  1. Hi everyone - I raised this a few weeks ago but had enough interest to follow it up. I've sorted a corporate package from the club to get the pitch available on 1st May at 6pm. My intention is to get interested Vale fans together to play a friendly 11 v 11 game. No experience necessary, all ages and abilities welcome. It works out at £50 each, if any excess is made it will go to the Rudge statue fund. To book a place, get in touch via here, email me at [email protected] or WhatsApp/text on 07834 696939. There's also a Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/7816906018340632 Thanks! Looking forward to it 🙂
  2. Agree to an extent. Carol's got the club at heart and is a brilliant owner in terms of intentions. We'll always have a club with her at the helm. But. But. She's seriously neglected the first team at the expense of everything else and has swallowed too much of everyone else's bull. A season back in League Two might actually help her/us refocus on what the main priority actually is. How many Vale fans would swap the big screen and fancy restaurant for 10 more points this season? Virtually everyone I'd imagine.
  3. Don't disagree that Uche had to go off, but Weir? If Loft comes on at that point we gain a point, minimum.
  4. Is that modern parlance for "gutless no tackles"?
  5. Very frustrating to watch, Vale stood off and let them play, which of course they did. By contrast, Vale players never had time to do anything, as soon as we got the ball there was a Posh shirt all over us. Big difference. If you're not on the same level quality wise, which we're clearly not, no idea what we don't try to beat them in strength, show them we're there, get a foot in, not give them time to play. Make them not want to ball because they're worried they'll get clattered. But no. Far too polite and nice.
  6. Will people give over about this? Really gets on my wick. I don't want to stand up all game thanks, I buy a seat to sit down. It's also illegal to stand in seating areas. I'm not at all arguing that people shouldn't stand up if they want to, but stop moaning at others for not doing so. Different people, different opinions.
  7. You might have seen the advert Vale out put today re: playing on the Vale Park pitch. It's a lot of money (£1,200 + VAT) but between two teams of 11 - 15 players each it's maybe £50 each. I've been in contact with the club about booking a session (a 6pm one after work for most people) and am at the stage of hopefully agreeing. However... before I do, who would be up for it? No definites needed yet, just want to see if there's enough interest so I'm not massively out of pocket 😬 Also that no one else has had the same idea and doing the same thing! Cheers! UTV
  8. Ojo's performance was not the reason we lost. Not even close to being a small part of it. He's head and shoulders above some of the players on that pitch yesterday, he must be looking around and regretting signing an extension.
  9. They have. Not sure whether it was social media or somewhere else but I've seen an official announcement that he's left.
  10. If we're willing to spend the money on a manager like Darren Moore, I don't understand why we weren't willing to spend the money on a striker at the start of the season. The net effect is exactly the same.
  11. Those slating Uche must be sandwich short of a picnic. He came to us after not playing for 8 months, no surprise at all that he took a while to get fit and his first appearances weren't top drawer. Now he's nearing fitness (not even 100% yet I don't think) he's terrifying defences, we're scoring more than at any other point in the season and other clubs are sniffing around trying to prise him away. All of that of course points to him being crap!
