  1. His words in the circumstance he quoted them are irrelevant to our current situation. Unless of course you think we are still at war with Germany??
  2. Quoting Churchill, a man who was in favour of a United States of Europe, is not the most sensible thing for a Brexiteer to do this evening.
  3. The last supper. Nice Italian prosecco to get started. Baked vacheran with potatoes as a fondue/raclette together with a mix of prosciutto and salamis Nice Saint George St Emillion to wash it down Thank you Europe 👍 Tomorrow it’s fish finger sandwiches and baked beans
  4. That's because Brexit is a process, not an event.
  5. A speech at a Turning Point USA student action summit in Florida. Not sure why that turns his inane ramblings into coherent speech?
  6. I was wondering why you ignored this, Paul?
  7. And here, ladies and gentlemen, we have the leader of the free world.

  9. I’m just off to find a brick wall to bang my head against.
  10. So he just happened to mention the Bidens by accident and his reason for the phone call was just because Zelensky is a good friend? I bet you still believe in Santa Claus.
  11. Are you saying that it was OK for Trump to ask Zelensky to dish the dirt on the Bidens because he didn't ask for it as a quid pro quo? For what other reason could he want dirt on the Bidens other than for his own political gain?
  12. " The other thing, There's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it... It sounds horrible to me. " Is this not the President asking Zelenskyy to dish the dirt on the Biden family? Why would he do that if not for political motives.
  13. So is the issue not whether or not Trump asked for Ukrainian help in dissing a political rival - which he clearly did - but whether he tried to bribe them to do so? Asking for the President of another country to help you undermine a political opponent is OK as long as you don't offer anything in return?? Do the American public really think that is acceptable??
  14. So is there “absolutely no evidence” or is there some evidence but it’s “flimsy”? I’m confused.
  15. You remind me of the philosphers who looked through Galileo's telescopic with their eyes closed and said they could see no evidence to support his theories.
  16. I watched that but only because Rufus Sewell was in it!
  17. Did any of you watch "Cold Call" on Channel 5? Bloody frightening!
  18. There is another thread on here called "Inspirational Women". Dr Fiona Hill should be top of the list. She is amazing.
  19. But I’m not interested in the Bidens. And what I’m trying to say is that if you are criticising them for dodgy behaviour then surely you must think Trump is equally guilty of being bent as a nine bob note? And Trump, not the Bidens, is the face of your country. It’s this whataboutery that I hate. If someone criticised Trump you say yes but what about the Clintons, what about the Bidens? Irrelevant, it’s Trump we are discussing and you cannot excuse his behaviour by saying yes but he/she was doing the same. You can’t justify the appalling dishonesty and corruption by the so-called leader of the free world by saying that others are just as bad.
  20. So is your reasoning that because the Bidens are bent then Trump must be straight and honest?
  21. https://fortune.com/2019/06/03/stock-market-trump-obama-sp-500/ "When it comes to talking himself up, Trump in particular has compared himself to Barack Obama. So, how do the two presidents measure up in terms of growth in major indexes, measured between their inauguration and May 31 of their third year in office? The short answer is that Trump has quite a way to go. Under Obama, the S&P 500 grew by 56.4%. The Dow Jones Industrials Average was up 50.6% and the Nasdaq, 92.9%. The numbers under Trump were 21.4% for the S&P 500, 25.2% for the Dow, and 34.2% for Nasdaq." Are these silly, childish figures as well??
  22. How about locking up Clinton? How much of the wall has he built? Have all Muslims been banned from entering the country? Has he rebuilt the countries infrastructure or even started it? Has he left NATO? Has he reintroduced torture?
