Just some some players with a bit of backbone would be a start or at least a captain who can take control once things start falling apart on the pitch. As soon as the opposition get a goal back mid/late in the second half we crumble. Players go missing, and the opposition dominate. It’s so predictable. I don’t even want to look at how many points we lost from winning/drawing positions this season.

The “League Two community club of the year” title. Then the “National League community club of the year” title the season after

Can we ever manage to do the second half of anything right. Pretty much every week we lose having being in a decent position at half time. And both this season and last we were in a decent position at Christmas time and throw it away in the second half of the season. Ironically all that saved us last season was MK Dons making a mess of their second half against Barnsley -

Have the players’ wives said that we’re relegated yet or are we still in with a shout of staying up? -

Reading get one back. Come on Burton manager take your best striker off and put another midfielder on, leaving the large lumbering striker up front on their own. Then tell them to sit back and defend -

The higher up the league pyramid we are, the better it will be for the Burslem “community”. Bigger teams need more employees - match day and full time. Higher attendances means more customers for pubs/takeways/corner shops on a match day. I remember reading an article on the negative effect West Ham leaving Upton Park had on those sorts of businesses in the area. Think of it that way Carol. -
Should all Premier League teams get a two goal head start against lower league teams to ensure more bigger teams get into the latter rounds to improve viewing figures around the world? Also upsets against lower league teams will make Premier League teams look weak, which will only harm the image of the Premier League Maybe do it on a sliding scale while they’re at it, so teams higher up the league get a bigger head start. Pricks

£182 for Salford? They must be funded entirely by their televised FA Cup matches every season

Steve Evans ditching Stevenage and going back to Rotherham. The number of teams he’s managed must be higher than his BMI

We need to turn this ship around. In 2010, Scunthorpe we so “Championship ready” that they were in the Championship and now they’re in the National League North, 8 points behind the champions. I’m sure they had a very good youth academy and doing wonders for the town back in 2010

Wikipedia says his win percentages are 48% (47 matches) at WBA, 45% (78 matches) at Doncaster and 51% (129 matches at Wednesday Then 13.04% (23 matches) at Huddersfield and 13.33% (10 matches with us). That doesn’t account for when he left/joined teams, what the squad was like, their position before/after he was there. But it looks like he needs time to put together his own team. There has been a dramatic drop in his winning percentages since he took over at two weak, badly-run teams and only had less than half a season to turn anything around. You surely don’t turn clueless and inept since June 2023 when he left Wednesday so there must be a trend somewhere. He can’t be out of his depth, managing at too high a level at Vale/Huddersfield as Huddersfield were lower level Championship and we are lower level League One - so Wednesday in his era were mid way between the two.

I can’t believe I paused changing my baby’s dirty nappy to check the score. Oh look a late winner for the away team… Sorry kiddie, where were we? -

Come on Vale please 🥹 It’s the hope that kills you -
Of <ovf censored> course… You could write the script. At least we held out longer than this against Fleetwood. Still time for Exeter to get another few goals now
-
Come on Stevenage! I’ve always been a fan of yours Steve Evans - especially the way you graciously accept defeats

That 0-7 pasting on opening day is costing us dearly

Stoke got a draw though so not results went our way 😁

Hopefully that were above the “dotted line” will give everyone (players included) a bit of a morale boost. We’re not totally doomed yet

Looks like Burton, Cheltenham and Cambridge are getting battered according to BBC Sport stats. Come on Vale!!!

Thank god Flitcroft has gone. I’m sure he’d be getting all the praise for this one otherwise - youth academy graduate, England, scoring goals, Prem teams (allegedly) interested. He’d be unsackable
-
I just hope he isn’t “still going, Dipepa” and has another half of football in him. Could be four goals in four games for him
-
It’s either an almighty coincidence, or we seem to be playing much better now Flitcroft has gone. Really positive football. And not just two clean sheets - but clean sheets where the opponents have hardly been allowed a decent shot on goal. I’m interested to know how far did his tentacles actually reach - and what was just a bit of a myth? Did he essentially decide on the tactics (the starting 11?). Moore’s interviews? (Which sound a bit less like the generic dour interviews Crosby used to give - or is that just because we’re winning) Or was he just one of those morale-sucking big bosses who wander around the office all day, ruling over the place, who everyone is slightly fearful of? And now he’s gone it’s like a whole new workplace. Interesting to me anyway….
