It is obvious from the open letter that Carol values DF and no way is she sacking him. For this season at least the only way DF leaves is by his own resignation.
What we do have is an owner who has put a hell of a lot of money into the Vale and still does. The best owner we have had in many a year (no decades). We must not alienate Carol from us. Look at Sheffield Wednesday and the mess they are in with the owner and fans or Reading to that matter.
This season is now 18 games of cup finals and tin hats. 54 points are still to play for. United we stand divided we fall.
We need an experienced manager who motivates the players we have got to at least have pride in the shirt, play for the fans and the club and move us out of relegation. A tall order yes - but until we are mathematically down we are not relegated.
Not how we all envisaged the season going but that is football. It’s either L1 or L2 next season.
This will be the most important and crucial manager appointment in Carols ownership to date. Let’s hope DF gets it right for all of us.
Roll on Saturday against a very good side that knows how to win.
AC has gone, DF is going no where, we’ve read a letter which had some parts most don’t like and some parts that some do like and to we need a new manager. Typical Vale it’s not a season without drama.

I'd agree. I can see why you'd need a good, experienced club secretary to manage transfers, contracts all the other EFL requirements (i.e. the admin side) especially if the owners don't have that specialist knowledge. But there's no need for a DoF and presumably if they removed the role a significant wage saving too.
I agree also - we did have a very good and well respected CEO till DF appeared on the scene - not been the same since Colin left.

We need experience end of and unfortunately you need to pay for experience.
Maybe the real reason behind the January transfer window. DF edging his bets as they say (yet again).

Has been mentioned Duff - out of work so no compensation to pay, preferred formation 3-5-2.
Did well for Cheltenham and Barnsley - not so good at Swansea but let’s face it as a manager you will get sacked one day.

The one ting we needed and it was obvious to see was a striker. Happy with the lads that have come in and hopefully they will make a massive difference. BUT you cant win games unless you put it in the onion bag, makes me wonder what does the DoF and the management were looking for.
Will be a very interesting final 1/2 of the season for all.

We have rode our luck these last two seasons and sometimes your luck just runs out. Poor transfer windows will cost you in the end.

Don't think we will get anyone else in - permanent or loan or new manager - financial maybe? Saving for next season hopefully in L1 or re-building for L2.
Now I've said it watch 3 or 4 in by 11:00 pm tomorrow 😆

Well just goes to show I know Jack s**t about football 😂.
I do know supporting the Vale is one hell of a roller coaster.
Well done to the lads and AC tonight - just please keep it up

Crosby needs to go - tactics? He doesn’t know the word. You need to shoot to get a goal no this pass back side to side c@@p.
We can not go and waste another January transfer window.
This is dire football from a coach clearly out of his depth.

Said a few weeks ago by January we could be out of all 3 cups and in the relegation zone. Nothing has changed my mind if anything reinforced it.
Worst thing is get rid of AC we pay compensation so less January transfer fund for anybody new.
Worrying times do we stick or twist as they say on the manager both a double edged sword with the prospect of L2 next season a possibility on both.

Questions have to be asked now surely?
Carol you need to ask both AC and DF what the hell are they doing.
Can’t go on like this - poor management, poor recruitment or both.

All I want is a performance worthy of the shirt - win lose or draw.
first option is preferable
