Listening to Barry Bannan after the Sheffield Wednesday game on Sky, it sounds like he’ll be off from there at the end of the season. 34, but with young legs in midfield round him, would be useful if his fitness was controlled. The Moore connection might help.

The Motherwell comment is positive. Hasn’t stuck around anywhere for very long though - although changes in ownership etc might have forced that.

I’m guessing that specifics (ie DF) were addressed, but the club hasn’t wanted to stir the hornet’s nest just yet, based on the need for united impetus re: relegation. I’d be disappointed if there isn’t more transparency once that situation is resolved one way or another though.

Reading between the lines in Mike Baggaley’s Substack post tonight, I guess the deal to sell has been agreed but the paperwork hasn’t been completed, so the club can’t make a statement yet. As a result, it may be a while before we get anything concrete from the club. No idea how long these things take, but I’m presuming there won’t be an official announcement until everything is signed and sealed.

It’ll be interesting to see any small print in the sale, especially regarding things like continuing sponsorship, the location of the company etc. How much of that sale will make its way to the club and how much will remain in personal accounts? Lots of questions. Maybe we need another open letter…

Can’t find any Premier League players who’ve gone to any Belgian clubs in this window - (although it might not have been completed yet) a couple have gone to Dutch teams. Adrian Mazilu, a young Brighton right winger and Krisztian Hegyi who’s a goalkeeper for Den Bosch.

Just watched AC’s pre-Portsmouth press interview and he stated that Charlton’s bid for Uche triggered a release value/clause that allowed them to speak to him - so we would get some money for him if he were to leave in this window.
