  1. Sorry bud, I know you weren't slagging him off, apologies to you fellow Valiant.
  2. Agreed, but its no use slagging off a manager who is expected to turn this around with only one transfer window when his hands are tied with most of a squad still under contract. The owners are definitely responsible for this predicament and it's their money (hopefully) that will get us back to league one.
  3. Can't say I agree with this, considering how many players are still under contract for next year - Moore can't bring too many in unless we pay off the dross costing yet more valuable funds which could be used to pay for better players. Add that to the fact we will have been relegated and that in itself may deter players from signing. Give the guy a full season, and then till the following Christmas, there's no way we will be challenging for a return to league one next year, more likely fighting to maintain our league status.
  4. First people out of the door should be our sports scientists.
  5. Can't see Moore quitting, especially as his team of backroom staff recently joined too. I have a feeling that funds will be made available as soon as the season ends to rebuild, whichever division we are in. I think that's what persuaded him to join in the first place. I also think we fans may be surprised at the level of funds made available.
  6. According to BBC sport Ten Haag is looking for a goalscorer for Man Utd for next season - I guess we could offer him one of ours [emoji6]
  7. Not yet, for all their possession Ripley has had not a lot to save that was on target. A bit more aggressive up front and we can still cause problems for their defence. The goal came from a very poor throw in from Plant who is struggling to cope at right back. If we can keep it at 1-0 till 75 minutes then throw on the subs who knows, a point is still up for grabs here.
  8. You should be banned from this site posting anything off that gambling site ! [emoji6]
  9. Surely everyone is watching Rep. Ireland v England ?
  10. Do you fancy a house swap ? [emoji6] Hang on, the relentless rain has ceased and there's a funny looking yellow thing in the sky.
  11. If its raining in Peterborough like it's raining here, there's a good chance it will be off again.
  12. If Shrewsbury fail to beat Wycombe on Saturday then they are right in the mix looking at their next two away games. Cambridge may well be safe by the time we play them but unless we pick up some wins by then it may already be irrelevant. Plenty of twists and turns yet and considering just how bad we have been its amazing that we are still in with a shout of staying up.
  13. Didn't realise the season has finished, has Covid struck again ?
  14. We have 6 games left, we target 18 points - it's that simple, nothing less. Uche up front on his own is NOT THE ANSWER. Monday we reverted to type in the second half, if we are going to continue with Ripley seeing more of the ball than any other player we should play Leutwiler in goal and shove Conner up front.
  15. Your mates a cheeky beggar, he does know our form over the last 5 games is better than theirs !.
  16. How are the "Super Computer" predictions looking after 1 game ? Perhaps it should be retitled "Not so super computer" It's in our own hands, keep playing like we did yesterday and last week and we will certainly be in the mix come last game.
  17. Was he wearing a name badge ? [emoji6][emoji6]
  18. R.I.P. Billy, oh how we could do with you right now.
  19. Unfortunately Hilts (Steve McQueen) was recaptured so didn't really escape, let's hope Vale get a more positive ending.
  20. Assuming its NOT DF, i see the problem will be with future recruitment: A large number of the current crop will be under contract next season whichever league we are in, therefore we will need to move players on before bringing new in (assuming whoever is in charge of recruitment thinks they aren't up to the job). The wage budget The transfer kitty Actually attracting better players to the club Time. In my view Time is the critical factor, any new players will need time to bed in, whether or not they get a full preseason the chances are early results next season may not start well. Any new players (and existing) will be scrutinised each and every minute on the pitch and it won't take long for fans that "never wanted him in the first place" to vent their feelings.
