  1. This season we lost 7 nil away at Barnsley and we're going lose this game 6 or 7 nil. Next season we will be back to our annual 5 or 6 nil thrashing at Swindon. I honestly think in 12 months time if we have finished 3rd from bottom in league 2 with this set of players we will have done well. Unfortunately most of them are under contract so it's either pay them up or freeze them out and don't play them and obviously if you do that you are basically paying wages to players you don't want. I can't see many of these waste of space players getting football league clubs. Who is going want Wilson when he's injured half the season and only scores 4 a season. Who is going want uche or loft who have played about 30 games each in all competitions and scored 2 goals. Who is going want Dan Jones injured half a season in all 3 seasons at the club and even though sometimes he does have good games he makes alot of mistakes and gives loads of penalties away. The only players that will attract clubs attention are the ones we want keep that are garrity, chislett,Di pepa and maybe Ripley.
  2. Fair pair to anybody that goes to this thrashing. Make sure you drink as much beer as you can as the game will be <ovf censored> from our perspective. What's our record defeat? If we defend as badly as we did against Exeter in the 2nd half and in the first 10 minutes against Wycombe then we could lose 10 nil.
  3. There was a topic on this forum 2 months ago about season tickets and I said then that there's no chance I will be renewing. Even at frozen prices I can't justify paying that to watch that garbage. I've missed 4 home games this season due to not being bothered go and several of the home games I've arrived 10 minutes late to find were already a goal down and left early when we have being well beaten. We sold something like 6500 season tickets last season and I'm thinking we will only sell 4000 this time. I would have said they should reduce them to 250 but even doing that I think they wouldn't sell the 6500 season tickets, as loads of fans are bored and fed up of losing.
  4. Expecting an easy away win here 2 or 3 nil. This set of vale players arnt worth supporting. The fact alot of them are under contract next season makes me think we will be bottom 2 in league 2 next season. Everybody I've spoke to has said there not renewing there season tickets and these are people who have been going 30 to 40 years. I think I've had enough aswell and will just go occasionally next season. For this season I think lose this 2 or 3 nil, Bolton will put 5 past us and we will probably beat Cambridge 3 1 but by then we will be already down.
  5. They should have announced this offer a week or so ago and not waited 2 days before the game. People may have already brought there ticket for the Exeter game at the full 25 pounds price. If they had announced this deal after we had beat both Burton and Bristol rovers then quite a few would have took it up as there was abit of a buzz about but now after last night's tame effort everybody is down in the dumps again.
  6. Last night's performance was one of the worst vale performances I've ever seen. We basically showed no ambition at all to get forward and even try score a goal and win the game. We let Peterborough have the ball all match and they had 75% if the ball and when you give good players at this level the amount of ball we did then there bound score against us at some point. In the end we ended up with our only decent shot in the match coming right at the end when we were 3 nil down. If it hadn't been for Ripley then it would have been 6 or 7 nil. I think pretty much all of us expected to lose this game it's just the fact we showed no ambition in the game, it was basically like vale were San Marino and Peterborough were England.
  7. I saw a post on Facebook burslem mother town page saying the new owners are looking to sell it already. Basically they arnt making enough money from it so want to sell the business. The man and women who had it previously to these new owners had it for years, ran it well and successfully but have now retired hence why they sold it. Hopefully it gets brought by new owners who want to run it properly as everytime I used to go there Sunday morning it was busy.
  8. We don't have a good record against Peterborough, so if we only lose 1 nil I'd take it, as it doesn't do much damage to the goal difference which is what it could come down to.
  9. He only scored 4 goals in 27 games last season. This season he has only scored 3 or 4 goals and missed about 3 months due to injury again. Yes he did well in the 2021/2022 season in league 2 but I'd be releasing him, not even worth a pay as you play deal either.
  10. Yeah and 2 of those goals would have come at Cheltenham where we ended up losing 3 2.
  11. We need win 1 of our 3 remaining away games. With Wigan having nothing left to play for then technically this is our easiest away fixture. Wigan have been dreadful the past couple of games, so no doubt they will play really well in this game and thrash us 3 or 4 nil.
  12. The tickets have now arrived as I've just been up to buy one. There's only a handful left in block ns2 and I think there going be putting the ns3 block on sale later. There's 2 people basically going through all the Wigan tickets and sorting them out and whilst I was there somebody rang up and was told the tickets will be available to collect from tomorrow.
  13. I actually wanted to physically go to vale and buy a ticket in person then I know I've got the ticket and don't have to mess around either collecting the ticket later in the week or on the day. I might not bother going now and I'm sure there is plenty of others thinking the same.
  14. Can you actually buy Wigan tickets at vale or are they unavailable, sold out or you can buy them but not able collect them?
  15. Because someone made the stupid decision of taking tickets off sale Friday at 12 lunchtime, when people could have brought tickets in the couple of hours before the game. There was no need to stop selling the tickets untill 4 or 5 o'clock on the Saturday when the store shut, but they stopped selling them Friday before the game.
  16. Only sold 400 anyway so there's going be plenty of room. We have Northampton, Wigan, Peterborough and Bolton away and we probably need get 4 points from them away games. Then we need get 6 points from the 3 home games against Exeter, Wycombe and Cambridge. All the 4 away games are very tough I just can't see who we going beat from them. Will predict 1 1 draw for Northampton away which keeps the points column ticking along.
  17. Hopefully Bristol rovers will be on the beach like they were against us last season at vale park. We have been garbage at home and lost a hell of alot of game at vale park so it's about time we start winning some home games. We have 4 home games left and we probably need win 3 of them and win 1 of the 4 tough away games to stand a chance of staying up. I don't predict us to win very often but with how we performed yesterday I will go with a 2 1 win with Wilson penalty and garrity header.
  18. Man utd deserved win in my opinion there players and fans appeared to be more up for the game than Liverpool. The only thing that Liverpool could perhaps question is Bruno Fernandes not getting sent off during the 90 minutes for 2 yellow cards. He got booked for dissent then commited another foul worthy of a booking that the ref took no action with. Also has the players celebrating with fans rule that usually result in a booking being scrapped as rashford scored and didn't get booked and seen it plenty of times recently at vale where the opposition player scored celebrate with fans but no booking.
  19. The fact we have only sold about 600 tickets says it all, nobody wants bother watch this crap vale side. We can continue playing experienced players like Jones,Massey, ojo, smith who are basically not trying and making mistakes galore and lose or we can put out our youngsters shorrock, Walters, plant, dipepa and Lomax who will run about abit and lose. Either way we got no chance wouldn't surprise me if we're as bad as we were away at Fleetwood where we lost 3 nil and it could have been 6, will go 3 nil loss.
  20. I don't think we're going stay up and I think most fans have accepted that now. At least the players put some effort in last night at Leyton Orient even though we could still have lost it at the end we did have chances to win also. The first 3 home games of the season we beat reading, carlise and Northampton all 1 nil, we could do with doing that on Saturday just to give us abit of confidence to show we can win and score goals plus keep clean sheets. Oxford got thrashed by Bolton last night no idea if Oxford were terrible or Bolton played well or if Oxford had alot out injured but we arnt capable of putting 5 past a team so grinding out a 1 nil is the best we can do really. Oxford are a better side than us and should beat us comfortably something like 2 nil but hopefully we can grind out a 1 nil win.
  21. The only positive for anybody going this game is that the tickets are only 10 pounds. Can't see us getting a positive result, probably lose 3 or 4 nil unless Ripley has a decent game.
  22. I usually go Burton away but arnt bothering this time. I'm not expecting us to sell out the allocation but I think over 1000 will still go.
  23. It's not like Charlton need him they already have 3 of the best strikers in the division in may, ladapo and leaburn. I think regarding Connor Wickham I bet the feeling several clubs have tried sign him but he's waited it out till he gets a decent sized club like Charlton paying stupid wages to him every week.
  24. All I will say to anybody that's going this match, make sure you drink plenty of beer and have a good catch up with your mates or family before being ruined by the game. Yes derby lost against Charlton last night but there a good enough side to take the bollocking the manager will give them and respond well to it, unlike our crap, mistake ridden, bottle job players. I think half the fan base will be leaving at half time with us 4 nil down and the rest will follow in the 90th minute when the 8th and 9th go in. Any chance we had of staying up basically went last night throwing away that 2 nil lead, I generally can't see us winning a game therest of the season.
