The Sentinel newspaper reports that Port Vale have taken on three trialists ahead of their opening friendly game.
Manager John Askey is looking to strengthen his squad and the paper claims that a right-back and two goalkeepers have joined the side in training.
Askey is looking for a replacement for departed keeper Sam Hornby and competition for right-back James Gibbons.
The trio could feature in the club’s opening friendly game against Kidsgrove.
