  1. Can’t wait to renew that great rivalry with, errr, Harrogate next year 🫣
  2. I don’t get the substitution if I’m honest. No need to worry Burton fans, we’re lovey-dovey Port Vale and only too happy to help out ❤️
  3. Nah. We don’t get many injuries. Maybe his car broke down en route???
  4. Don’t tell me….. injured warming up by any chance??
  5. Can’t wait to watch him tearing it up in L2 next year….🤔
  6. 180 minutes??? What about the other 3,960 minutes we’ve had to ensure this season. If your definition of having pride in the shirt is the players running round like they give a sh!t for the final 180 minutes of the season then congratulations, you’ve got the club you deserve.
  7. I admire your optimism but you are, I’m afraid to say, living in cloud cuckoo land. There’s every chance it could be another Barnsley. Any team who has anything remotely impersonating a decent striker can and invariably does score against us. And it’s not as if we’ve got a fantastic record there. We even tried our best to cock up our last win there…. It’s incredible to think you can have a ‘nervous’ last 20 mins at 6-1 up. But hey, that’s what comes with following the Vale. I’ll stick my neck out and say 5-0. First goal within the first 10 mins, and at least two coming from corners. I’ll check at 4.55. Enjoy.
  8. The worst thing is that the result really didn’t surprise me. For all the huff and puff there was no structure to anything we did.l, just hoping for something to drop. Did Uche or Loft actually win anything tonight vs their CB’s?? I think not. Both looked like they belonged in the Ansells League. Utter gross.
  9. Neither Loft nor Uche are professional footballers. Absolutely crap, both of them.
  10. Relentless pressure???? We never at any point looked like we might get a shot off.
  11. Probably the same person who told Carol is was a good idea to pay him £3k a week.
  12. It’s just so easy for them. I honestly can’t watch anymore of this. Literally everything we do we make look hard work.
  13. This is the worst Vale side I’ve seen. Just a collection of individuals with no structure or method of play, ability to beat a man or pace.
  14. Absolutely shocking defending. We are utterly clueless.
  15. I get that Moore hasn’t exactly covered himself in glory over the last two games, but one look at that bench just about says it all really. I was bloody furious coming away on Saturday (hence not going tonight) and yes, I get he knew what he was taking on, but even Pep Guardiola with Xabi Alonso as his assistant would struggle to get points from that. Nice one Flickers 🤡
  16. I thought the first half was ok, I never really thought “we were superb” as some were making out. I commented during the half that our defending from corners was comical…. absolute panic stations every time the ball came into the box. Irrespective of how the game played out we were always going to concede off a set-play. I guarantee we will next week at Bolton. Ripley, who made a couple of decent saves today, is unfortunately also a problem for us. He fancies himself as a Manuel Neuer but in reality is more Manuel from Fawlty Towers. He played Debrah into trouble at least twice in the 1st half and consequently he became a nervous wreck anytime the ball came near him and had a really poor game for me. We huffed and puffed and were committed in tackles without really playing with any particular structure which, I felt, made creating chances seem really hard work. The goal was a surprise and it was always going to be a set piece or good strike, and it was a bit of both. The second owed to Dipepa’s tenacity although from the Hamil it looked like the keeper really ought to have down much better. Second half was really one way traffic from the word go, with Ripley pulling off a good save virtually straight from kick-off. Yes their first was a bit fortunate, but that’s what happens when you back off. Then came the indefensible substitution. I can accept the fact that Uche was gassed, but to replace him with Weir rather than Loft was utterly incredible. I get that we were being completely overrun in midfield but to have no-one with any physicality up top was ridiculous. As soon as that one went in it was only a matter of time for the equaliser. Their number 8 (the ginger haired guy) ran us ragged and I’m pretty sure it was his corner that Jules smashed home. Yep, a corner. Who’d have thought. The third - which looked a good goal - then inevitability followed as we collapsed like the proverbial deck on cards and the fourth was a Sang-inspired Derby-style horror show, and cue the mass exodus and realisation that we were L2 bound.
  17. So, for anyone looking for a picture-perfect example of a slow motion car crash, show them the 2nd half of today’s game. The players - not that (m)any seem to give a rats - hang your heads in shame. Today was a microcosm of our season. A few encouraging signs, but fundamentally flawed through a confused system of playing, weak mentality (I agree with DM on that much), complete lack of leadership, poor physicality, plus awful management. If they are mid-table L1, then we are absolutely light years off being competitive in this league, because that was a 2nd half to rival that at Barnsley. It’s done me. It’s going to need some summer to convince me to watch us ploughing away in L2 again next year.
