  1. Well….that’s it for the automatics, need to regroup now and focus our efforts on the playoffs, rest a couple of players if necessary, whilst we are hurting at the moment the last two results have not defined our season, if anybody had offered us a playoff position last August we would have snapped there hand off…..

There should be mate but not many at all. There's limited availability in the Railway Paddock which will probably be sold out before Monday but I'd imagine there would be quite a few tickets left in the Bycars. However, so far ticket sales there have been pretty healthy in comparison to other games this season.

If you want to make sure you get a ticket before Monday, you can use the club's ticket website to buy a ticket in advance. This would mean you would either have to print your ticket or have it on your phone to scan at the turnstile. Here is the link for the club's ticket website:

I use this service mate, very easy to use, print off or just open up the email they send you and it gets scanned at the turnstile…..

A little before my time, but some of the people that sit near me always say that Ronnie Jepson was the best vale striker never to score a goal.

Decent player for the Vale and unlucky not to score, Rudgie sold him to Preston, (which went to finance to Robin Van der Laan transfer) and he scored a hat trick on his debut!

  5. Bit of a juxtaposition last night, I’m away in the moment so was relying on my Flashscore app, 94 mins on Saturday felt like a win, same time last night felt like a defeat…. I realistically think the play offs are slipping away but football is a funny old game, plenty of points to play for… but for the majority of the last 4 seasons we have been scrapping at the other end of the table league 2 has been very competitive this season with 8-9 teams with a realistic chance of promotion and doesn’t look like getting any easier next season, but I will still be making my pilgrimage when I can…. VTID.

  6. If Carlsberg did evenings at the football……. It started with the first tie, sadly I was working but my father went, I was constantly ringing home to get updates and sneaking out to the car to get snippets of commentary, losing 2-1…. On the phone to my mum at home, radio Stoke on in the background….suddenly it literally exploded into a full on George Andrew’s moment, Bogie had scored and salvaged a replay…..

What followed at Vale Park was simply the best evening I have ever witnessed at a football ground, one particular moment which sticks in the mind was at half time I was stood up from my seat in the Bycars and looked around, barely a yellow seat to be seen in the entire stadium….fantastic performance by every player and Big Nev Southall turned to face the Bycars at the end of the game and applauded the fans…..simply wonderful
