mr H) says we haven't scored from open play in 6 hours of football. We may be in luck! Peterborough have scored 4 own goals in their last 2 games!
  9. Suppose there is still a chance of further points deductions with them
  10. No owner no club... and yes no fans no club so if fans stay away then there'll be no club
  11. She didn't say that. But there have been fans calling her names and for her to go. And then what?
  12. People moan when she hasnt come out and said anything and when she does come out (just because people dislike it) they moan again. I disagree with Flitcroft staying but I think it's great we have an owner who is so open and honest about what's going on and where she stands on matters.
  13. I am no fan of Flitcroft and the DOF model however I respect Carol for coming out with her statement today and being open and honest about her decision and although not one I agree with I hope it pays off. Without Carol we'd be in a serious mess and I am grateful for what they have done. I also don't know the ins and outs of the football club and who does what but there has been some bad mistakes recruitment wise and that needs addressing starting with the next manager.
  14. Anyone know what happened in Aberdeen and why he didn't play? Surely he'd be expected to start most games? Either way he looks just what we need on paper.
  15. I'm sure it'll be a relatively straightforward hopperation.
  16. Please share speedway fans!
  17. Petition · Save Wolverhampton Speedway · Change.org CHNG.IT Petition to try and stop the closure of Wolves Speedway. Dreadful decision from the stadium owners- Wolves is a well supported team and have been there for 100 years. Peterborough also will be homeless at the end of the season and many other clubs futures are at risk.
  18. Another club closed again last week. Newcastle- links to the late ex stoke promoter Dave Tattum. Great shame. On the plus I visited the reopened Oxford recently and it was packed! Great to see. Of course there would ! Can't have speedway without the revving!
  19. Sad news in the world of speedway as the voice of speedway (in recent years) has passed away. RIP Nigel Pearson. Some of you will know Nigel for his football work on talksport or Darts on Sky Sports. All round good guy and respected by his colleagues.
  20. Good to see that Newcastle Diamonds speedway have some hope after they were going to close down this season. Dave was co promoter there and his death has given Rob Grant (ex potter) and current promoter the motivation to keep it running for now for his memory. Too many clubs are closing down.
  21. Dave Tattum the ex promoter of Stoke Speedway recently passed away after an illness. He was incredibly passionate about the sport and was incredibly hard working. RIP Dave. DAVE TATTUM - British Speedway Official Website WWW.SPEEDWAYGB.CO.UK
