Just heard Flitcroft is interviewing Ryan Burge

People say Carol is being hoodwinked by DF, why? Surely she can call upon Rudgies knowledge and experience to judge whether DF is failing. JR has vastly more experience and success than DF can ever wish for.
Time for some transparency from DF or the Shanahans over who is calling the shots. I understand everything on the field of play was DF’s responsibility, so why is he still there.

Understand fully not paying over the odds in January, but as a few have said, surely even a young championship / premier striker would provide cover. Particularly playing two games a week we need bodies.
There again, if not are better than Dipeta it is an opportunity for him to step up to the plate.

You have to spend money for that to work. Peterbrough spend millions to make millions.
A bit like Rudgie did

I like the optimism, but this idea we were “scouted” because of our abilities as a club that can nurture talent is a load of bull that Flitcroft has spun us for. I hope it works, but I will take his ability to talk well with a huge pinch of salt.
Man United currently have numerous players on loan at a range of clubs as follows:
44MF ENGDan Gore (at Port Vale)[231
]48DF ENGWill Fish (at Hibernian)[232
]52FW ENGJoe Hugill (at Burton Albion)[
233]66DF ENGRhys Bennett (at Stockport County)[234
]68MF POLMaxi Oyedele (at Forest Green Rovers)[235]
Liverpool
28FW PORFábio Carvalho (at Hull City until 30 June 2024)[149]
45GK BRAMarcelo Pitaluga (at St Patrick's Athletic until 30 November 2024)[150
]46DF ENGRhys Williams (at Port Vale until 30 June 2024)[151]
72DF NEDSepp van den Berg (at Mainz 05until 30 June 2024)[152]
Not really the mega coup being touted about. Are all these other clubs, Burton, Forest Green, Stockport all specially selected? In fact, all of his peers are on loan at a level below or equal to us. So the idea we have become a pull for a load of Championship level youngsters isn’t true. They are u23 players in teams we often stuff in paint point games.
There is no special “scouting magic” that has made us more appealing. We used to get players in from Nottingham Forest quite often under Askey in league 2, it just happens that now we are in league 1, the youngsters can now come from the Prem.
The only reason any Prem team would be keen to loan their youth players is for games. The reason we can offer them guaranteed football is because we have a glaring shortage of quality in first team areas as we have not bought our own guys in.
Anything else is just Flitcroft fairy tales and decent PR spin. I admit we are far better at that these days.
The glass is either half full or half empty, depends on your mindset

Manchester United have agreed to send Dan Gore on loan to League One side Port Vale for the remainder of the season. The 19-year-old is eager to experience his first proper taste of professional football, with his exit set to be formalised sometime early next week.
The Manchester Evening News understands there was extensive loan interest shown in Gore this month, but Port Vale have offered the best assurances of regular football at a competitive level for the remainder of the campaign.

The only thing Flitcroft is capable of pulling off is himself. Remember he spent the whole summer chasing Loft.
So Alfie, Ollie & Chissy just stopped by off the M6 to see if there was any jobs going. Unbelievable. 🙈

You'd assume he's off to the championship with assurances he'll get plenty of game time.
Re-unite with his U-20 coach, now manager at Plymouth, who have also just lost their previous loan players.

Very good player but the problem is he is rarely fit, we have been crying out for a good striker who can play consistently and failed miserably in the last 2 seasons. As good a player Wilson is we cannot rely on him.
Yes you are right, we will do far better with Loft, Ikpeazu and a young academy graduate.
I gather Willo’s deal suits both parties and I for one would be glad of his experience to be passed on to Dipepa and others.
We can’t afford what all fans are crying out for, so either find the cash or manage what we have. Whether AC is the man to manage what he has been dealt is to be debated

Another striker about to be recalled is Joe Taylor at Colchester on loan from Luton,so not sure if they are selling him or looking to loan him out higher up now.
A Colleague of mine, who lives in Hertfordshire, reckons Luton have been approached by a league1 team and so they have terminated the lone with Colchester. Now don’t go putting 2 & 2 together or you may be disappointed.

Rooney confirmed sacked. Big names mean nothing.

Only time will tell if it was the right team I personally think he as gone with bar Smith the best side he could play .
Let's hope defence do there jobs properly this evening .
All the players benched deserve be .
I'd rather see a team running hard Lomax and Shorrock deserve there place and anythings better than going with same old .
Let's hope we get the win .
Enjoy the game fellow Valiants
For gods sake give it a rest, you are like a broken record player. Any chance of you being dropped, your views are well past it.

Arguably our two best creative midfielders out for weeks and you wonder why we were at sixes and sevens. Thankfully the transfer window is around the corner, let’s hope we can find another Ollie / Alfie to bring in short term.
For those knocking Wilson’s contribution, he was in the right place at the right time, that’s what a striker should do.

Sounded shocking on the radio!
Must be some shocking sides in League 1 if we're 15th.
However, glad to get a point. Glad to get Wilson back.
Side note: Crosby said Ojo out for a number of weeks but I don't know what to believe from Crosby anymore. Ojo'll probably be playing on Tuesday????
At one point in the Boro game he clutched the back of his leg, I feared then maybe a hamstring. I hoped going off then it could be managed, Maybe not 😢

We could do with signing Lady Luck in January, if she had been about yesterday we could easily have scored 5 / 6
-
Just for the record, neither Flitcroft nor Carol made those substitutions. At 60 minutes everybody was celebrating a super performance, then Crosby has a complete brain fog.
