  1. So 2 games later all hope is gone? Tell me how much time he has been able to spend on the training pitch and BEGIN to implement his ideas? To expect that all a new manager has to do is pitch up, pick the team and give a rousing team talk is pretty naive.
  2. A week ago everyone was hailing the appointment of Darren Moore as a masterstroke. A week is obviously a long time in football.
  3. None of my vale mates are calling for his head. Not saying we are happy with recruitment either by the way. I just think vitriol and negativity breeds negativity which will not give us the best chance of staying up.
  4. Not getting the room or not jumping on the band wagon?
  5. I assume that those mocking this post have waved the white flag with 15 games remaining? That's resilience for you. A good job we've got a manager who believed his team could come back from 4-0 down to win the playoffs.
  6. Hence my original post. How is a negative atmosphere going help the team achieve the goal of staying up? I'll say it again, let's leave the inquest until the end of the season. Or would we prefer to go down if it was the only way of sealing flitcrofts fate?
  7. Would it? Most vale fans are not on social media so it's impossible to gauge how many actually give a <ovf censored> whether flitcroft stays or not.
  8. Two games in hand. 2 very winnable home games. All is not lost folks.
  9. Let's leave the inquest until the end of the season and concentrate on doing everything we can to stay in League 1. If flitcroft walked out of the door tomorrow it won't change where we end up in the league.
  10. We lose our best wingback, top scorer and centre forward to long term injuries. Is that flitcrofts fault? We miss out on good targets in January due to situations out of our hands. These would not have been cheap options. If we'd gone out and signed bang average players instead imagine the backlash. Do people really think that flitcroft will be dictating tactics to Darren Moore? There's so much unsubstantiated <ovf censored> being said at the moment. I firmly believe if we hadn't had the injuries we've had we'd be comfortable mid table.
  11. I take it you hadn't listened to the pod at the time of writing? The questions didn't dance around the main talking points and I don't think Bowers and baggers would have asked anything different.
  12. I thought same, I think it was grant who turned his back not prepared to put his body on the line. It sums up Grant's general demeanour to me.
  13. Pretty sure I heard it when we conceded on Tuesday. In fact I'm sure.
  14. Chanting get flitcroft out when we go a goal down is not getting behind the lads. Of course there's hope FFS.
  15. But that would be true. Vale fans don't half like to make a drama out of a crisis. Let's not cut our noses off to spite our faces. We need to all pull together to retain our league 1 status. If you want to protest can't it wait until the end of the season? How does hounding flitcroft out now help our relegation fight? Judging by the crowd on Tuesday it feels like many have given up on the season already and would probably be happy to see us go down if it meant the final nail in the coffin for flitcroft.
  16. So if he takes training and matches who's looking for and interviewing managers? Let's be honest the real reason people want him in the dugout is to give him dogs abuse.
  17. Flitcroft pretty much damned if he does and if he doesn't at the moment. Surely his number 1 priority is to recruit a manager? Foyley also sounded pretty certain we had a top 10 budget unless I misheard him.
  18. Why not focus on the positives in the same article?:- Kennedy was just 11 leagues games into his second season with the club, and had the Imps 16th in the League One table - five points off the play-off spots and seven clear of the relegation places. The former and Republic of Ireland, Liverpool, Manchester City and Wolves winger guided them to an 11th place finish last term, his first in senior management. Someone who has managed in this division and held his own will do for me. So what if he fell out with the owner, maybe he just isn't a yes man.
  19. Agree, injuries have killed us this season. Clarke, plant, uche, garrity & ojo would be in most fans' starting 11.
  20. On the plus side a decision was made before the end of the transfer window; fingers crossed we've got someone else lined up such as the rumour surrounding the barnsley defender.
  21. yes the uche one was very strange for him to be fully fit playing in games but fail a medical. For all we know uche might have an underlying health condition and same here with williams. Vale fans seemingly very quick to jump on the negative band wagon.
  22. Agree but don't think we should be hanging people out to dry either if a mistake has been made. Pretty sure the club would not want to damage the player's reputation either if indeed he was to blame in some way.
  23. How about we give the medical team the benefit of the doubt if we don't know the details? Could be something that wouldn't necessarily get picked up at the medical if he didn't declare it or answered a question dishonestly? Don't want to cast aspersions on the lad either but we are quick to escalate and blame Flitcroft, carol and the bar staff for something that may have been completely out of our hands.
