  1. What was the thinking behind the lack of The Wonder of you before kick off AND no Glad All Over when we scored? Another decision by her indoors to say to us fans......you've been naughty challenging my decisions so I'll stop your long standing rituals?
  2. I posted before how despondent frustrated and totally bemused as to how Fraudcroft could remain at our Club. I suffer, like all Valiants but lately it had made me ill with worry and I wanted to cut ties with my lifetime Club. However after the posts from Bede and others detailing their meeting with Carol plus DM' s rallying call, I felt I owed myself 1 last at seeking some salvage from a bitch of a season. How wrong I was to believe any of the hot air/ trollope! From the moment I saw the team sheet until the dire end of the game I was completely dejected. What an absolute pile of shyite they all are. We are a VERY poor tea. devoid of any leadership, fight, tactics or spirit. Fact. I am now seriously done. Valiants enjoy your lives. I will not be in atte da ce at Vale Park again until Fraudcroft is gone. Over to you Carol as I believe I am far from being the only disconsolate season ticket holder.
  3. I had previously stated how absolutely demoralised I'd felt recently concerning the performances on the pitch and the feeling of disconnect with the Club itself. However after Bede's brilliant post detailing aspects of the meeting held with the Club and the rallying call from DM I am now prepared to swallow my pride and see if this is all hot air or do we really mean business in attempting to stay in Division 1? I've supported the Vale for over 40 years at home and away. Yes it is so difficult not to knee-jerk but I was not alone in my way of thinking. Honestly I was suffering lost night's sleep as a fanatic I replayed every game and every post that came out of the Club and it took it's toll on my sanity. I have a 60 mile round trip each game at Vale Park, along with my wife(another season ticket holder) so I do feel sometimes a little out of things as I'm not local so to speak. I therefore rely to a great extent on OVF for any snippets or discussions. By the way I think Rob does an absolutely first class job of running such a great fans site, thanks Rob. I will be there tomorrow to back the Team and I ask that similar minded fans like me , who had previously suggested they were finished to do likewise. Let's experience whether what DM and the players have said are trustworthy. For my position this may be last chance because if I witness another shambolic, lacklustre, couldn't care less game then that will be it. I can so easily find something more fulfilling and worthwhile to do on match days. Let's hope and pray the players have an overnight pang of conscience and actually perform the way us Valiants want them to!
  4. Many thanks Bede for your detailed post. I, initially, like many others were left a little bewildered at the original statement put out by the Club. I now know much more and am satisfied that at long last a commencement of reasonable debate and discussion has been set up. If only your eloquent post had been seen BEFORE the Club' s rather scant statement, I suggest most of the concern and disbelief could have been avoided. I applaud yours and the others involved attempts to voice Valiant fans opinions. Time will tell but hopefully now you have gone to print the majority of us can at least accept the door is open to eventually appease our concerns.
  5. I simply wanted to know who called the meeting as The Club say it was not them. I also thought members of said Supporters Club and/ or B & G may have been advised that they were requesting a meeting.
  6. So this "meeting" took place on Monday? Why has no one, even members of the Supporters Club and the Black & Gold unit been contacted, either previous to or after said meeting? The actual fan base were NOT represented then, only a handful of PVFC selected elite asked to attend. Stinks again of trying to sweep things under the carpet by attempting to hoodwink a few people at the meeting, in the hope they could persuade the actual fan base to do as the Club say!!!! Fat chance of that.
  7. I thought he's been a bit ruff lately! Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree or havent picked the bones out of his game correctly!😄 I'll get my coat.......
  8. Doubt it. Didn't coalmen deliver to the back (of the house).😁
  9. As a side issue Accrington Stanley have sacked John Coleman.
  10. No. I've made my feelings clear previously. I treasure my sanity and health too dearly.
  11. Join the Club mate. Made my decision before today as it has been making me ill. Over 40 years of supporting Vale and its come to this. Embarrassing, frustrating, unacceptable....pick your adjectives. I'm done. Feel so, so sorry for travelling Valiants who waste their time and money on this shower of trollop.
  12. This says a lot about the behind the scenes turmoil. Very, very sad state of affairs. As fans we are regularly told of the so called comaraderie and togetherness at the Club but in truth it does seem the bile/hatred is evident at the Club as well as in the fan sphere. Totally peed off now, going to open another drink rather than watch the result on the pitch.
  13. Big shout out to all travelling Valiants today. Safe journey and hope you all get something out of your support. I'm sorry to admit that I'm giving it a miss. Too depressed with the whole Club at present. Felt I needed a break. UTV. SVA.
  14. He passes it backwards of course to our goalie.😃
  15. If we keep it to 3 0 I'll break open a decent bottle of red.🍷
  16. Am I being thick. Just, and only just, realised killersrevenge44 has his picture as Bill Bratt!
  17. Doesn't need to score more for me. 1 horse race. Ben Garrity all day long.
  18. Fans are the ones that are realistic and accept exactly how poor we really are.
  19. I was sat in line with it. It was a penalty. Jones is NOT a Division 1 player. He is a liability. You only had to watch and savour the way Lincoln's left back continually stroked the ball 40 to 50 yards to their winger to see what a difference there was. Also their winger had acres of space against Jones all match. Jones always wanders infield, as do all our full backs over the years recently, letting wingers run at us instead of being up their shirts. Strange isn't it that opponents don't allow our wide players the same room!!
  20. Most Valiants were emotionally drained before kick off and I was pleasantly surprised at the feeling as the game started. There was an effort by all fans to get behind the team. However after one and a bit minutes all life had been drained out of us. By the final whistle the atmosphere had obviously done a u turn. Apathy, frustration and sheer disbelief set in and frankly Vale are staring down the abyss. There is no way out now with the current squad. We are down. This Club faces a gigantic close season. It could go very, very wrong. Most Valiants, hand on heart have seen this coming. Time now to face reality. We simply have to ensure next season sees us stay in the Football League.
  21. I'm with you mate about golden boy Wilson . An absolute "luxury" we cannot afford in a team allegedly fighting for life. Maybe get one or 2 touches out of him per game but IMO total waste of a shirt in our predicament.
  22. I'll repeat what I said earlier. Jones, Smith and Wilson are NOT players I want in my team to fight to stay in Division 1. We'll see what selection DM comes up with Tuesday but if any of those 3 are in then we are doomed. Simple.
