  1. I'll take a 0-0 at HT. All huff and puff, little skill from either team.
  2. Que sera sera, whatever will be will be.......I hope me spelling is right, I know me grammar isn't.
  3. I've become immune to results this season, what will be will be. Just wanna see a Vale goal, something to cheer.
  4. I have no doubt the "Delegation" of fans who met with Carol et al have Vale and a successful club at heart. My only concern is this sort of thing/event could spiral out of control if "Demands" are not met. Carol is the boss, the leader, I anticipate she will deal with the recruitment issue in a timely manner. For me "Any level of hostility" to members of her family is a big no, no and is likely to lead to undesired outcomes and that's not to say criticism shouldn't be levied where it's fair. Carol knows recruitment has not been good, she knows the reasons why and at the moment I have every faith she will put it right. However, fans have to leave some room open that Flitcroft may not go within their perceived timeframes.
  5. Listen to the words BJ, every body knows the words and sings them, the whole moment sends shivers down my spine 3000 miles away every home game. backward step to change it. Burslem doesn't have the weather and Vale Park doesn't have enough young supporters to do something like 'Sandstorm" at South Carolina University for the Gamecocks, which is where one of my kids went to College.
  6. Michael Brown managed to sign Chis Eagles for the second half of that season with his Prem Lge feet and footballing brain and he nearly single handedly kept us up, Bikey was an excellent acquisition also. Brown lost Alnwick, Grant and Alex Jones just before the Jan transfer window closed and Tom Anderson earlier, if just one of the first 3 had stayed Vale may have just survived. I can remember been hacked off the season after as Eagles opted to go and join Owen Coyle at Ross County, Tom Pope had been re-signed by Brown and the mouthwatering prospect of Eagles providing the crosses for Tom Pope didn't happen.
  7. I agree with most of that HV but I admit I've left a tiny little space that DF may not go.......but I will always "go".
  8. Carol is not running the club like a clockwork robotic corporation, just the opposite although she is trying to run it more professionally than previous owners. Fans usually have a much more emotional attachment (For whatever reasons) and hence loyalty to a football club than they do to any other business, brand or product.
  9. Assuming Vale are gonna be in Lge 2, IMHO the squad needs to be based around experienced, good Lge 1/2 pro's who will form the bulk of the 1st team, complemented by the young lads. But most of all Vale need a couple of natural goal scoring strikers at least to score the goals if we are to win/contend for promo. The same mistakes regarding recruitment of strikers cannot happen again
  10. Many people are concerned where this may go. Football is full of the vote of confidence from the chairperson then the axe soon after, we'd all prefer sooner rather than later but it may not happen at all. Weren't you a poster who incessantly banged on about "Trust the process", apologies if it was someone with a similar user name.
  11. Excellent idea with the poll Emile. I want The Shanahans to stay as owners of PVFC and I would make the following request. Any "delegation" of fans that meets with the owners to discuss the "Flitcroft out" situation should think things through beforehand, be very careful with choice of words and who they're directed at. There were not enough bad words to say to Smurthwaite et al but Carol deserves respect and appreciation, whatever happens.
  12. Those comments could be aimed at the Coates family down the road and probably most if not the vast majority of owners of a football club in the UK. How many owners of any sizeable private business could claim to know the inside and outside of that business, I doubt many.
  13. And that's exactly why Vale should remain with the Shanahans until they decide to sell up and/or a buyer with demonstrably sufficient money, with Vale at heart comes along. A transition process planned and controlled. No more Smurthwaites, no more Deakins et al, no more bidders owning a water park and no more fake hedge funds, no more money in bags.
  14. The fans are customers/consumers. I hope we don't have to see how many fans have the money and/or the desire or the wherewithal to buy/own the Vale.
  15. Looking at the table and recent performances/form it's hard to make a case for anything other than relegation. The timing of any decision on Flitcroft will be determined by the club and not when fans demand it.
  16. Probably is but not now, no doubt she will do so at some time
  17. How do you know what she really feels and what may be being planned. Football is full of statements of support but then the axe falls.
  18. It's one of her reports that's not performed.
  19. KR, I have no tolerance level when it comes to PVFC although I obviously want to see the club do as well as possible. National League or below I will always follow the Vale, Vale is in my blood, it's part of me. I've been a Vale fan for over 62 years, unfortunately during my life I've only helped other people make the big money some of which could have been used to help the Vale.
  20. It will be if Carol puts the club up for sale.
  21. You shouldn't need to ask that question but the recruitment has to be right for next season. I will be on iFollow to watch it even if you've lost interest.
  22. What do you expect, her come out and undermine him. Carol will have more idea than the fans of why the recruitment has been poor, it may not be all on Flitcroft and I'm not standing up for Flitcroft in any way. But the Fans wanting Carol out just to get Flitcroft out is PVFC shooting itself in the foot. It was only 2 years ago when fans were screaming "trust the process" and Carol/Flitcroft got us promoted, I anticipate even hope Flitcroft will be gone by the end of June just for a fresh start but Carol has to stay even if he doesn't go.
  23. The problem is the players on the pitch are not good enough. Carol employs Flitcroft to get the players on the pitch and the product right but for what ever reasons it's gone wrong. If you want the club plunged into more chaos and likely out of the Football league then call or keep calling for the Shanahans to go, such a sentiment is gathering traction on OVF but IMHO it would be a disaster.
  24. It won't improve this season, as far as I'm concerned we're down barring a miracle, it has to improve next season or Vale will be in trouble again. What evidence do you have for making a statement like "The fans are taken for granted as are St sales", it doesn't help and is unfounded, ffs the club met with the fans recently. I anticipate Flitcroft will be gone by the end of June.
