  1. I agree that all that gimpy management speak about "championship ready" "want need expect" etc is so cringe now in the cold light of day that I'd imagine she's pretty embarrassed. Transparency though, I disagree. We as fans have reasonably frequent access to people like Matt Hancock and flickdick via fans forums and supporters club meetings. 1 month ago she sat down with the dicko, Mark porter and so on to hear there concerns and a week later she sacked the moron. Outside of a Sunderland till I die style documentary, I'm not sure what more we can ask for.
  2. My two pence. I think anyone seriously calling for Carol's head really really needs to take a long hard look at where we were under Smurf and where we are now. On the pitch it's absolutely garbage, Carol is not a football expert and employed an absolute ball bag to oversee football operations who spent loads of money on terrible players and terrible managers. The only fault I place at her door is that she was too loyal both to flickdick and Crosby (although in hindsight what could he do with the utter maggots in the squad we've got). Off the pitch, we've got toilet issues, but we've also got a lot of positive stuff going on. The Academy is flying, due to competent people being put in place to run it in will ryder. Toilets aside we are making improvements in our facilities year on year. She's not perfect, but the accounts alone show that we are absolutely indebted to her both for positive cash flow and for saving us from Smurfs greedy mits. Were all angry right now, she put our squad building in the hands of a charlatan and he's delivered a relegation for us. But be careful what you wish for trying to chase her out.
  3. Who even cares anymore. Just hurry up and get relegated so we can put this miserable season behind us.
  4. You've lost me completely here. How does a loan to barclays at a small interest rate mean that a large proportion of losses are interest owed to Carol?
  5. I'd echo Joe's point above. The numbers look scary, but it's not out of the ordinary. Clubs with positive balance sheets are very much in the minority. As long as someone is willing and able to prop you up, it's basically the route you have to take.
  6. All loans too carol and or related companies are interest free, according to the notes. So none of the losses relate to interest owed to Carol or her kids.
  7. PORT VALE FOOTBALL CLUB LIMITED filing history - Find and update company information - GOV.UK FIND-AND-UPDATE.COMPANY-INFORMATION.SERVICE.GOV.UK Anymore interested can find the info here
  8. The club have released the accounts for the year ending June 2023, Kieran Maguire usually does a deep dive on club accounts so that might be out later today but the highlights (or lowlights) include: 1) Total losses for the year - £3,396,024 2) Cash balances dropped by £635,737 to £185,931 3) Monies owed to the Shanahans or there related companies up £2,899,240 to £8,451,296 4) Average number of employees up by 73 to 319 people 5) Loans and other borrowing owed to bank up slightly to 121k
  9. It's officially official
  10. Just another vintage performance served up by the dreges of the football league that Flitcroft managed to pull together. Pathetic group of footballers, most of which wouldn't get a hire in the National League. We've been shown tonight what league one steady is and these fraudsters are miles away.
  11. He should not be playing in L1. He's no where close to ready. At least Dipepa and Shorrock show a bit of willing. The fact that we are begging him to sign a contract is laughable. There's no way the rumours of stoke can be true, he'll be lucky to get a contract with baisingstoke when we bin him in summer.
  12. Ryan Loft, Gavin Massey, Jason Lowe, Rhys Walters, connor grant. Get in your cars after the game and don't come back. The epitome of dross.
  13. Thank god we've signed a left back who hasn't played since October from the American second division. Our prayers to this shambles of a performance have been answered.
  14. What a pathetic group of footballers this is.
  15. If this doesn't end 3-0 posh we've won the lotto the way we're playing.
  16. Well there hasn't been a transfer window so that's probably why, unless you want a DoF who's picking the team?
  17. No thank you. Foyle or someone with a similar track record. I don't want Sproson who'll only be interested in pushing his own players or Legge who has 0 experience. We tried the 0 experience route with Flitcroft/Crosby and look where that got us
  18. 50 seconds in, basically admitted to throwing a paddy when Crosby left and messaging him to say he scored the penalty for him. Goes someway to explain the utter dross he's been offering up on the pitch since.
  19. Connor Grant, Gavin Massey, Ryan Loft, James Wilson, Uche, Jason Lowe, all the current loan players, Mitch Clarke, Dan Jones, Yak and Tom Sang fcked as far off as is humanly possible, regardless of division. Start again with what's left, Ripley Smith Debbie, ojo, Garrity, Chissy and Dipepa.
  20. I understand that, I also get that the reason we go for them is they are cheap cause no one else will touch them with a barge pole. We need to change the recruitment model or were always gonna encounter these issues.
  21. Under the previous recruitment regime we seemed to gravitate towards players with long injury records. You reap what you sow.
  22. It's amazing what can happen when you remove a festering growth from the club. Up. The. Vale. I've got my club back.
  23. There's no way it should be John Rudge as director of football for me: 1) he's 80 2) he's a club legend, if he took it and it went wrong it would take away from his relationship with the fans (see Dean Glover). 3) people go on about his contact, that was 30+ years ago. None of those people will be still in football.
  24. 100% yes. If you want to keep up with modern football then you need the structure in place where the manager can manage and recruitment is dealt with by people who can throw all there energy into it. What you shouldn't do is give it to a chancer who talks a good game.
  25. Very important time now for Carol. I think we definitely need a DoF, one with experience and a track record of success. Moore could be a good manager with a half decent team to look after, flicky has failed two years on the spin to produce one. We're behind you Carol, you've made the right call, now get the next call right!
