Just had a look on Twitter for posts towards Carol and there is a lot of stick aimed her way. Nothing personal or abusive, but a lot of anger. A lot of people calling for her to sell which I REALLY disagree with. She's made some pretty obvious mistakes and hasn't helped herself with some of the quotes she's made - "phenomenal players", "coaches wives say we'll stay up", "appointing Dave Flitcroft wasn't a mistake" etc but fans need to be careful what they wish for in calling for her to sell.

Why does Moore keep saying things like "they", "Port Vale", "the Vale". It's "we" Darren. YOU are in charge of this. Take some accountability!

Bowers just said we have the lowest 'tackles made' stats in the whole league. Seems our nice guys just don't want to hurt anyone!

They're all scared. No leaders. Imagine recruiting "nice guys" rather than "winners".

When Reading invaded the pitch, according to EFL rules, we should have got the 3 points. We didn't. And lost the re-arranged game. Those 3 points could now relegate us! We've been garbage, and deserve to be relegated, but another team will be the same and finish 5th bottom!

I don't think Darren Moore can leave if he wants to continue a career in management. I'm sure I read somewhere he's won 5 games of football in his last 40 odd games as manager. Just been relegated. His stock is low. His best plan now would be to lead us into the playoffs/promotion to rebuild his reputation. If he stays, and we're not doing well in L2, gets sacked before Christmas, he's finished.

I think if we were winning, people would be saying "I really like how calm and collected Moore is" + "he never gets too emotional whether we win or lose". I agree that Vale fans do react better to passionate managers though - Clarke/Adams vs Moore/Page/Askey etc.

She still needs to recognise her mistakes. An apology would do that to reverse this statement: "I have made several mistakes as owner of Port Vale. Appointing Dave Flitcroft was not one of them".

She's cocked up massively. To put this right: She needs to write another letter to the fans, apologising. She needs to write a massive transfer warchest cheque from her own money to fund a promotion winning side. She's caused this, not the fans who saw these issues a mile off. She needs to get a real manager in.

Football finances are spiralling out of control. If clubs start giving £2k a week to a £1k a week player, other clubs either have to follow suit, or be left with the dregs and relegation. This repeats for years. We're in a position now where every club is losing money every season. You either do it and lose money, or spend within your means and get relegated. I was very against resigning him this summer, and got absolutely hammered on here. However, I wouldn't be against resigning him if we're in L2 next season, so long as he's like a 4th choice option and a low wage + high appearance fee to de-risk any lengthy spells out.

Same as last year then. Luckily, last season, there were 4 worse sides. I don't think that's the case this year.
