Match Thread: Port Vale v Mansfield Town
Houston Valiant replied to Breadwinner's topic in Port Vale present
I like Bowers too. He adds colour to the commentary, and he’s a true Vale fan. It must have killed him to have to work in Bournemouth a few weeks ago. -

Let’s have an early prediction from Phil Bowers. He was spot on Saturday. 2-2 head, 2-1 heart, for me. -
NRG stadium Houston . Fit for a World Cup Final . 75,000 capacity.

Maybe they’ll stop being silly now, and get up off their knees. Pathetic.

I went to the Houston Rodeo on Saturday. Lots to see , including an event called mutton busting, which involved 6 year old boys and girls riding on the back of a sheep and trying to hold on for 10 seconds. Very entertaining. The children put so much effort into it. -
We need need Trump back , otherwise it could be all over . Putin is delusional , muttering about a nuclear threat , and that’s dangerous . Biden can’t handle it . Bring back Trump , and he’ll sort this mess out. If he wasn’t robbed of the election, all would be fine now in Ukraine. Biden has dementia, Harris has a dose of the giggles, and the whole world is under threat right now. If anyone thinks that it’s not, they’re a fool. Putin was waiting for his chance all along. Hitler laughed at Chamberlain , and now Putin is laughing at Biden. A sad state of affairs . God help us.

Trump had Putin by the short and curlies. A real man , who stood up to Russia. War in Europe now , thanks to Biden the real p**** in all this. Even Neville Chamberlain had more sense than Biden , but it’s the same situation. Hitler laughed at Chamberlain and Putin is laughing at Biden.

Did he take the knee before he kicked it? Cats (9) Lives Matter.

I’m commenting about football in general. Nothing political about it at all. Beckham was asked one time about what was needed to win a particular match when he was at Man Utd. He said “ If they score one , then we have to score 2” Of course , with you lot , it’s always America’s fault , and any opportunity to knock this great country is taken. But , as they say in Texas , we could give a rat’s ass. 🤣. Get your own country in order first , before throwing stones. Oops , I just got political. 🤣🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

A tough one Saturday. Leyton Orient won’t lie down and have their bellies tickled. 2-1 to the Vale. Just. -

He broke their momentum. What's embarrassing about that? Teams have played those tricks on us for years, what's goes around comes around. Yes, he did break their momentum, but the way in which he did it was embarrassing to watch. Really bad acting . That’s all. We should have been out of sight by then, by the Vale are playing well. Looking forward to Saturday. -
We’re talking about the present now. Try to keep up.

I love the Vale , and it’s great to be near the top , even at this early stage, but that was embarrassing on Saturday from Covolan, in my opinion. -
The taking of the knee originates with NFL player Colin Kaepernick, who has made millions from it. He’s lucky , because he can’t play worth a ****. When he jumped off the cliff , the rest of the sheep followed.

3-1 to the Vale . -
Yeah , and they had Perfect Way as well, I think.
-
I saw it on iFollow . I thought he was very lucky to still be on the pitch. No need for it.
-
David Sylvian , St. Etienne , Scritti Politti . Sylvian is a genius , but not everyone’s cup of tea.
-
P&G on now. After a 1-1 draw , and 4 red cards , 3 of them as a result of a mass brawl near the end. there are very few calls so far. Sandos is his usual nauseating self. Not that I’m interested. 🤣.
-
A real goal poacher . Similar to Greaves, he could turn on a sixpence. RIP

I like watching the Vale on iFollow, but I think that Phil Bowers should make it as easy and clear as possible to get it across for radio listeners. There are times when he drifts away from it for a minute or two. That’s a long time when someone is listening. For me, Blakeman is very good . Crisp and sharp. Phil Sproson sounds weary , but he does speak his mind . Standards have dropped in the modern game and he sees that . Crewe should never be on the radio . They’re not a Staffordshire club. McGarry, Angela Smith 🤮, Sandos, Pejic etc should all be consigned to the scrap heap. Truly awful.
