Relegation Party or wake ?
Will the players actually turn up and show us what they can do ?
Can Darren end the season with a win ?
Is it a "must win game" or will we finish 2nd bottom and go out with a whimper ?
Who knows, it's another "guess the line-up" game but thankfully, whatever way the game is going, we won't be sweating on other results and at 5.00pm we fans can all have a breather and keep an eye on the National League and League Two play-offs.
Thank goodness it's over.

I'm not slagging him off. I said give him one transfer window to see how good he is. As you say, that doesn't mean he can transform the team given what he's starting with but we have to be sure he's going in the right direction - we (they've) managed to put the Club on its knees and so we need to start the rebuilding right now. Life's hard...
Sorry bud, I know you weren't slagging him off, apologies to you fellow Valiant.- 1

Agreed, but its no use slagging off a manager who is expected to turn this around with only one transfer window when his hands are tied with most of a squad still under contract. The thing is though, we can't get back up without the right players, so yes, the Owners will have to spend some more of their money but then one could argue they are responsible for this predicament due to their poor management choices... Life's hard etc.
The owners are definitely responsible for this predicament and it's their money (hopefully) that will get us back to league one.

Can't say I agree with this, considering how many players are still under contract for next year - Moore can't bring too many in unless we pay off the dross costing yet more valuable funds which could be used to pay for better players.
Definitely only one transfer window. We will know by then whether he's the guy for us and we can't risk more failure just to be 'nice'. The Vale needs to find it's ruthless side, from the Owners down.
Add that to the fact we will have been relegated and that in itself may deter players from signing.
Give the guy a full season, and then till the following Christmas, there's no way we will be challenging for a return to league one next year, more likely fighting to maintain our league status. -
First people out of the door should be our sports scientists.

Can't see Moore quitting, especially as his team of backroom staff recently joined too.
I have a feeling that funds will be made available as soon as the season ends to rebuild, whichever division we are in.
I think that's what persuaded him to join in the first place.
I also think we fans may be surprised at the level of funds made available.- 3

Personally I would like to Sang back in the RCB role as i think he had his best game for us v Wigan in that position
I also expect that Wynne will be in the squad as well
Let's hope it's a Wynne Win situation

According to BBC sport Ten Haag is looking for a goalscorer for Man Utd for next season - I guess we could offer him one of ours

Not yet, for all their possession Ripley has had not a lot to save that was on target.Ah well.
Game over.
A bit more aggressive up front and we can still cause problems for their defence.
The goal came from a very poor throw in from Plant who is struggling to cope at right back.
If we can keep it at 1-0 till 75 minutes then throw on the subs who knows, a point is still up for grabs here.- 1

Surely everyone is watching Rep. Ireland v England ?Fair play to you lads watching Cheltenham v Carlisle instead of Real Madrid v Man City- 3

Do you fancy a house swap ?I live about 10 mins away and the weathers ok at the moment
Hang on, the relentless rain has ceased and there's a funny looking yellow thing in the sky. -
If its raining in Peterborough like it's raining here, there's a good chance it will be off again.

If Shrewsbury fail to beat Wycombe on Saturday then they are right in the mix looking at their next two away games.
Cambridge may well be safe by the time we play them but unless we pick up some wins by then it may already be irrelevant.
Plenty of twists and turns yet and considering just how bad we have been its amazing that we are still in with a shout of staying up.- 2

Spot on lad the striker issue is baffling one , I believe the F word aimed to,high and went after championship standard strikers and was out bid , he said he went after the top striker in League 2 and was out bid . Really stinks all that does you can smell ode de bull coming from his mouth .
but even more puzzling was the choice to play wing back system and recruiting one who has hardly played , then not recruiting at least 2 as cover . The whole process the F word implemented in respect of strikers + wing backs was faitally flawed .
I believe Carol or Matt needs to explain the recruitment shortfalls which ultimately has caused our relegation to league two
Didn't realise the season has finished, has Covid struck again ?

We have 6 games left, we target 18 points - it's that simple, nothing less.
Uche up front on his own is NOT THE ANSWER.
Monday we reverted to type in the second half, if we are going to continue with Ripley seeing more of the ball than any other player we should play Leutwiler in goal and shove Conner up front.

ColchesterUnited? Very John Motson. Could you be referring to Newcastle United, Leeds United, West Ham United?- 1

How are the "Super Computer" predictions looking after 1 game ?Nail Biting Stuff !!
Perhaps it should be retitled "Not so super computer"
It's in our own hands, keep playing like we did yesterday and last week and we will certainly be in the mix come last game.- 1
