  1. Hahahahahahahahaha. Funniest post of the decade!!
  2. I have no idea about this game. BR played some good one touch stuff under Joey Spacker, no idea how they play now. Loft will have a point to prove, he is on fire, two in two (calendar years) now I think. I will go 1-1. Att: 6,900/750 Bristolians.
  3. A lot teams do it. Stoke used to have four x 5 a side pitches for comp in the summer, PNE did, Portly Vale played there.
  4. If a DOF will help with the football infrastructure within the club, and stay help with scouting then I am all for having one. DM should have the final say on signings, tactics, and formations. Martin Foyle was in his early managerial career when he was at Vale. Maybe he has more knowledge now and could work.
  5. It festers in our DNA doesn't it when trying to point the finger and blame anybody we can. Maybe because after years of bad owners and complete and utter tripe we feel we have been let down again. It feels worse now as we have owners/an owner whose heart is in the right place. I would say we need/needed to get rid of whoever was responsible for the subs after 60 minutes in the FA Cup, whoever is/was responsible for the duff sideways football, whoever is/was responsible for recruitment. I would have been more than happy for Flitcroft to stay only if he was nowhere near the first team. I was more than happy for him to build the infrastructure within. We do need experience in there to help. I would welcome Colin Garlic back, he seemed to be a really great person to have around the club.
  6. For the second time in a week, this is my last positive post of the season in our last must win game until next week. Burton 1 - 2 Vale. I would love to see Massey and Loft score. I have not said anything nice about them, so time for them to stick two fingers up to me and fight fight fight for the Vayul. 913 Valiants.
  7. Not always, Brighton away for example in ‘94 was 3pm on a Saturday. They did start to change it towards the late 90’s on and off just to piiss fans off…..disguised as giving the lower leagues more exposure which is a croc. still time for it to be move to a Sunday yet.
  8. Which is exactly what I am saying, he finally achieved his ambition having put the kiss of death on it a million times.
  9. I predict that next season's schiit squad will be down to missing targets due to not know what league we would be in.
  10. We can't all always agree, my opinion is that he was crap. Apart from one season, he finished lower every year and managed to achieve his ambition 'having never been relegated as player or manager' as he used to spout. I thought he was complete gash. Nothing against the guy and wish him well with his health.
  11. Sheffield....who went on to make a profit of over 5.5milion quid from him. The problem was that Rudge signed him and was sacked a week later. Ballbag Horton then played Bent on the right wing instead of as a natural striker.
  12. Probably my last chance of a positive post this season.... Vale 2 - 1 Oxford.......providing we don't gift them a goal with stupidity. Att: 5,495 Can I stay awake longer than 20 minutes this week?
  13. I think he will stay. I have seen an improvement in performances, just about, but it is now heading (slowly) in the right direction. Goals conceded in recent games have been from diabolical individual errors. Initially, well after a few games I wanted him gone. Carol said it would take him three games to discover what he has, well maybe with the dross he has at his disposal it has taken longer. As I believe we are down and gave up a looong time ago, there is absolutely no point in sacking (apologies for a somewhat knee jerk reaction recently). Let's see what happens, we need to keep backing the players and manager. Stupidly, I am feeling confident of a win this weekend just to give me more hope before they get crushed again. If Moore can keep us fighting, then that is all I ask. Odds on Loft to score the winner v Cambridge to keep us on the last day to go day as a Vale hero forever. Maybe I need some meds.
  14. 13 without a win so far, which makes the squad of '24 of the 2023-2023 much worse than the squad of 23 of the 2023-2024 season who only went 11 games without a win. I think it is the second worse run I have seen after 17 without a win in the old Second Division. This is probably worse as it is a lower standard. What have Vale done to me with the draw midweek, it gave me hope. 8 games to run it around, because if we don't then the last two games are irrelevant. If we could take to the last day and win s needed v Cambridge then I would snap your arm off. 1 good performance isn't enough to convince me that we can do it. I am dreaming. How to do I find the odds on Vale to stay up?
  15. Wow, a game with no sideways tippy tappy back to Ripley believe it or not. Much more entertaining to watch. Massey linked up well down the right and at times we actually looked decent. Still, 13 without a win, 3 wins in 28 for us, and 3 wins in 30 for Darren Moore.....however, we are now unbeaten in 1!!
  16. Danny Sonner mentioned wages at Vale about 20 years ago.....so what do we do pre-season, bugger off to Spain and have zero match condition pre season friendlies. Point being, Vale will always be Vale, and for the second season running the prep for the new season has been an absolute shambles.
  17. Sorry, just saw the player behind, I thought it was a fuzzy screenshot.
  18. With my dodgy VAR I think there is a case there. Unfortunately with crap officials and no official VAR the case is closed.
  19. I know, love it pal, highest form of humour in my eyes!! There is nobody more sarcastic than me in real life. I am a right arrse. We are all Vale. We all want the best for Vale despite us all maybe differing on opinions which direction we are heading. UTV!! 🙂
  20. You were saying? 🤣 There is optimism, and then there is realism. I have accepted the realty that our fate was sealed back in September/October after the utter gash we produced when we stumbled to a win against Northampton. I really wish I could be more upbeat, but I would be hurting myself more.
  21. Smurf - admitted his failings and took full responsibilty for relegation and accepted he was hoodwinked. Jim Gannon, gave a chance to Premiership Dam Morsy, dropped pisshead Gary Roberts, won a game or two and signed Tom Pope. Carol wont admit she has been hoodwinked. After just six games I have had enough the waffle coming from DM's mouth every pre/post match interview. I never bought into the non rousing speech before the game. I said the game would be over after ten minutes. It so predictable that I dont bother watching anymore. I go through the motions of reading the post mortem every Sunday though and hope something has changed. I live in hope but accept reality.
  22. No Glad all over........I think the guy who played it had his position made redundant due to lack of work. Seriously, hallelujah, bag of <ovf censored> song. Goal music is so cheesy. Hope it is binned off for good.
