  1. I'd understand Foyle, but Leon Legge... come off it 😂 Absolutely no chance we should be even having that conversation.
  2. You could tell in the interview he did a few weeks back that he'd had to be persuaded to continue. He's clearly thought enough is enough & made the decision for her. You can't go from releasing that open letter like she did, to sacking the bloke in the space of a few weeks. He wanted out based on the fanbase hating his guts. He's called time & Carol's had to accept it. We'll never know the truth, but that would be my view on proceedings.
  3. I'm not entirely sure she has. I reckon he's been wanting to call it a day for about a month now but she's backed him & asked him to stay on & see it through. He's finally made the decision for her & they've agreed to call it "mutual". Either way he's gone. Let's see what happens next.
  4. Nobody is denying that. Just find it amazing that Baylee getting called up & scoring for England turns into a Flitcroft/current regime bashing opportunity. He was clearly looked after in the early days & he has clearly been looked after in the past few years as well, simple as that. Our Academy was rated something like 91 out of the 92 EFL & Prem clubs when Sevvy was in charge... talk to me about that.
  5. It does, as well as the current coaching staff. 2 goals on his debut, well done Baylee.
  6. So who has been coaching & developing him for the past 3 years? Which regime has provided the pathway to the first team like we have now. Would Baylee have been called up had he not been so active around our first team recently? 100% not. Well done Baylee, well done to the original scouts & well done to the current regime.
  7. Whilst I respect anybody who scouted any of our young talent & they do deserve some plaudits, you can't really throw the Flitcroft card at it IMO. Our Academy looks to be a million times better run now than it was before he arrived. It's all well & good scouting these players, but they have to be developed as well. For the last few years that's been under Flitcrofts watch. Baylee would've been about 14 when Flitcroft got involved. It was a savvy move bringing Will Ryder in. The current setup deserve praise for that. It's a real coup for Vale to get somebody called up for England, let's not dilute that because of other goings on.
  8. Baylee called up to England under 17s squad. Well done young man.
  9. The Bruno/Brown team went down with 49 points. This current bunch have 33 with 9 x games to go. This team is far worse.
  10. 9 points from our last 16 x home games. The worst home run in our 148 year history. Worried about next season. Moore first Vale manager in history to not win any of his first 8 games in charge. Only Vale. See you next week folks.
  11. I'd keep Garrity & Ripley. I genuinely wouldn't be bothered if everybody else left the club. It won't happen obviously, but that shows the strength & ability of our current squad. NB: That doesn't include the young lads. They've done their best in very trying circumstances & should be applauded. However, they should be absolutely nowhere near our starting 11 at this level, or the level below.
  12. This squad struggles in League 2.
  13. When the chants started against Flitcroft after the 2nd goal went in, I looked up at where they sit & Paddy was sat just down from Flitcroft shaking his head in disgust at the chants.
  14. Not a single win in 2024. As we head towards the middle of March. Unfathomable. We deserve so much better than this. Keep your heads up Valiants, you're not alone, we're all feeling it. Dark times.
  15. Because our entire future as a football club is not solely dependent on us being relegated this season, that's how.
  16. Just need to vent slightly here, apologies. Just to be very clear, I'm not a huge lover of DF. I understand ppl think he talks waffle & is pulling the wool over Carol's eyes. I understand he's not a particularly 'likeable' guy. He was always on a hiding to nothing when a club legend & fans fave came out & blitzed him publicly upon his arrival. That planted the seed. It went very very quiet though when we instantly got promoted, didn't it. This for me is yet another clear statement from the club. Well done for getting together with the main supporters groups. I'm confident that Porter & Dicko et al got their points of view across. Ultimately it's Carol's decision on how to manage poor performance of the football side of things (Flitcroft). If she believes in him, then ultimately we have to respect that view & get on with it. I'm not sure what some supporters genuinely expect sometimes. We're not the Dog & Duck. We're a professional football club playing in the 3rd tier of English football (for now). The club shouldn't have to give minute by minute accounts of the goings on behind the scenes. I personally hold the view that a lot of the anger & abuse towards the club & DF is unwarranted. DF answered questions recently including covering the January transfer window. That's a fact. If some fans weren't happy with what they heard then that's unfortunate, but ultimately the bloke explained some of the reasons why we didn't do what we should have done. There's been forums (I'm sure there will be another in the summer). Carol has done podcasts, statements. No matter how many times the club engage, or how they engage, it doesn't change anything, because ultimately ppl aren't getting what they're craving, which is DFs head on a plate. You've got to trust in Carol to make these key decisions. She certainly doesn't help herself at times from a PR perspective but I 100% believe she wants what's best for this football club. If she feels that's to give DF more time to rectify some of his very poor performance, then so be it. If we're honest, he's probably earned more time based on his performance over his full time at the club. He's made massive mistakes, but he's also done some good along the way. & even if Carol did get rid, she's just going to bring another DOF in who some people won't like & will want rid of at the first sign of poor performance. We're having a terrible season. Lots of mistakes have been made. Ppl at the club will be dissapointed with their own performances, DF included. As a fan base we really do need to come together & do everything we can to give us a sniff at staying up. It might not be enough, but we're Vale fans aren't we. We have to try. I genuinely believe in my heart of hearts that good times are ahead of us. Even if we go down this season, I do believe important lessons will have been learned & we will come back stronger. We're all Vale aren't we... let's back them & show some faith. I'm really hopeful of better times ahead. UTV.
  17. Yes, because I'm a Port Vale supporter.
  18. When you take a step back & look at our side, it really is God awful. This team would struggle in L2. 2 x 17 year olds with a sprinkle of players who are National League standard + Ojo who's heartbroken about AC. Garrity & Ripley is not enough. Massive summer ahead. Again.
  19. Has Moore's backroom team been officially announced yet? Carol stated during the emotional speech last weekend that all would be sorted this week. We're now on Friday & still no comms unless I've missed it?
  20. Really was a potential sliding doors moment the miss. Loft scores, gets swamped by his teammates infront of the Hamil giving him a huge boost in confidence & removing the monkey off his back. Name gets chanted from the stands, he breaks into a smile. We win the game & stop up relatively comfortably with Loft bagging a few more before the season is out. It was a massive miss in the context of our season.
  21. It's pretty clear Ojo is still crying about the Crosby sacking. Dedicated his Stevenage pen to him & admitted to throwing tantrums in the week beforehand. He 100% shirked the challenge on the byeline last night. He seems to have thrown the toys well & truly out of the pram & he needs to get a grip, quickly, for our sakes.
