while i dont take pleasure in anyone losing their job. this has to be a positive move by the club and its owner. one thing that has never been answered during this last 18 months is why was the recruitment so awful? was it because the money wasnt there in the first place? the whole championship ready thing was setup for a huge fall without championship funds ( and we all know what sort of money it takes to do that ). if we dont have the funds to push for the championship either it shouldnt have been said or just come clean with the fanbase that without added investment we will never afford a 20 goal striker in this league?? . i just cant believe for the life of mw that a player wouldnt come to any club for location or family reasons as crosby then flitcroft stated in interviews on radio.. so who is lying?

Methinks you've touched the very nerve, Investing, what's been spent is superficial, absolutely nothing on and for building a team, it's a fact the Emporess has no clothes, all wind and phiss as been given to those that lobbied the owner, the next stage will tell if any of the hollow words have any credence, there's definitely trouble at'the Mill to be sure, money where your mouth is or it's a continuous spiral down and out, summers going to be a long wait, or a surprising regeneration, don't hold ya breath.

theyve cut back too far and are paying the price not only now but next season and for the next few seasons - alot of fans have had enough of being taken for granted - they also think it will be easy to get promotion again next season - we all know its not that simple.

How these two nieve innocents abroad ever thought that they could run a football club beggars belief, I think JR warned them in the early days, now that nievity as come back to haunt them and ruin all what was achieved. Those they sacked must be smiling and thankful they were gone from this mess, it obvious now that the "Qeen is in the altogether the altogether " the signs are all their , no saviours only misguided intent.

Somebody re-posted this on Facebook earlier.

Just watching it back now.  Jesus Christ Carol and Kevin, take a long hard look at where we are now.  Why has it come to this?

Just bought a football club and her first words " we have a fabulous kitchen here" FFS the very words of doom, FA about turning the club into a fortress of a fighting team but a domestic science venue for little scroats who couldn't give a toss about football, the plot was lost at the beginning, and now the situation as change into rumours about their relationship and having sold their business what's the future hold, a truly sad state of affairs, excuse the pun.

    - Custodians of the club for a short time

    - Such a lot of work needing to be done on the stadium

    - Make the club successful for the fans

    - Aim high and then if that aim isn't achieved then getting somewhere near it would still be a good achievement

    - Colin Garlick is an incredible asset to the club

    - Steve Speed works incredibly hard

    - Kevin mentions being "bullied" into "feeding kids" for the foundation charity. Really doesn't indicate it to be a priority at all for the football club

Really they were doing a great job of keeping to those words until January 2022. At that point the "aim high" mindset was scrapped, not long after Garlick was thrown on the scrapheap. Nothing has been right at the club since January 2022. What happened?

The Titanic syndrome hit,Capt on the bridge, Chief engineer pisht in his cabin, whilst the Bosun and his new sign-ons playing subutio in the mess, and the useless rats start to jump ship, the best cat luckily got sacked at the first port of call and watched SS Pvale sail to its doomed future.

  5. Super computer says this morning:Despite their games in hand, Port Vale won’t be able to make up the ground and will remain in 23rd. Fleetwood will join them in League Two next season, although the supercomputer has predicted a great escape for Cheltenham.

  6. This manager, all fur coat and no knickers, he's just wind and pish, 5 years to hoan his manager skills with his team of shysters, Oh Carol you are such fool, you screwed it when employed these tools, as for Flitcroft he'll make you cry, cause in the end the Vale will surely die. Apologies to N Sedaka.

  7. In JR'S. Book, he travelled 100s of miles to view potential players, sometimes two matchyes on the same day, many hours away from home in a jalopy of car supplied by Bill Bell, this is professional devotion to the club, I wonder what Flicroft has done , I suspect he's a telephone traveller, both him and Moore needs to  take a this leaf out of a masters book, and BTW Carol,  Flitcroft has never paid back or ever will the extent of JR'S time, ability, and  monetary results to our club, so think on Carol you may own the ground but club belongs to the supporters, historical and future, JR knew this hence the statue to be built, so for these two characters Flitcroft and Moore either start to learn from the master his record and his book or has we say in the Potteries dialect,  "Bugger thee sen off," and for you Carol before it all turns sour, find some dignity to rid us of your misguided appointment of an inept carpet bagger.

  8. This is a Ratners moment "we sell crap" Shanahan will rue the day she publish that letter, we've been in some difficult situations in the past but what she and Fraudcroft have created has ruined my club, never since I set foot on the Lorne Street pavings in 1961 have I experienced such a dilemma as this, a new manager apart from the above it seems we now have a duffer of a manager who's pulled the wool, so far he couldn't inspire a team of kids, hoping against hope from now on.

With no official comment from any of the said bodies in that meeting, I would say it was a meeting to appease those who head those factions. And by the way not one of them matter. Not to the fans or the clubs. I mean, the black and good group? Get a <ovf censored> grip. That ship sailed long ago and shouldn’t exist still!

    The supporters club.
Who is the chairman these days?
    When are the meetings?
Tell me why you represent ME as a supporter?
    You are absolutely pointless!

Who was the third? The NLV?
    Virtue signaling lot.

All three factions. You do realise she is appeasing you all. You do realise this bides her more time for David. And I really really hope you all realise that after that statement you’ll make statements in your own little bubbles and social media sites.

So show us YOUR conclusions after this meeting.

    I won’t hold my breath.

That hits the spot, well said, absolutely correct 👍

I think we lose Tuesday. So the two home games are the ones that I think will put us back out of the drop zone or it will probably take us down. That’s how important the two games are in my eyes. 6 points are needed from these three games minimum for me. If we can’t beat Lincoln and fleetwood at home whilst in a relegation battle then we don’t deserve to stay up. Another week with the manager so let’s see what we can produce. The serious lack of fight yesterday was a big worry for me. Usually you see a new manager in charge and players run and tackle all day long for him. Not yesterday. If you closed your eyes yesterday you’d have put money on Crosby was still in charge. Nothing changed at all. I accept the players aren’t good enough to survive but I did expect to see some urgency and fight but none of that was seen. If we can get 6 points out the next three games then we will be out the bottom 4 and we’re back alive and fighting with a good chance of staying up. Huge 10 days coming up.

if we are to be relegated it’ll be horrible back in that league. Fans will lose interest and we will be back to 4,300 gates with 150 away fans as the norm in a huge stadium with no atmosphere at all. We will lose out on sold out away ends from possibly Stockport Sheffield derby Wrexham and probably something in the region of £300k.
It’ll be a huge financial blow which will impact another budget and then squad will be weaker again. We won’t get these England u20 loans in that league. The clubs a mess at the moment and can’t see it getting any better anytime soon, sadly. If we are to continue the role of a DOF then since back in league one we nearly went down with a game to go and we will go down this year so you can’t tell me Flitcroft has been good enough to carry on in this role. He has to go and we bring someone else in surely. Carol open your eyes please! I’m sure you’ll be well aware of this next season when you’re sitting in your posh seat with 4,000 fans in attendance.

It was ok in the 60s and 70s LOL

We've gone nowhere as a club? The investment in the club has been immense. When you spend time at the club in the week like I do the difference around the place is immense. Rome wasn't built in a day. All of those investments that people moan about, the scoreboard, the new suite, the community work- they are all ultimately money spinners (even the community work improves the reputation of the club and attracts new fans- have you noticed how many more families come to Vale now- these kids are the next generation of die hards- essential in this day and age when you can watch any match you want online on a Saturday afternoon) and even the much maligned director of football and sales pitches to players mean our loans are so much better than they used to be. Its all about long term planning. It may not save us this season but it means we will be in a strong position to bounce straight back and push on again. In a way it mirrors people's thinking about the passing it around at the back, sometimes a temporary backwards step is a necessary evil in order to move forward in the long run- case in point- our second goal today. I swear if more people spent their prematch somewhere other than the pub there would be a lot less moaning on a match day and on here.

With you all the way Fuzzy mate, it was two days and a match, these five minute vale fans can always Bug'erOff and find something else to persistently moan about, well said, let's have some inspiration to achieve and encouragement, things will improve without doubt.

    Open message for you Carol.

I don't trust the process! The "Championship-ready" statement about our infrastructure, backroom team and community initiatives, Robbie Williams Suite, new scoreboard, new training facilites and offices... it's all pointless if the First Team is <ovf censored> and never wins football matches.

The last two January transfer windows have been shambolic. You haven't learned the lesson from January 2023 that nearly cost us our L1 status. January 2024 was actually even worse that 2023, and this squad of players lacks the strength, courage, leadership, character, fight, determination, passion (all the things that you can't see on a laptop screen of statistics about players when recruiting)

You've asked us not to protest at matches and to keep our feelings to ourselves when we can see a major issue with the internal structure of our football club and the flaws in our recruitment process, so I'll be protesting with my wallet and keeping it shut come May when it's time to renew our three season tickets.

I'm absolutely fuming! Every single team that we've played this season has better players than us. How can we possibly compete at L1 level when we've only got three players who are genuinely of the required standard?

I hope the players hurt as much as us supporters, but sadly doubt that they do!

If DM can keep this shower up, I'll be truly impressed!

It's been two days and one match, jeese ! What chance when fickle fans like this.
