Right decision, but 12 months too late.

I took the wife out for lunch yesterday and then went around Ikea for an hour or so. It was much less stressful than watching us lose again with barely a wimper. It's possible that I wont bother again this season.

PVFC Meet delegation of fans regarding current concerns
mikey replied to Black & Gold Group's topic in Port Vale present
It basically says we've listened but that's it. I've never felt less connected with the club than this season. -
Not renewing as it stands. I feel very distant from the club under the current set up, and I don't enjoy anything about the football experience at VP these days. I took the wife out for coffee and waffles today and barely thought about the football.

I think I'm done for this season. It's been awful and two people are responsible. Flitcroft is robbing a wage, and I'm sorry to say this, but CS has totally lost her way. The main point of the club is to try to have a successful team and we couldn't be further from that if we tried. If next season starts with the same regime running the show then I'm off to Congleton or similar.

Not really, she might use the funds to set up a charity. She clearly loves that side of things and it's a good use for her windfall.

To me this sounds like Carol is retiring, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the sale of the club announced sooner or later. You could hardly blame her.

Happy for the owners to stay, although I would love to see some external investment come in, but selling up is only an option if someone wants to buy. The bigger problem right now is the DoF. I'm staggered that we are going into another game relying on the same powderpuff attack.

Unlikely to renew unless big changes happen. I am totally fed up with having my Saturdays ruined by the current regime and the awful football on offer.

If Reading have a weak point it's their keeper. He looked dreadful against Portsmouth, but will we have anyone who can get a shot on target?

Cheltenham (A) match thread - 17th Feb
mikey replied to Osh's topic in Travel & tickets for Vale games
To give a poor Cheltenham side 6 points tells you all you need to know about which league we will be playing in next season. I bet Walsall are already delighted with their 6 points gained from us. If Flitcrofts still here I'm not sure I'll be bothering. -
About as good an appointment as we could hope for, but realistically we still have a wafer thin squad. I hope he can bring a couple of bodies in quickly especially a forward.

My money is on Bonner

unfortunately Im starting to think the same thing. This squad is going to need a massive rebuild in L2 for next season and I dont want Flitcroft overseeing it.
-
I would much rather they took a few days and actually interview a handful of suitable candidates this time.
-
Totally ignores the likelihood that we are getting relegated after just 2 seasons from a very weak league and the football and entertainment are absolutely awful.

It has to be Ainsworth, but would he come? Duff would be a good choice too.
-
Not making a change is as good as accepting relegation
-
If the players can't be bothered to turn up then neither can I. Giving this one a miss.
-
Direct of football? He couldn't direct traffic

There is time to get a better manager in, but who would come? The squad is seriously lacking in quality and reliant on youth team players. And if you are relying on Loft to score you will be very disappointed.

No need for insults

League 2 manager at best, league 2 recruitment at best........guess where we are heading?
