  1. If it's a choice between that or just lumping it aimlessly forward in Popeball style and losing possession, 100% yes. The RS neanderthals are terrible for their 'get it forweeerd' demands when there's absolutely nothing on, then moan when we lose possession
  2. Could be anything really couldn't it. Failed medical, Charlton going for 2 strikers in the real hope of bagging just 1 and pulling the deal once Ladapo signed, Charlton telling Uche he wouldn't be first choice, us offering him a new deal yet to be announced, or his agent suddenly changing terms at the last minute. Plus many more potential scenarios likely
  3. I lost interest in the big leagues a long time ago, and don't use Twitter either! Ah well, you learn something every day.
  4. I genuinely don't follow anyone but Vale so didn't have a clue
  5. If some on here had their way we'd have at least 20. In all seriousness, Palermo apparently hold the record - 9 changes in a single season involving 7 managers. They avoided relegation by 1 point, then tried just 5 changes the next season and went down!
  6. Gore? Don't care how good who is if it's a loan. We need permanent signings only, no matter how crap they are, provided that they're ours and we're liable to pay their wages for at least 18 months [emoji6]
  7. Sometimes that's a good thing (that we're not lumbered with them)! I don't have any problem with us going after as many loans as we can, so long as they are better, or much better, than we could get permanently. Ollie and Alfie clearly fall into that category. Kofi and Josh not so much (though Josh I liked). Weir looks promising. Not a bad record for loans this season so far, especially when compared with previous seasons (who could forget Callum Whelan). So long as we do the same kind of quality consistently every window, we're likely to get better players than we could permanently, without the long term risk
  8. I've signed Williams on FM. Don't bother Vale [emoji6] [emoji16]
  9. Who do we have on loan now? Just Balmer, Devine and Weir? Or have I forgotten someone?
  10. If that's the case, must come down to us not being willing to meet their fee etc
  11. Won't be long before Rooney's sacked. Lost all but one since being appointed, and drew the other. Now, who'd have predicted that would end in tears......
  12. Think we should aim for more than 3 points in January personally [emoji16]
  13. So you're basically saying that I make an impossible statement (based purely on facts on how many league goals have been scored by them), then say that you think we'd be stronger with any of the strikers mentioned (based purely on conjecture). I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to argue.
  14. Just had a quick squizz at how the proven strikers that were bandied about on here as being the answer to all our prayers are doing so far this season. Cole Stockton, Tyler Walker, Aaron Pressley, JCH (Brian's choice), Tyrese Simpson, Dale Taylor - 9 league goals between the lot of them. Garritys got more than any of them.
  15. Has the app been removed from the Play store? Can't find it anywhere
  16. It stinks. Probably all the veggie farts
  17. It was a bizarre appointment to begin with. No permanent managerial experience and yet he was expected to pull a club from the position they were. I think a couple on here said it was a great appointment too! I'm all for giving someone a chance, but nothing about the appointment made any sense at all
  18. If Ainsworth carries on the way he's started at QPR, he'll be gone by the end of the season. They're in real relegation trouble now
  19. Just seen this. What a strange situation Ex-Gillingham boss Steve Lovell describes Ramsgate sacking as the 'weirdest' thing that's happened to him WWW.KENTONLINE.CO.UK
  20. Ignore me. Clicked on a fake news site! Didn't actually read the article! Steven Gerrard Appointed Everton Manager on 3 Year Deal SOCCERONSUNDAY.COM
  21. Not even given a full 2 months. It's getting ridiculous now at some clubs. Appoint a manager with no managerial experience just because he's a 'name' on a 3.5 year deal, then sack him after less than 2 months. I would say that some clubs deserve what they get but, as always, it's the fans who will suffer from decisions like this through no fault of their own.
