Does it stop with Crosby? Surely it stops with Flitcroft as well. I expect Crosby to go but Flitcroft to stay. Personally I would get rid of them both. How many transfers windows does Flitcroft need to bring in a striker. He is also massively to blame for the position we are in. Why are we playing a formation with wing backs every game, when we don’t have any players that are effective there.

Fleetwood (A) match thread 3rd Feb

Flitcroft is as culpable as Crosby is, if not more so. They both need to go now. They can’t keep consistently losing to the bottom team in the league and expect backing from the fans and Carol surely?- 883 replies

Flitcroft has had 4 transfer windows, since we have been promoted, to bring in strikers. He has failed. If we are being priced out of the forward market, why is it that other comparable league 1 clubs (Burton, Shrewsbury, Lincoln, Cambridge, Carlisle) can sign them? We have had obvious issues for the last 2 seasons, yet in the summer the solution taken by the club was to release and then re-sign Wilson and to sell Ellis, who in my opinion wasn’t up to much anyway but he would have still have been a better option than Loft or Uche who are desperation signings. We either have a director of football who is incompetent or we simply cannot compete financially at this level and inevitably whether it be this season or the next we will be back in League 2. The dream of the Championship has never looked so far away.

Every football manager will have ups and downs. That is football. Even managers like Arteta and Guardiola. Most managers have a preferred system of playing. I know that some of the performances have not been great this season and Andy Crosby has been rightly criticised, but he should also be commended for the positives this season. We have played some fantastic football this season and we have sorely missed Wilson and a number of key players being fit. For me football is about momentum and building confidence. Hopefully we can now go on a decent run and build on the last few matches. We have got to a league cup quarter final and we currently sit 14th in the league on 29 points. What were people expecting? We have got something that we can build on. I m all for criticising but we can’t be blind to the positives.
