  1. Carol, I never, ever thought I'd find myself saying this but if you don't start to see David Flitcroft for what he is, Port Vale could well die on your watch. That could end up being your legacy. The team that got us up was a much better side than this. We've played two seasons at league one level with a side much inferior to our league Two team. Have we even taken it <ovf censored> seriously since we got promoted? Ripley, Ojo, Devine and Arblaster are the only players we've signed that would've gotten a shirt in that squad since we came up. And two of those only played 6 months, not being our players. That is David Flitcrofts fault. He is the director of football. He puts the squad together. I don't blame most of the players. It's ability and numbers (lack of both) that have us where we are now. I cannot believe the optimism I had for the Vale when you took over. The joy brought by the promotion (the 4th in the 35 years I've been following the Vale. The wave that created and have we ridden that wave? Have we capitalised one bit on that? Christ no!!! Instead you've allowed that absolute pillock to turn us in to a soulless training ground for top tier loan signings. Brilliant, thats Port Vale to you is it? I honestly believe that you do not give one stuff about actual supporters. Your actions are saying just that in not just keeping faith with that utter madman, but actually lording him up to the supporters. Telling us off for daring to become disillusioned at his apparent long termism. Long term? Jesus!!! We're back to whence we came next season. Its absolute failure and the most infuriating part is that it was so, so avoidable. I feel absolutely pig sick.
  2. He ain't happy Not many are But we've got try and get behind the team to get some points
  3. I will stop that, I'm just trying my best not to watch it Keep peaking at flashscore through my fingers
  4. With loft, it ain't his fault Gav, can't really say the same!
  5. Wonder if Saint David has caught that free agent striker he was chasing this time last week?
  6. It's your chance to see Dwight Gayle notching a few in black and white.
  7. <ovf censored> yourself off David A joke
  8. I listened to the Flitcroft podcast and thought it was a really good listen. But then him being a really good listen isnt really in doubt. By the end of it i did find myself thinking i'd been hasty. But its so difficult with him. He touched on the club maybe not communicating the plan enough. I thought he was over complicating that. We just wanted to know why, after two windows this season, we are facing the second half of the season (fighting for survival) with no striker coming in. I feel like an idiot repeating myself on the striking situatio but, since we were promoted, we've signed matt taylor, loft and resigned willo in four windows. Uche as well as a desperado signing. Its farcical, not just unfortunate. He talks a great game does Dave and i always end up liking him after listening to him. Hes pulled what appears to be a cracking managerial appointment out the bag. One that I'm very happy and excited about. But I'm still not convinced we're going to be safe. If the Gayle rumour turns out to be true then great. My concern with him is he's broken. According my stoke mates he literally cannot move. We'd have to buck our ideas up and create some serious clear chances there. I want it all to come to fruition, really do. There is very good reason for folk being sceptical though. Make it happen though Dave and you'll be a great in my eyes. Made me realise again as well how carried away in our passion we can get as supporters again. People are human and some of the stuff we are all capable of coming out with is way too much.
  9. Indeed he did. For all his shortcomings as a manager he played his part in an amazing season for us and in keeping us up with DC last year. Shows the hierarchy up.
  10. David Flitcroft, get the <ovf censored> out.
  11. It is truly disgusting from the club again. Smacks of the Colin garlick "retirement." I've heard how Carol likes to treat certain people professionally and it ain't exactly nice aunty Carol. Her DF have got a lot to do to get fans back board now. Lot of damage done. However, feels pretty cba on their to me.
  12. Fingers crossed lopata isn't too serious. He was decent. I like what I've seen of mighten, looks dangerous. Kind of player you're worried a out when the opposition have one.
  13. Its those sorts of performances and results that give you hope. Whether that's false hope or not, we'll know at the end. We put a shift in today and looked like we wanted it. We got thr ball forward a lot quicker than usual and got two goals out of it. Ojo showed why he's such a miss to us when he's out. Picked the ball up off the back three and used the ball well. For me it was either him or willo for mom rather than chislett. We've also had a slice of luck, their lad should have made it 3.1 and game over. But we deserved that luck today and we've scored through an og and a pen. With a bit more belief and a centre forward or two who knows, we could've won. Carry on building on performances like that and we've got a shot at it. Also rams home how much the team have been shafted from above in January. IF we stay up this season, that will be in spite of our supreme dof.
  14. That's an awful lot of money to spend "out of respect" I strongly, strongly disagree that we are doing everything we can to stay in league one. All that, and not one mention of the January transfer disaster. David Flitcroft, get out of our club.
  15. In my view, that's pretty much what happens.
  16. Definitely I suspect there's a big influence from above on what the formations going to be, probably who's in it and even who's being subbed when (in line with the stats).
  17. That is of course true, but perhaps as a club that's what we're after.
  18. Come on Osh me ode tater. As annoying as some can be, you know that's not how it works with football clubs Your club is for life, whether you're in love with them or not.
  19. I'm no longer convinced we're even trying to get a striker. Plenty of them moved in this window and to clubs who are certainly no better off than us. It's been an issue for so long now it's gone way past a joke.
  20. “Then a box finisher. Over the next four to six weeks, I know our creation and xG will improve and we will get more aggression in that area. We are looking for that box striker, someone who anticipates and is on the move and scores goals. “They night not necessarily get involved in the build up, but that type of striker is something we have probably not had at the club since I have been here. Someone who just enjoys scoring goals. “People might say he can’t do this or that, but he scores goals. That type of striker is our number one target.” Dave Flitcroft in The Valiant 8th December edition Smashed the number one priority haven't we?
