  1. If i was a sceptic (and i am a sceptic), I'd say we were really hoping Crosby would see us limp over the line without spending anything in January. However, losing to the bottom side for the fourth time this season was the final straw for the fan base and serious unrest began to surface. The fans were gunning for flitcroft after that. I'm not sure the sacking of Crosby was particularly planned. Something came to a head that Monday after Fleetwood. I think Crosby may have kicked off, said a few home truths about the hand he'd been dealt in the January window and that kicking off led to his sacking. Flitcroft, and possibly Carol, realised the look this had and we have gone and thrown a lot of money at Darren Moore to get him to be our manager, probably to save face. They were probably all set to appoint Mark Kennedy, he wasn't at the orient game for nothing. However, they caught wind fans would be even more unhappy and so went to Darren Moore with a 5 year deal. I have absolutely no evidence, no source that any of that is how it worked. Just a feeling that's all. I do genuinely believe we thought we'd see the season out with Crosby but the hand was forced by yet another dire performance and fan unrest. It's panic, basically. Could be way off.
  2. Yeah you've got a point mate, probably not the best thought out response from myself. I don't do very well when I'm thoroughly pissed off and frustrated. Not sure I agree with your no brain comment mind.
  3. Got to play with wingers and go direct for that to happen mate. Saint David would never allow it.
  4. Cheltenham have scored 5 fewer goals than us and they didn't score any for the first 10 games!
  5. <ovf censored> yourself off David A joke
  6. We even did our best for him though. Ripley was setting him up!!!
  7. I will say this about loft, he puts the effort in He hasn't signed himself That would be DF DF was scurrying around after him for months apparently
  8. I think we do you know Carol's under some sort of spell
  9. Appointing David Flitcroft isn't one of them Ahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahaahah
  10. I think they're just just <ovf censored> mate All the effort/passion in the world wouldn't save this lot Can genuinely only think of Ripley and ojo who I would say were proper league one quality And Ripley is about to be relegated two seasons on the bounce
  11. Could have ancelotti in charge if us and we wouldn't stop conceding The side DF and Co have assembled here is a joke. I can't see how we're going stay up. I keep looking at those games in hand but they mean nothing as we just can't get points. Quite what happens in the summer is anyone's guess.
  12. I listened to the Flitcroft podcast and thought it was a really good listen. But then him being a really good listen isnt really in doubt. By the end of it i did find myself thinking i'd been hasty. But its so difficult with him. He touched on the club maybe not communicating the plan enough. I thought he was over complicating that. We just wanted to know why, after two windows this season, we are facing the second half of the season (fighting for survival) with no striker coming in. I feel like an idiot repeating myself on the striking situatio but, since we were promoted, we've signed matt taylor, loft and resigned willo in four windows. Uche as well as a desperado signing. Its farcical, not just unfortunate. He talks a great game does Dave and i always end up liking him after listening to him. Hes pulled what appears to be a cracking managerial appointment out the bag. One that I'm very happy and excited about. But I'm still not convinced we're going to be safe. If the Gayle rumour turns out to be true then great. My concern with him is he's broken. According my stoke mates he literally cannot move. We'd have to buck our ideas up and create some serious clear chances there. I want it all to come to fruition, really do. There is very good reason for folk being sceptical though. Make it happen though Dave and you'll be a great in my eyes. Made me realise again as well how carried away in our passion we can get as supporters again. People are human and some of the stuff we are all capable of coming out with is way too much.
  13. Feeling old now I remember the bradford side with both of those two in it playing at the Vale
  14. Funny how everyone had forgotten the pulling off but you've dragged it up by yourself 😉 😜 😆
  15. Well, I said it was fantasy talk that we'd appoint DM but I was obviously wrong about that and glad that was. That feels like a very solid appointment. I just hope he can get a tune out of us in the next few weeks, keep us up and then get the backing to make the squad his own in the summer. I was shocked by the contract length. That is very brave. I'd assume there were clauses on both sides in there.
  16. I agree with Flitcroft on this one, I'm sure Rooney would get us out of this division.
  17. Indeed he did. For all his shortcomings as a manager he played his part in an amazing season for us and in keeping us up with DC last year. Shows the hierarchy up.
  18. David Flitcroft, get the <ovf censored> out.
  19. It is truly disgusting from the club again. Smacks of the Colin garlick "retirement." I've heard how Carol likes to treat certain people professionally and it ain't exactly nice aunty Carol. Her DF have got a lot to do to get fans back board now. Lot of damage done. However, feels pretty cba on their to me.
  20. Fingers crossed lopata isn't too serious. He was decent. I like what I've seen of mighten, looks dangerous. Kind of player you're worried a out when the opposition have one.
  21. Its those sorts of performances and results that give you hope. Whether that's false hope or not, we'll know at the end. We put a shift in today and looked like we wanted it. We got thr ball forward a lot quicker than usual and got two goals out of it. Ojo showed why he's such a miss to us when he's out. Picked the ball up off the back three and used the ball well. For me it was either him or willo for mom rather than chislett. We've also had a slice of luck, their lad should have made it 3.1 and game over. But we deserved that luck today and we've scored through an og and a pen. With a bit more belief and a centre forward or two who knows, we could've won. Carry on building on performances like that and we've got a shot at it. Also rams home how much the team have been shafted from above in January. IF we stay up this season, that will be in spite of our supreme dof.
  22. I would be very impressed with Moore but it's just total fantasy imo. I couldn't see him coming to us now even without DF. No way will a manager like Moore sign up to having his formation decided for him by DF every week. It's going to be someone seemingly very mediocre imo. Someone fine with being told how to set up
  23. Problem is, he'd have to somehow make us hard to beat by sticking with the formation we already play as that's a non negotiable apparently. I'm all for changing it and horribling/shithousing our way to survival through.
