  1. I wouldn't have been surprised see a penalty given for that. A bit silly from Worrall
  2. Unbelievably Grimsby are off the bottom, as things stand. Still don't hold much hope for them given their run in.
  3. I'd need to see it again. I was convinced that we should have had a penalty, just before the goal though. Still it didn't matter in the end.
  4. Crawley commentary team have already deemed us a team with nothing to play for this season, not going up or down.
  5. Despite my being hopeful of avoiding calamity, even before the last 2 results, things were starting to get a little anxious. like yourself I feel more confident. Hopefully the players do too and that should allow them to play with a bit more freedom than 2 weeks ago. That, and the return of some key players, should really help in the coming weeks.
  6. I think that was the 1st one that I went to. I think it was the 1st for a very long time. I remember when Earle scored the sound was so loud it was distorted in my ears. I also remember watching one game from in the Stoke Paddock, I remember us taking the lead and just watching that whole Vale end erupt in ecstasy was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, just a shame I couldn't enjoy it (but I like my teeth too much).
  7. I remember that, coming through the external exit of the stand and the builders had just left bricks lying around that were there for the renovation. It was a pretty tense few mins trying to get out of the concourse with bricks being lobbed in.
  8. I agree lets not get carried away๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ™Œ. Can't wait to piss the league next year.
  9. Friday 2nd April Salford City Vs Grimsby Town Monday 5th April Grimsby Town Vs Cheltenham Town Saturday 10th April Bradford City Vs Grimsby Town Saturday 17th April Grimsby Town Vs Bolton Wanderers Tuesday 20th April Grimsby Town Vs Morecambe
  10. So, Grimsby won, Barrow lost and the rest of the teams near the bottom got a point. Not a bad evenings work overall.
  11. Looking at the run in they've got they are not going to be winning much regardless of how confident they are.
  12. I don't really see any way back for Grimsby at this point, even if they win tonight.
  13. Again, word (and letter) economy working against me.
  14. Yes a big relief following events of the last week. That line is always there but we shouldn't be anywhere near it as we have been for 3 out of the last 4 seasons. I was hoping that we would be much more focused on the lines at the other end of the table. At least now it looks as though we will get a chance to reset, and the move onwards/upwards.
  15. I'd rather Walsall stay up too, and I think that they will. In my opinion football should be decided on the pitch, and no club has a Devine right to be in any particular league. That said when I look at non league now I see a lot of former league clubs who have lost their places to, former, non-league clubs who have been heavily bank rolled. As such they come into the league without having developed a fanbase. Part of me would much rather see the Hamil well populated by Stockport and Walsall fans than completely empty, as it was frequently even before lockdown.
  16. Yep, they were really good today. I thought the Cheltenham chaps were good too. Other than that it's been a bit of a mixed bag with Tranmere being the worst.
  17. Please, let me be complacent, just this once. ๐Ÿ™‚
  18. Agreed 1 of the bottom 2 has started to put some results together, Barrow. And now they have passed Southend. We have a 13 point lead over Grimsby, who have 28 points from 35 games. 4 of the 5 teams below us have 0 wins in their last 5. There is pessimism and then there is this.
  19. You think that Southend, who have picked up 3 points from their last 5 games and averaged less than a point a game all season, are going to pick up 16 points in their last 10 games?
  20. Barrow will make the playoffs at this rate๐Ÿ˜„. Not too much to worry about tonight. We needed a couple of results and we have them. For a while it was difficult to see where they were going to come from but I always had hope.
  21. Can't really see Southend and Grimsby getting to 42 points, based on current form. I think that we're all but safe.
