  1. I assume he meant that flitcroft hadn't had the tools to do his job? Ie, money Not saying I agree with that, just my interpretation of the post btw
  2. Same here, was just about to post exactly the same.. just cba to watch it, too depressing/upsetting
  3. Surely hardly anyone will go to this match in the circumstances? Watch it on ifollow, at least the vale get some cash then. I think a completely empty away end sends a message to the efl. And b4 someone comments about supporting the team, big away followings haven't helped in the slightest recently. Might send a message to others at the same time?
  4. Even RZ would surely have to admit that Clark has done an amazing job at Cheltenham, and in L1. Wouldn't he?
  5. Is that us naked, or you. Just asking for a friend
  6. My problems with the letter are, A, I don't like being lectured/ told off, " it has to stop" B, Carol listed all these objectives, a tick b tick etc, but it's all with hindsight. Were these so called objectives stated anywhere beforehand? C, nowhere does she comment on all of the problems. League position, threadbare squad, no strikers, etc etc D, I would have thought a key objective would be to keep us in L1 myself, especially after " championship ready" followed by " L1 steady" statements previously. E, surely some comments had to be made re the January transfer window? At a forum it was stated that we needed strikers in January, they didn't arrive, despite our lead striker then being sidelined for 12 weeks. Why FGS? Other teams signed them. Even if there is no money, surely a couple of PL kids could have come in? F, why dud a DOF with over 300 games experience not take charge on Tuesday after Dunn left, ( and indeed why did Dunn go, usually the manager plus assistant go and the coach takes temporary charge ), but threw the academy coaches under the bus. No presser today I notice. Plus refusing to speak to RS now I want to make it clear that I am definitely not anti Carol. For me most of the infrastructure spends have been essential. The pitch just had to be done, managers were complaining about it even after wins. Scoreboard, interest free loan, so monthly repayments, offset by advertising revenue. Fan zone, cant see how that isn't a revenue earner. RP toilets issue, covered many times and logical. Hamil toilet issue, unfortunate that it's come at the same time, but very short term and being addressed. Campus, seems a very long term project to me, hopefully very little spent so far. Training zones, maybe we have moved too fast? For me the problems started last January. In late December the club were talking of " going for it". It being the play offs ( I think we were about 9th at the time). Clearly there was a major policy shift shortly afterwards. I could understand pulling back, I didn't think we stood much chance of reaching them and next to no chance of being promoted. But it lead to an almighty scare. I can't believe that we have repeated it from a much poorer league position. Sadly I cannot see where the goals to save us are going to come from. Hope to God I'm wrong. Sorry for the late night, wine fuelled rant. Feel better now though, lol
  7. My take, they met Monday am, decided to sack the manager and his assistant, assuming that Dunn would become the caretaker, and he told them to stuff it. At which point DF just had to take charge. To throw the academy boys under the bus is just terrible.
  8. Benning, Harrison and Hall, don't know how or why we let those leave without adequate replacements in first. And that's just 3 I can think of right now. Nice little port vale again
  9. Come on mate, don't sit on the fence, tell us what you really think, lol. For what it's worth, I totally agree.
  10. Talking of the fan zone, it seemed very sparsely populated on Saturday fir a decent day. No queue at all for the beer First time I've noticed that
  11. Very worrying how rivals have strengthened. Nothing from us, looks like late night loan signings again. If they don't come off, we are in doo doo. Massive game Saturday now. Plenty of winnable games to come at home, but charitable, nice port vale, and the lack of striker goals is very worrying. Did I read that DF and CS aren't considering relegation? Well I am for sure. I get we need to be sustainable, and I get it's not my money, but a little investment, in the team now, could make them a million over 12 months, imo.
  12. Carlisle signed jack diamond as well. Really going for it
  13. Lol, looks like everyone wants to be me. You would probably have put what I think and got me banned 😆 mind you, if I ever do lose it, I will just tell rob, I was framed, it was all lance Tony, lol
  14. Iv.e seen it on the tele. never noticed it b4 the comments on here, but definatley seen it a few times since. I presume it's to give the strickers chance to get up the pitch and launch an immediate attack
  15. 10 days Devine. Window shuts 11.00 on February 1st I think. Vtid, you behave yourself if you're on as me, lol. I came on and last night's posts were showing as 2 minutes ago, with no new posts. Weird. Ps, just seen robs post, a glitch
  16. And Telford on the bench. Both came on and did nowt. Both supposed targets of ours in the past.
  17. How many managers have FGR had this season? Didn't they start with a female manager ( virtue signalling), quietly and quickly sidelined her. Someone else, then Deeney ( always looked a stupid move that one, but it ticked another box I suppose). Now he's gone. Have I missed anyone? They could set a new record here, outdoing Watford, lol. Anyone know what the record is for the number of manager's in 1 season?
  18. You would like to think so, but I thought that when we allowed Connor Hall to leave. Hope it's not nice port vale again
  19. I read they gave him a contract extension in November, lol. 2 and a half months later, sack him. Contract til june 2026. Wow
  20. When you look at the ridiculous amount of points we have lost to bottom teams, we should be nowhere near the bottom really. We really need a good window as the guys have been ripped out of our midfield. DC doing an amazing job at Cheltenham, whether they can keep it up remains to be seen
