  1. Forty seven year old Danny Willams famous for knocking out a very past it Mike Tyson in 2004 is main eventing a card on Boxnation against a forty year old ex MMA fighter. 2020 is weird
  2. Easy win for Dubious tonight. Can he see him steamrolling Joyce in October then hopefully can step up and fight at a higher level
  3. Not surprised the number has risen round stoke. I've avoided the pubs round my area for a while now. After seeing several people not washing their hands and when being asked why , the answer is "only effects the old people" or "it's just the flu" Common sense is a dead trait round Stoke.
  4. Got a headache reading that. Flashbacks to when Norman attempted to write a statement of mush
  5. Wow was not expecting that. Heavyweight boxing at it's best. All it takes is one punch Fair play to Povetkin
  6. Good night of Boxing again. I can see Whyte beating povetkin via KO but should be a good slugfest from both fighters. Really looking forward to seeing the Katie Taylor fight.
  7. Don't know if this one can be considered as a massive upset as I can't really remember much about it. But I remember everyone being shocked when Greece won the 2004 euro , especially beating the home nation Portugal in the final.
  8. True but Chasetown being the lowest team to reach the third round at the time definitely made it in the history books. Luke Rogers two penalties misses still gives me anxiety whenever the vale get rewarded a penalty to this day.
  9. Disagree with you about the Fury one. The odds at the time were very much on Klitschko to win , with many pundits and ex boxers writing Fury off way before the fight started. Many boxing publishers like Ring magazine and Boxing monthly have claimed this be one of the biggest shockers in the last ten years. Whilst Fury was undefeated no one expected him to win that night.
  10. Boxing -Fury beating klitschko and Ruiz beating Joshua Football - Oldham beating Liverpool in the fa cup and Bradford hammering Chelsea two seasons after. I hate to bring this one up as it still haunts me to this day but Chasetown beating us in the FA cup.
  11. Celtic and Aberdeen both games cancelled due to rule breaking. Linfield also have had their champions league qualifier called off. Be interesting to see if this happens when the EFL starts up.
  12. Fully recommend the Egginton-cheeseman fight from last Saturday. Fight of the year for me and a decent undercard too. Also good to see local boxer Nathan Heaney In the top 12 British Middleweight division.
  13. Aberdeen have gone back into lockdown. https://www.google.com/amp/s/news.sky.com/story/amp/coronavirus-lockdown-to-be-reimposed-in-aberdeen-after-spike-in-cases-12042945
  14. Kewell ? Oldham must be desperate. How long did he last at Notts county ? Ten weeks or something. His post match interview after we played them still makes me laugh. Guy is a grade A plonker
  15. Good to see boxing back on BT. Strange with no crowd. Easy test for Joe Joyce, can't see him beating Dubois at all though. August is gonna be very interesting with all the Matchroom events coming up.
  16. Nigel Pearson sacked by Watford. Madness https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.skysports.com/amp/football/news/11686/12031917/nigel-pearson-sacked-by-watford-with-two-premier-league-games-remaining
  17. So Jarrell Miller banned again ! That's his career done now in my opinion. Carlos Takam take his place next Thursday which is the first fight since the pandemic started I believe? Matchroom have also announced 3 nights of boxing across August with whyte vs povetkin being one of them. Should be interesting seeing it in Eddie's backgarden. With UFC I have personally enjoyed the no fans as you can here the corner team and the fights have been fantastic
  18. Barrow Manager Ian Evatt has left and is the new manager at Bolton. Gonna be a massive challenge for him there.
  19. Very true. The contracts haven't been signed yet I believe which makes me think this still might not happen due to frank Warren and eddie hearn greed. With it being a two fight deal I wonder if the agreement will be sky have one and BT have the second one. If wilder loses, that's him done in my opinion. Although I can see Joshua and Fury both finishing up in the next two years and going onto other projects which will leave the heavyweight division lacking of any big stars until Dubois is ready
  20. Joshua-Fury has been agreed for a two fight deal next year. I wonder if they will do it in Wembley or saudi Arabia
  21. Will be interesting to see how he does , especially in the stacked and competitive middleweight division. I think Scott Lawton was the last boxer from Stoke to get a big fight on telly facing Amir Khan.
  22. Missouri Governor allowing live events to return on Monday with social distancing measures. Huge mistake in my opinion https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.billboard.com/amp/articles/business/9368428/missouri-concerts-resume-may-4-coronavirus
  23. Local Fighter Nathan Heaney has been signed By Frank Warren . Hes currently 10-0 , seems a nice lad and is very passionate about the stoke area. Shame hes a stoke fan but well done to the lad.
  24. I've started watching Black Mirror again. Fantastic series with some quite dark episodes. For the Boxing fans , there is a Katie Taylor documentary on netflix which has fantastic reviews and has been critically acclaimed by many.
